night 3 Chef De France, have no idea how kid friendly this place will be or how the food is, but we have 5pm ressies so hopin to see remmie

night 4 mamma soula's ( this seems similar to tonys...am i right)

night 5 rainforest cafe...have no ideam but my son loves volcanoes

night 6 50s primetime...

night 7 Hoop De Doo..is my 3yr old too young for this???

night 8 tusker for breakfast

night 9 coral reefe...how do we get near tank?

night 10 undecided, either Kona cafe or Ohana. This is a supper resevations as well, is it kid friendly? is it just squewers or regular meals????

Please advise:love:

Ohana is very kid friendly. It is one of our favorites and my pick if you have children. The last time I was there I remember the severs teaching all the kids to hula or maybe they just danced around--I can't remember. I do know that the kids were part of the entertainment.

You really do not go to Rainforest Cafe for the food, it is all about the atmosphere. My 12 year old requested it for this trip so we are going even though I would much rather eat somewhere else.

We requested to sit by the tank both times we ate at the Coral Reef. The first time we were right against the tank and the next time we were just across the isle. We were very pleased with on both occasions. We made our request when we checked in. You may have to wait a little longer, but if you really want to be by the tank, I would wait.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!!!

The only comment I can make as to the food is about Crystal Palace. We love it. The food is very good, and the buffet is always stocked nicely.
Plenty of choices and the kids can eat off the adult section. A good way to introduce new foods, or very good for those who love to eat. ;)

Since you are thinking of Ohana or Kona, I can tell you Ohana is our very favorite on property.
It is not just skewers of meat, but a HUGE meal.
You get:
Pineapple bread and salad to start, then sticky wings with 3 sauces to dip in, lomein noodles and a veggie assortment (brocolli, carrots and snowpeas).
Then the skewers of meat, sirloin (which comes well done but you can ask for a lesser cooked choice if you want), chicken, pork and peel and eat shrimp.
Lastly the best dessert on property....the bread pudding with bananas foster caramel sauce.....oh my gosh, just sinful!!

Now as for Le Chefs and Remmy, you may want to research this as I think he isn't there into dinner too long. Thought I read somewhere that his last pass thru the restaurant is arounf 5pm. So if you are seated a bit late you may miss him. Definitely check that out if that is important.

Good luck and have a great time!!!

ok, do i make that request for coral reefe when i check into my resort or when we check into restaurant?

According to the Steve Soares website, Remy is Mon-Sat at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 and 5:20.

You didn't say what day your reservation is, but there is no Remy on Sundays. Also, 5pm might be cutting it close if they are delayed in seating you. Remy only circles the room once, then it's finished.

Looks like some good choices! We had a Rainforest Cafe here in Kansas City (it closed.. food was not good), and what I did when my kids were little was to just go there for appetizers or dessert. It is not worth wasting a dining credit for if you are doing the DDP. I woulod just snack out of pocket there myself if I had to go.

Crystal Palace is the best! Ohana is great for kids, and Chefs de France can take a bit to get through dinner. My DS was a good restaurant baby and we went when he was 2 and he got bored with being there that long. It was like 2 hours start to finish. The food was good though!

Crystal Palace is our favorite. You'll love it!

Don't worry if you're not near the tank at Coral reef. You can see the tanks just fine from anywhere in the restaurant. We actually prefer not to be close because we don't like having little kids come up & look at the tank while we're eating next to it. It makes our own little kids want to get up and run around! LOL

can we use a quick service or lunch service for rainforest cafe, or is it a table service only??? Maybe this will be a good way to use another option on dining plan.

It would be a TS credit. I find the food there is cheap enough to pay OOP for, even for dinner. If you've ever been to a Hard Rock Cafe or Planet Hollywood, the menus and food are very similar.

The Rainforest Cafe is not actually on the regular dining plan....you'll have to OOP anyway for this one. It is only covered on the top two dining plans (I'm not sure what they are called....deluxe and platinum maybe?)

i did my reservations online and rainforest cafe was on the ddp...i only have the regular plan

If I am remembering correctly there are 2 rainforest cafes, one @ AK and the other DTD. Double check again on the WDW site. I remember reading in Jan about DDP changes and I'm thinking that at least one if them was added to DDP.

It does say online that it is on the dining plan but if you click on the number of dining credits used, it shows that it is only included on the premium and platinum plans. I know because I was surprised when I thought it looked as if it was on the DDP but then I checked and was disappointed.
