My steam mop (bissell) broke over the weekend and I need to get a new one.

My mom suggested the Shark Vac then Steam (even though she doesn't have it, just saw it on tv), but I don't know anyone that has it.

I will be using it on about half my house so it needs to be a good one.

If you like your steam mop, please recommend it to me! I need to get one in the next few days.

Thanks!

I have the shark steam mop and love it. I bought my first one about 4 years ago and it finally broke. I used the heck out of it. My previous house was all wood floors, so that steam mop saw a lot of mileage. My new home only has wood floors on one floor, but I also use it on the tile floors in the restroom. I had to buy a new steam mop about a month ago. I do not have the steam vac though. That wasn't on the market when I needed to replace my old one or I probably would have bought that instead.

I have a Shark steam mop and  it! You might want to check out QVC or HSN to see what they have. My mom got hers through one of them (sorry, can't remember which one) and I like the way you fill and empty hers MUCH better than mine.

I don't have the vac one. I just didn't feel that it would do a good enough vacuuming job, but it's just that, a feeling. I don't know anyone who has one to make a judgment about them.

I have a $25 coupon off the shark mop, and I'm contemplating getting it mainly for our tile floors. Can you also use it on real hardwood or just laminate? I've been just using Bona and a cotton mop thingy on our hardwood, but I'd like to use the steamer once in a while. I definitely don't want to damage the wood though.

The coupon was through Costco FYI.

It works great on all types of floors. My previous home was laminate and my new home has real wood floors. I've also used it on tile in the bathroom. I've used it on my real wood floors for 2 years and have not had any problems.

I bought the eureka steam mop based on Amazon.com reviews. I love it! And I'm actually going to use it in a few minutes.

Another Shark owner here. Have one at each house.
Laminate in one and tons of tile in the other. Love it!!
No matter how clean I think the floors are, it gets more off....feels so good after.
I got them both at Costco....they come with more pads that way ::yes::

I had a Shark and was really happy with it until it quit working the other day

I was going to replace it with the same (Target had them on sale), but then I checked Consumer Reports and thought I'd try the Eureka instead this time. I ordered it at Walmart online for $67 with the "$.97 shipping to your home" option and will be interested in trying it out.

Hope I like it as much as my old Shark pocket mop!

BTW Consumer Reports lists them as:
(best to worst)

H2O Mop Ultra SC-393
Eureka Enviro Steamer 313A
Oreck Steam It Steam 100
Bissel Steam Mop Deluxe 31N1
Shark Steam Pocket Mop S3501
SteamFast SF140
Shark S3101
Bionaire 22499
Steamboy T1
Haan Duo HD-50

:dance3:

I am on my second Shark and while I love the concept, not sure I love this machine. Maybe it is just me, but the stupid thing stops putting out steam. I have to practically slam it around to make the steam come out. I don't know if it is clogged or what. Anyone else have this problem?

We've had the Eureka Envirosteamer for about 6 months now and absolutely love it. We used it on ceramic and hardwood, and constantly get compliments on how beautiful our hardwood floors are.

I had the H20 mop and it only worked a couple of times. It was a piece of junk.
