:teeth: That is burned into my memory forever, it is my most favorite Disney memory.

We had taken my oldest DS to Disney a month shy of his 3rd birthday. It was my 3rd trip, and my Dh's 2nd trip. It was our 1st trip with a toddler. So, we did not realize 2.95 year olds really are not into Commando Disney.

We get into MCO late morning, as usual. Check into the hotel, and off we go to Epcot. (always the travel day park). My Ds seemed to really be enjoying himself, not too much to do at Epcot for a little guy, but he enjoyed the water shooting up all over the place, ect. we went back to the hotel for a nap and a swim in the pool, and headed back out to Epcot for Illuminations. I had the video camera, and I was just thrilled to have been able to take our little guy to Disney for the 1st time. I had been waiting for him to be old enough. He is on my DH's shoulder, the fireworks are about to start, I have to video on him to capture his 1st Magical Moment at WDW, and ...... the fireworks scare him, he looks down at me, starts crying and says he wants to "go home now"

:faint:

I wanted to cry. I waited years for this moment and he wants to go home????? We take him back to the hotel, put him to bed, and I am just so depressed. I don't know why I expected a 2 yo to get it, after dragging his butt around all day. He was tired, and just wanted his house.

The next day, we went to Magic Kingdom. We slowed down our pace tremendously, and DS found the magic. We went back to the hotel mid afternoon, and while we were trying to decide what to do for lunch, my DS was jumping on the bed (shhhh, no flames) singing the ABC song. He had on a baseball hat and cool-dude shades, he was hysterical. I started video taping him, and I asked him if he was having fun....

He never lost a beat, he kept jumping and he yelled out, "I LOVE DISNEY! AND I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME ANYMORE!!!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was the cutest thing! I was so very happy, we had created a Disneyfan Jr after all! :cheer2:

Whenever I think of Disney, I always, always remember that, and it puts a smile on my face.

What is your MOST memorable moment in WDW?

I am so glad you all had a great trip at WDW. Whenever I hear of anyone having a great time at Disney, it always puts a smile on my face.

As for my favorite WDW memory, it would have to be getting in early for breakfast at either Crystal palace or Cinderella's and walking down an almost empty main street---only in WDW (sigh).

I also loved watching my DS who was only 15 months old at the time, giggle and laugh and play in the shooting fountains that were near Mission Space in Epcot--we were waiting for the rest of the family to go on a ride, and he was all by himself with me watching. I had never seen him so happy! I wish I had that one on video.... :teeth:

The "magic" that small children experience is the greatest. We made a day trip to MK yesterday, and when we were getting ready to leave, DS4 asked if instead of going home we could check into a resort FOREVER! :rotfl:

I must say, the idea sounded good to me too. :teeth:

I ask myself that question every trip! One can dream! :teeth:
