I love it when a plan comes together!

Thought I was going to have to drive again (just back- drove straight through 23 hrs ). Found airfare from Indianapolis for $108 round trip. My DH practically pushed me out of the way so he could book it. Now I will only have to drive 3 hours. I could not find airfare from South Bend for less than $320 or from Chicago for less than $200. I have been looking off and on since signing up for the convention.
Now we can add an extra day so we will be arriving on the 26th. Have my paper and pencil type plan drawn up. Having hard time finding a pencil with an eraser left. Had to break into the school supplies. Lol
Now to find the best transportation from the airport. Is renting a car cheaper than Mears or Tiffany Town cars?

Congrats on the GREAT airfare! A full-size rental car from National for a week - using a Disney Club 20% discount code and a $15 coupon - will cost about $125 - give or take a few bucks. Tiffany Towncar is about $85 RT for up to 5 people, I believe. Mears is $27 RT per adult and less per child.

Renting a car is not cheaper than Mears, that's for sure. I think Tiffany runs around $100 with tip round trip. I'm renting a car for the week through National, and it's running me around $140.

Sounds like the best thing for me would be to rent a car. Not that much difference in price and then I will be able to run over to the outlet mall if I can work it in my schedule. Hmmmmm....if I erase over here and move this around....... now where did I put that pencil down at?

The only way to know for sure what a rental car will cost is to go to www.nationalcar.com or another rental car agency, and plug in your travel dates and any discount codes you have.

Thanks for all the info. on rental cars NancyIL.....we might go that route...haven't decided yet.
