These things are the bomb! If you don't have any, take the plunge and try them. I highly recommend them.

I bought some flameless candles at Target's half price clearance the day after Christmas. I've never had flameless candles before although I did buy and give them as gifts. In fact, I gave away the two sets of votives I bought at Target that day.

I kept two 3-inch wide columns, one in burgundy and the other ivory. They are just the coolest things ever! They look so real and smell really nice too. :)

I must get more! I went back to Target later that week, but they were sold out by the time I got back.

Is there a particular brand name that you bought? These sound interesting. I have a cat. A curious cat. I do not want her to go up in flames. I haven't lit any candles in, I don't know how long. :( I used to love candles.

How do they smell nice? Are you supposed to sprinkle on scented oil or something?

sounds instresting. I have a dumb male cat. He sniffed a candle and burned his wiskers. Then while visiting a family freind (cause he didnt learn) he sniffed again and burned a good deal of his fur off his face.

I bought a set from QVC for my MIL last year. They are beautiful, but the price was pretty high. I've seen them at CVS where they cost a lot less, but I thought they looked cheesy.

The ones I am loving now were from Target and seemed to be one of their house brands. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them there in the future, and if I could catch them on sale, all the better.

The ivory candle I have is vanilla scented, and the burgundy is mandarin spice. I like the ivory one better because it's brighter and is more season-neutral. These candles take 4 AA batteries a piece. I've had them lit quite a bit since I got them home on 12/26, and so far, I'm on the same set of batteries.

The votives I bought and gave to my friends came with some odd type of battery, so I'd rather have these bigger ones for that reason. However, I can see where you could do some nice decorating with the votives. You could place them in a centerpiece, for example, and not worry about setting anything on fire.

ETA: The candles come scented. They put the scent right into the wax they're made of. That's why they look so cool. They're made out of real wax and hollowed-out in the center where the LED lights are, so the "candle glow" comes from inside the wax.

I went to a party and saw some flameless candles and they were great! They smelled good too! I have seen them on QVC and other places and have thought about getting them....I still want to. It was very very difficult to tell that they were not the real thing.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely have to look into these. :cool1:

Janice, stock up on some rechargable AA batteries. I have Duracells & they recharge in about 30-40 minutes. :thumbsup2

I have ones I bought on QVC. I like the ones that are on timers!:thumbsup2

I had planned to pick up some of those at our Target too but they sold out before I got there. I ordered a set of three from Target.com for $35.99 that came with a remote instead. They cost a little more than the after Christmas clearance and I don't think they're scented but they're cat-safe & I like the idea of a remote to turn them off easily if I use them in arrangements later. Now, if they'd only get here, I could tell you how great they are...

Those who have the QVC candles, did you get the Ivory colored ones? Are they a real "Ivory"? Several reviews say they are more yellow than a creamy ivory color.

One of the reviews for the Target remote control candles says his TV remote control turns his candles on & off. :lmao: I guess it's good to know that if the candle remote breaks, you can buy a cheap universal TV remote, instead. :thumbsup2

We have one of the Scentsy ones at our house. The wax seems much more concentrated so the scent lasts much longer. They are sole by consultants, kind of like Tupperware. You can find a consultant online too.

:lmao: You could have a lot of fun with that if no one else knows!

Does the scent last? (Has this been asked/answered?)

I also love my flameless candles. I bought a 3 pack at Costco before Christmas in ivory and love them. They took 2 C batteries and I can set them on a timer. So I turned them on at 5pm and they go off at 10 pm. They look great on my buffet. I also have some from QVC that have snowflakes on them, they are on a bookshelf in my family room. Both sets flicker which I love.

The only real candle I ever burn is on my stove.

Do I Google Scentsy to find a consultant? Do you have a link?

I don't think anyone on this thread yet, has had them long enough to know.

I'm wondering how to clean them? :confused3 Regular candles, I need to swipe them down with an old knee-hi pantyhose. I'm wondering if this would simply rub off too much of the wax over time.

I live in the sootiest city. I was thinking about getting the "Indoor/outdoor" flameless candles at QVC. They are made of a resin instead of wax and can be left outside. (And I suppose easily washed.) But, they may look too cheap. Also, some reviewers said the "Ivory" was really a lemon yellow color. :p

Here's the site. There is a find a consultant link at the top right. We have a woman in my neighborhood that sells and hosts parties and stuff. I just went to her house to buy stuff because I hate going to home parties myself.

I found some really nice ones at Kohls. I will look at the name when I get home. I love them. I bought 4 and planned to give them to my mom, but I am keeping 2. They are made with real wax and smell so good. they are LED and it says the batteries last hundreds of hours. I found them on clearance so they were just $6, normally like $18. I wish I would have bought a few more.
I will post the name tonight. they also had a website.
I saw the ones at Target too but was glad I waited and got these.

At Christmas I saturated my dining room with them...we had a Victorian tree decorated in golds and the yellow light of the candles just made the room so warm. I used about 20 in a variety of holders all over the room BE CAREFUL do not get the kind with the bluish light they are just obnoxious. I also got some votive ones at BJ's marked down and those are rechargeable.

I have 4 sets of the Costco ones. We got one set last year for 19 and then they marked them down to 9.97 so I got 3 more sets. Chrismas Tree Shop(if you live on the East Coasts) had the same ones as Costco and sold them singly but in two sizes They were only 2.99 and 1.99 each. EVERYONE who sees them has no idea they are fakes. I also got the fake tea lights at Costco 28 plus 28 spare batteries. These are great in votive holders. All in all between my dining room, living room, kitchen, on the windows and in the bathroom I bet I had over 50 different types going. I LOVE THEM!

The candles I got are mainly about the look of candle-burning glow. They don't emit any noticeable amount of fragrance in the way that burning a White Barn or Yankee candle would. You catch a whiff of the scent the way you would from an unburnt candle. Those Scentsy products look very nice, but it sounds like they're all about the scent and not candle light.

Imzadi, I've dusted my candles with a Swiffer duster, and that seems fine.

I'm kicking myself now for not buying them when I saw them at Costco. I paid $6.50 for each of my candles and that was half the regular price. I'll be looking in Christmas Tree Shoppes for sure, Bella! :)

I can't comment about the ivory color complaints on the QVC reviews. Were they talking about Candle Impressions brand? Last year, I bought my MIL a set of that brand. I don't see the set I bought listed anymore, but they were white anyway. The set was three 3-inch wide round columns in varying heights that were embossed with sky blue metallic ribbons and silver snowflakes. They were beautiful, but cost over $40 with shipping. Obviously, you can do better by shopping around. :)

Thank you!
I normally buy Gold Canyon candles, or Yankee Candles, because their scents fill my whole house. It is more about scent than look for me. Are these just as strong as those candles?
