I love them with butter or cheese or bacon but I REALLY love them with white sausage gravy and SHRIMP! There's a diner in Charleston that serves them this way and they are sooooooooooooo good.

Can't stand oatmeal or cream of wheat, but love grits with butter and salt. I'm originally from NJ, but learned to like them many years ago, just after moving to NC. It was one Friday night about 2am at Billy's Ham and Eggs. Being slightly tipsy after a night of partying at the Sheraton, I was just brave enough to try them.
