I must be crazy,taking to DD & DS to Disney World by myself, hopefully I survive!!!

It has been over a year since we have been to Disney World (February 2010),
and I finally get to plan another trip I am so excited. This will be our 6th trip (I think). This trip will be unlike any other I am taking DD & DS all by myself for the first time ever. Usually DH or My mom or My sister comes with me but this time I'm taking them solo. Hopefully I survive, I will be out numbered.

So here are my details so far:

Dates: October 22nd-28th
Resort: Coronado Springs

Other details will be added as they are booked.

Cast:

Me~Jessica~ 31, SAHM to my two children, I am also a fulltime student. I am the Vacation planner in our family, infact I am the planner of all things in my family. I am a researcher and scheduler so expect this trip to be meticulously planned and very detailed. Six months isnt much time and I hope I can get it all done in time!!!

DS~J~is almost 12 (June) he is my sports fanatic and plays a ton of them soccer, baseball, football, basketball and wrestling. He is at the beginnings of the I don't have parents and I was hatched from an egg stage, but he loves Disney World.

DD~B~ Is 9 is my princess, she is a gymnast and cheerleader but all other athletic ability is completey foriegn to her. She love Disney and is my second in command when it comes to planning.

DH~Won't be on this trip

Update: I love my parents but due to their generosity which I total appreciate I now have to plan 2 disney/florida trips. My mom wants to take Me, DS & DD to Florida/Disney World for DS 12th birthday in June, the catch is I have to plan everything. So I now have a month and a half to plan DS's birthday trip but to trips two Disney this year is awesome

I'm super jealous that you'll have 2 trips this year! I'm a single mom of 2 boys and I've been doing trips with just me and my 2 kids for about 6 years now. All the previous trips had either my parents, my sister or my aunt's family so I thought I'd have trouble being the only adult, but it was never a problem! I think you'll have a great time no matter what!!

I am in the same boat as you. Previous trips, we always travelled as a family, DH or my parents. However, this Sept. DH will not be joining us due to business trip the other side of planet.

I was very scared and could not sleep for a couple of days when this trip was decided (maybe excitement also). However, now I really look foward to this trip. I think it's very nice to build a special memory with your kids and they'll always remeber as "Remeber that WDW trip you took us by yourself....."

That's like a dream come true, a free vacation that you get to plan on your own! I know some people hate planning, but it's part of the fun for me.

I absolutely love planning our trips but a month and a half is such short notice, I'm more afraid I'm going to overlook something that is important! But I am excited for two trips.

June Trip Update: I booked our hotel for the June trip. We are staying off property, my mom prefers it. We decided to drive for the June trip from Indiana to Florida. I have an aunt who lives in North Carolina, my favorite aunt, and we want to stop and visit on our way home! My cousin, Aunts daughter, will also be visiting her from Montana at that time and I havent seen her in about 6 years and I have never met her son,so we all decided it would be fun to spend a day there and visit. I also want to take DD & DS to St. Augustine, I went there as a child on a school field trip, when I lived in florida.

October Trip Update: I haven't gotten very far on planning this trip, I booked Coronado Springs, and we are doing the Disney dinning plan, we have never used it before so I will be doing more research on it. I am currently planning out our ADR's and will update when I finish them. I am hopefully booking our flight this week.
I'm pretty sure we are going to have a great time just the three of us, I'm just a little nervous about being out numbered!!

Studying for finals this week so I may not get too much planning done this week.

I'm back we had alot of fun. I'm a little rushed so I will do a proper report later, however it will be pictureless as my camera was stolen on our last day in Florida. My mom may have some ok pictures but she took them with her phone so I have to wait for her to email them to me.

I can now focus on the October trip which I have alot to update on but I have to take DD to cheer camp so I will update later!!
