Towncrier - I have Styx Paradise Theater album that has a pattern on it like you described!

That's the one!!! I know that there was at least one laser etched 45 RPM record released at about the same time. I'm sure that I bought that as well.

We still have bunches of LP's. We even bought a turntable just so we could still play them.

My ds considers our LPs to be part of his inheritance someday. Isn't that funny?

I miss LPs too, OK.

DH collects albums and original master recordings (fancy expensive albums...) and rebuilds old tube amps/pre-amps. I guess I have been brain-washed, but I prefer the sound of the albums.

Actually, a lot of audio purists' prefer listening to a record versus a cd. The records have a "warmth" and "depth" that cd's just can't capture.
