Solo flight question/advice please...

Since I am traveling alone to Japan, I am wondering what the best way is to care for my personal items in my seat when I need to use the restroom. (My concern being possible theft while I am gone.)

Anyone have any good tips for me? It's not something I've ever had to think about before!
On our most recent flights last month (JFK>SIN, HND>SFO), no one even appears to notice or budge when someone gets up. I saw plenty of solo travelers just leave their things, without a care in the world. Interestingly, however, JAL did make an announcement about theft of personal belongings, so it does happen of course.
If it were me, I typically take a fanny pack in addition to a backpack on every trip. In my fanny pack, I always keep my most important items: wallet/cash, passport, phone, air pods. Even when I'm traveling with my DH, I typically will wear my fanny pack to the bathroom in the airport, etc. So that's what I'd do, if it were me.
My fanny pack with the above items is always with me. Other than that, I leave everything at my seat when I get up. Today I took the Eurostar from Paris —> London and left my iPad open at my seat while I used the facilities.

I’m at the Hyatt Regency Churchill currently. Thanks to a very generous member, dd and I were gifted GoH and were upgraded to a Regency Suite. It’s lovely and spacious with a walk-in closet (full review when I get home next week). Room wasn’t ready when dd arrived, so she had a shower in the executive lounge, which was a nice treat to have available. Love the location a short walk from the Bond St station (a stop on the Lizzie line). I took the tube here from St Pancras King’s Cross; didn’t love the stairs between lines and stairs up from the Marble Arch station, but it was faster than taking a taxi so I dealt with it. Probably wouldn’t recommend the tube (from the international train station) for anyone with disabilities or anything more than a carry-on.

Hey there Dischurners! It's been quite a while since I've posted here, but I have been reading through often. DH is up in our rotation to app for SW cards for CP. He's 0/24, has no open SW cards, and no bonus within 24 months. Thinking of doing 1 personal and 1 biz card for him. Any thoughts on timing for apps? Is it still ok for me to do both apps today? I'd appreciate any insight you guys can offer. Haven't been keeping up with some of the recent SW changes since I earned CP for 2024/2025, so I'm a little out of the loop.

I’d do the business card first, then wait a week or so and apply for the personal.
Check his credit limits with Chase on both business and personal cards to make sure they are below 50% of household income or $75k ish.

:offtopic: But since we are all here to save $…this may work for anyone who has Verizon mobile….DOC has posted about Verizon offering loyalty credits, recently he posted about it and the port a line trick didn’t work for me. So I decided to use the chat to ask about it. Was offered $20 off 5 lines for a year as a loyalty discount.

Were you actually charged for an amount more than the taxes/fees? Did you get the points from the price drop?
So no I wasn't charged, (bc they always ask for cvv if using the cc) it just shows as charged. All of this to say I'm finding actually using Jetblue pretty confusing, and learning to appreciate the ease of SWA for the past years.....
Also looking forward to seeing the JB terminal at MCO but the hassles of booking etc have been quite a lot. My DSis had to figure out the 'non lap child' baby seat issue (solution- she had to call multiple times, turns out they don't have a process to buy a baby a seat - so she ended up booking 2 seats for her own self, and one notated for baby seat or some nonsense).... this seems insane, she can't be the only parent buying their baby a seat! Or is it just booking those on points that's the problem?
AAAAANNNDD I rebooked my flight and now I see it's the wrong time (I must have been in a rush?) So I purchased the correct one again, and now I can't cancel it bc it had a change so I have to call or chat to do this? OMG....... I may go back to SWA after all.

Since JB started flying ISP-MCO, I also learned about JB only allowing 1 change online. So now I cancel and rebook which also is a pain if the people in your travel party aren’t part of your”points pool” since you have to reenter all their information.
I find booking SW so much easier with their frequent travelers feature.
But I do pick who we are flying based on their flight times…usually we are flying JB to MCO and SW home since the JB flights home usually depart 6am-7am…No thank you.

Don't you hate it when you end up using the wrong card LOL? I bought tickets last night and paid with Paypal. I have my new card with the MSR that I need to meet, as my preferred payment method, but for some reason it has Ticketmaster set to use the card that has the MSR done :-(. So annoying.
