It's our 30th wedding anniversary. DW wants to go back to DisneyWorld. We rented points and have reservations for 12/9 - 12/13/12, BWV Studio, pool/garden view. Been to Disneyworld many times over the years. I am familiar with all of the great restaurants, but I'd like to do something really special for my wife, aside from a romantic dinner.

I've been lurking for awhile, so I know that you guys can come up with some creative suggestions.

I'm flexible; DW loves gardening, art and all things Disney.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Jerry

A nice massage at Grand Floridian or Saratoga Springs would be nice... or one of the Disney Tours they offer.
I just got my husband the Wild Africa Trek tour in Animal Kingdom for our 2nd wedding anniversary.

Would she like a tour of one of the parks? I think that would be lots of fun! Especially the VIP tour. :goodvibes

DW and I are celebrating our 30th at WDW/BLT this Oct. We have several nice meals reserved, including V&A's so that end is covered.

DW has requested to be allowed to chill and nap if she so chooses in the afternoons! So I'll be out touring by myself for a few afternoons - cool - a win/win at 30 years married!

Great idea. Massage with a tour.
Thanks you

It seems to get easier the longer you are married. Have a brew for me while she naps. I think I'm going on some tours!
Congrats on your 30th.

First of all congrats. Also, I love the title of your post-lucky wife! If she likes gardening, Living With the Land has a behind the scene tour. We really enjoyed it (Both of my grandfathers were farmers/ranchers and one of hubby's was so we have an interest infarming/ crops/gardening) We ate at Coral Reef on our anniversary next to the aquarium and loved it. If you do plan that restaurant ask to be seated by the aquarium. I thought it was better than Le Cellier. Fort Wilderness also has carriage rides. They do fill up in advance so check on that early. Another cool thing is to buy the Mr. and Mrs. pins to wear ,and if you really want to get into it purchase the bride and groom hats to wear. Just a few ideas! Have fun. Oh yeah, wear your anniversary button from your resort. You will get lots of congrats.

We are staying at BCV pretty much the same dates as you! I know you can book a private photographer at BC, which could be something special to mark your anniversary and trip.

I also recommend a special tour. What about a MK fireworks cruise? They have smaller size boats that go out and you can have champagne etc.

Congrats. Check out the Disney Florist website. They have a package called A Mickey and Minnie Congratulations. I ordered two bottles of Fairy Tale Cuvee. DH at first thought it was from Disney. He was very surprised to see this item. The Disney florist did a fantastic job. It will run you about $150, but it will be a great surprise for your DW. This basket also included candies and two beautiful Mickey champagne glasses. At the end of our trip, I was able to get lots of tissue paper from the gift shop to wrap the glasses for the trip home. We were actually able to bring home one bottle of champagne. If you know you are going to do something like this in advance, you can bring items will you to wrap the champagne in (lots of plastic bags and a couple of beach toewls-no problem).

The Disney Florist has a lot of great items. I hope you have a wonderful anniversary celebration. You will be there at a beautiful time.

How about a carriage ride at POR? We were booked for one on our honeymoon but got rained out from it. :sad1: I'm not sure if it's really bumpy or anything, but it sounds really romantic. Or maybe go up in the hot air balloon at Downtown Disney? Both DH and I are kind of scared of heights so we wouldn't go for that, but it sounds like it'd be memorable!

If you're staying at BWV, then check out the Mandara spa at Swan/Dolphin for the massage. It's a gorgeous, upscale spa and she can walk there from your resort!

DH and I did the carriage ride at POR a few years ago. It was very romantic and relaxing - not bumpy at all. It's not too pricey either. Congratulations on your anniversary!:goodvibes

Congratulations on your 30th anniversary!! We also will be celebrating our 30th anniversary Aug. 7 at our "summer home" Beach Club. We have the Backstage tour booked my husband's dream along with several other tours. We have wishes cruise booked. I have the Richard Petty Experience booked my dream. I know it is usually the husband excited over Richard Petty but.... we have 38 days and we just can't wait. We were very fortunate to get V&A Chef table for our actual anniversary date. With the title of your post I have a feeling what ever you do will make her extremely happy. I hope you trip is full of magic and ya'll have another 30 years of happily ever after!!

Thanks for the suggestions. The carriage ride sounds like fun. My wife would never expect me to plan something like that. I'll look into the tour also.
The pins and hats...I don't know...she would love it but I'm a bit more conservative than her.

Carriage ride sounds great. Hot air balloon... my wife would kill me. Now that would be memorable.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Will do. That would be more convenient than the GF.
Thanks.
