I love Toys R Us!!! Great Birthday Surprise

I love Toys R Us and this past weekend made it even brighter!!!! And its a prefect topic for the Budget Board because it was all FREE!!! My DD7 recived a card from TRU a few weeks ago that said to come in on or near her birthday for a special surprise - so on Saturday her and I went - she took her card up to the CS desk and they gave her a Happy Birthday Balloon, A birthday Crown, and a little gift and a $3off Coupon. Plus she then had her name annouced in the store as we were there "We have a special quest in our Toys R Us Today Elizabeth is turning 7 years old today make sure to wish her a Happy birthday when you see her" EVERYONE in the store (employees & other customers) went out of thier way to tell her Happy Birthday.... The Employees were WONDERFUL!!!! I was able to stack coupons at the check out too and got her gift for 1/2 price!!! It was amazing!!!! I was so happy and TRU really went out of there way!!! THANK YOU TRU!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! Birthday Magic for $0!!!!

We have done that in the past also. The best time was when we took the card to the NYC store and the kids got free ferris wheel rides, balloons and the "king" of TRU walked them around the store. It was really neat.

Its really nice of TRU I think... my daughter had a blast... HOW FUN IS THAT!!!! We live in little ole Iowa but it was still a fantastic expereince...

Our store does this as well. They even used to have a special Happy Birthday shopping cart but I haven't seen it since they redid our store. My oldest DD used to love pushing it.
