I met my first DISer today!

I was doing a focus group about WDW tonight and a fellow DISer was there (DTurner)!

I got an email from WDW a few weeks ago asking if I wanted to participate in a focus group and if so to reply to the email with my name and number. So I did, got the call back and was scheduled for 4 pm today. There was a girl there in lime green shorts - so I asked "Do you DIS?" and she looked at me like I was a nut, but the lady next to me who wasn't in lime green (I wasn't either) said "I DIS!". That made me look a little less crazy, LOL. Anyway, it was neat!

What's a focus group?

It is a group of 5-8 individuals, sometimes more but if less it is considered a mini-focus group, that sit in a room and give feedback on different items.

I did participate in one at Disney, but it was actually for a website for AT&T...this was about 8 years ago.

I actually met another DISer without trying the other day! I was at a b-day party for a friend of DD4, and I started chatting with another parent. I told her that we were going to WDW the first week of school (her MIL founded the school that both of our kids (5 total) attend), so she was telling me about the trip they had just taken in July. As we got further into the conversation, she asked me if I had checked out the www.wdwinfo.com site and the DIS boards. Of course, my next question was, "what is your screenname?"

Turns out that commando and I, not only send our kids to the same school, but we live in the same neighborhood! You just never know!
