Any other "Clean House" fans out there??
DH, DS21, and I were out to brunch this morning at the restaurant where DS18 works, when I got a message on my cell phone from a woman I work with, telling me that they were filming an episode of "Clean House" in a nearby town. She and I have discussed this show at work, so she knew I was a fan, and she had just left the yard sale herself.
The yard sale for the show ran from 9am - 1pm. I got the message at around 12:30, and DH asked if I wanted to head over there. I was envisioning big crowds, but I said "Sure, let's go check it out!".
We got there about 15 minutes later, and all 4 "stars" of the show were there. Matt Eisman (sp?), Trish Suhr, Mark Brunetz, and Niecy Nash. We were able to walk right up to Matt, Trish, and Mark and pose for pics with them, and chat with them. Niecy had security around her, and she was walking over to shoot a segment near the items in the yard sale, so we only got a picture of her from a distance away.
Matt, Trish, and Mark looked GREAT!! We have a large screen HD TV, and I have to say, these 3 looked even better in person, and I think only Trish had make-up on.
Matt Eisman is VERY tall, Trish is VERY petite, and Mark was about the same height as he appears on tv.
All 3 of them were VERY, very nice, took the time to chat, and didn't give the impression that they were in a rush or anything. In fact, Trish made my DH snap a second pic of her and I because she thought she might've been talking and had her mouth open in the first pic. LOL Also, all 3 of them pulled me close and put their arms around me when we posed for the pics. I didn't mind at all of course, but was surprised that they weren't a little more... I don't know... personal space conscious. lol
I'm not normally a star-struck person at all, but it was somewhat surreal to meet these people who I normally watch on tv. I felt like I had stepped right into one of the episodes.
Oh yeah... I asked Mark if they were in MA shooting one of their "Messiest Home in the Country" episodes because they normally only do houses in the Los Angeles area, but he said that the show is now national and they'll go anywhere in the country.
P.S. Maybe I'll post the pics later after DH downloads them from his phone. I look awful because I didn't plan on going there, and also after brunch we were going to go right back home to do yard work! lol
EDITED TO ADD PICS:
Niecy was grabbing the hand of a little girl and saying to her "Take a walk with me!"
Matt liked when I told him that I recognised him in the second Transformers movie (very small role). LOL
Trish was so nice and I love her accent! She said that it took a lot "war paint" for her to look this good. LOL
I told Mark that he is the ONLY designer on tv who I'd allow to design anything in my house. Been watching this show for years and I always like his designs.
