EIN for sole prop doesn't seem to make a difference. Other business structures like LLC seem to get past the pop-up.

Setting up a LLC just so I can get an Ink card seems like too much work considering they just keep changing the rules. I guess I'm done with the Inks for now.

Frankly, I'm not thrilled with ANY of my Chase cards at this point.

It looks like Chase canceled the 1.5x on all travel; now it's only the bonus travel. I bet the Chase Sapphire is next. I really wonder what Bilt will have in store besides Hyatt. I don't know why I am holding onto Chase cards.

Are you talking about the Sapphire changes made based on UR earned before/after 10/26/25, where only points from before that date are eligible for 1.5x redemption rate in the travel portal?

Or has there been a subsequent update after that?

Yeah, there's no way, especially not in California. LLC costs $800/year here!

I hope eventually it'll loosen up, but who knows.

What would be the best company to rent a car from in Oahu if we intend to rent at the airport and then return in Waikiki? We’re planning on spending the first 3 nights at Aulani (on points so no parking fee) and then 3 nights in Waikiki (no car since parking is ridiculous).

no im talking about the redemptions its all over the place now I hardly used it before but in some cases it seems like less than a penny. I was seeing 1.5x now no matter what now it seems to be 1:1 or less. I think im going to cancel my CSR come january im not 100% sure yet. but im 90%

Well to add to the Chase complaints. The CIU I had to call recon 3 times (HUCA) to get approved, only came w/ a $3k limit. I put my daughter's tuition on it, which I was planning on carrying for awhile. I SM'd to see if I could get a credit increase. They basically asked for a dissertation of information, which I already gave them for the 3 recon calls. They wanted to know basically my balance sheet for the last 3 years, employees, etc. So I just messaged back and asked them if they can just move $2k from my CIC to my CIU.....I had 4 Inks 3 months ago w/ $5-6k limits on each. Now I'm pulling teeth to get $5k on 2. UGH.

I'm going to rant blame all the damn travel blogs/influencers/groups. For so long they thought you could only hold 1 of each card. Then they realized it wasn't true. And everyone and their brother was getting 12 Inks a year! I played the game too, but not on the level some were churning the cards. Now the 1-2 Inks I did a year will be impossible......like others have said, this game is going to rapidly be harder and harder to play!

I guess it's a good thing I have "free" flights and cheap Hilton hotels, LOL.

I was seeing 1.5x now no matter what now it seems to be 1:1 or less.

Did you put things in your cart and proceed to check out? It's currently showing 1x on the initial page but then in the cart you can see the 1.5x, assuming you still have points that qualify for the 1.5. It's annoying for sure but you do get your 1.5 redemption when you get through it.

I find using Delta GC for the Platinum credit on my 2 cards is very easy to use and these GC are perfect for that. They are egift too so no shipping fees.

I had it on one account last night and didn't go for it immediately, and then it was gone this morning when I looked. If you think you're going to use it and it shows up, I would not wait on it!

I don't like this. Checking out some hotels on the Chase portal. See a lot of boosted hotels for 2cpp. That's good. But non boosted hotels show as 1cpp not 1.5cpp (for my URs pre 10/26). You have to add to the cart and then it shows you the 1.5cpp UR price. Be aware as you are comparing costs.

Sometimes you need to go all the way to almost booking to see if it is 1.5cpp. If you still have URs on your CSR from before Oct, it will give you that.

Our renewal is Nov 1 but we’ll likely be at WDW Labor Day weekend which is just after our 60 day window opens. I should probably double check on the AP thread.

I posted in the huge AP/ticket thread on the theme parks board. I think it should work I just want to confirm details. Also, man regular ticket prices are crazy! I’m looking at 3-4 day base tickets (depending on date) for the 2 of us which will hit the $1000 mark. We do the sorcerer AP (dvc) and definitive get our moneys worth.

I also have a sorcerer but was possibly letting the renewal lapse, but if I could get this deal I wouldnt.

DP: This year we went a little lower key on churning. Used our CSR a lot this year in the absence of an MSR. I think I saw our spending was over 20k, which I was surprised by. Anyway, the higher annual fee posted on Nov 1, so we just missed the cut off. Called about a retention offer and there wasn't one for us. Very disappointing to have missed the lower fee by just a few days and not get a retention offer on high spending (for us).

I've found good value with points boost and EDIT and next year I think I have some good plans for using the EDIT credits and the special hotel credit as well, so we'll keep it open for another year.
