SO and I are travelling down to FL for Christmas. He was going to have to work a half day tomorrow and we were going to have to leave at about noon, and drive the whole way, but at least we would make it for Christmas. We were sad we were missing out on the X-Mas eve celebrations though. We just found out on Friday that he was able to get tomorrow morning off. So we are leaving at 6pm tonight!!! Yeah!!!!
Now on to the good part! We didn't want to cart all of our presents to each other down to FL so we had "our" christmas last night. We went out to dinner (P.F. Chang's....love their steamed dumplings) and came home to open presents. We are getting a puppy when we get back from FL that was supposed to be my "big" gift I thought....but I opened tons of great stuff including a Burberry Scarf I had want, the full line of Bath and Body Works Tea Fragrence Collection in the Green Tea and Cucumber, tons of Bath and Body works True Blue spa stuff (love that!), Victoria's Secret body stuff, books, CDs, lots of other stuff and a beautiful diamond pendent and diamond earings, which were absolutely stunning. I was so surprised that I got all of this stuff and then....
he goes into the closet and pulls out this giant (5 feet long 4 feet high) stuffed dog to represent the puppy I will get when we get back. To give you an idea about this stuffed animal, I can totally sit on his back and lift my feet off the ground, he supports all your weight. He is huge and adorable...but the best part was this envelope attached to him. I pull out the paper and the first fold says "Hmmm what could this be...?" Then the next fold says "Want to go to..." then there is a WDW logo and the inside of the paper was our flight schedule. I was just staring at it and couldn't understand. I was reading this little passage at the bottom about choosing which one I wanted. My wonderful, wonderful SO has been planning this for a couple of months. He already took the time off of work and went through his work travel agent and booked us two trips, one to WDW and one to DL. Now I have to pick which one I want. I can choose either, but can't have both. I am so surprised. He can never schedule trips because he is constantly on business trips and never knows when they will come up, but this is definite we are going!!!!! We have the airline, hotel, and tickets already booked as a package for both trips and I have until Jan. 2nd to decide which one I want so he can cancel the other one. We are going from Feb 6-10. He also said that we can just keep the airline tickets and cancel the rest of the packages if I want to plan it (choose different hotel, tickets). He knows I love planning Disney trips. I am soooooo excited.
We leave for FL in about 5 1/2 hours so I have tons of packing to do, but just wanted to share how happy I was with my DIS friends!!
Now comes the hard part. Deciding. I am so familiar with WDW and I love it. I have been 25+ times. I have never before been to DL. I would like to go to DL, but WDW has more parks and more to do. Also due to flight times we would have one full day longer in Florida than we would in California.... If you were given this present what would you choose and why? Please give me some imput. I only have till Jan. 2nd to decide!!!!!
