I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

DCL is not following their "normal" pricing history. Sailings aren't coming up in price as quickly after opening day, tons of deals are dropping even before paid in full. They aren't selling like they used to and what you're seeing is a reflection of that.
They're building a lot of ships really fast! Growing pains, I suppose. But good for consumers!

Super bummed that none of my cards have the offer. I order from Chewy more than any other merchant.
I have one Chewy total, throughout all of my cards. for $5. That is really sad. I spend hundreds at Chewy each month, and could really really use that. I don't think it's worth it for $5 on one card.

ok, I just wanted to be sure tbh this is the only time we slacked on day one reservations for our status, and I thought it was strange, which made it easier to book.

dont feel too bad I have 7 cards didnt get it on any of them.

Just got the Hilton Aspire, is there any risk of clawback on either the resort credit or airline credit if I make refundable charges and then cancel them?

Yes, I know the official terms and conditions.

YES. Amex is well known for clawbacks.

I think the easiest way to store up the airline credit is United Travelbank. Do not choose the gift option as that no longer works.

The resort credit is tricker. What option were you thinking? Without an upcoming stay this year, you can contact a future stay hotel to prepay or book a nonrefundable stay outside the US. Within the US doesn't work because the charge will come from corporate. A Las Vegas stay may work, I've heard they precharge the deposit (you'll want to check Flyertalk DPs).

Do you have firsthand knowledge with this card in particular? Everything I've read on reddit and other forums say that people have not seen clawbacks on Aspire.

No firsthand knowledge, just a generalization of Amex behavior. Even if others haven't been clawed back, I think the risk is there.

The Chewy offer ended yesterday and then started again today. I still haven't received my $10 from Nov 20's order.

That said, I've now got 9 offers and won't use any if I don't get paid on my previous offer. New offer goes to end of December.

My offers are all $10. I've been a Chewy customer for years but have definitely slacked off with them as I get better deals by watching closely for Petsmart, and grocery offers.

my dog has prescription food thats $147 a bag, that I can only get there, and takes nice expensive meds that I order from there, joy LOL.

@Nala83

My CSP hotel credit (if booked through Chase using combo of UR's and cash) of $50 posted alongside my $51 charge today. Appears to be an instant credit for me for 3 years running.
I don't understand why mine didn't. I looked back through all of my statements for this anniversary year and I haven't used it.

Oh well, I got the room refunded. I'll make my new reservation and hope for the best! Thanks for the DP.

Resy question for those in the know...

I recently ate at a restaurant in SLC and was pleasantly surprised that the cost of the meal got credited back to my Amex (gold, if that matters) under "Resy credit." That's cool and all (no complaints from me!) but when I go to the Resy website and search for SLC restaurants, the place we ate is not on the list.

Is there an accurate list of Resy restaurants somewhere (so that I can make better use of this card in future)?

I booked a refundable rate for Hilton Bonnet Creek using the credit from the first half of 2025 in June, booked for September and canceled in August, received refund and it was not clawed back.
I had used the flight credit for upgrading seats to main cabin extra and had to cancel the flight a couple weeks ago (wasn’t planning to cancel but P2 has some unexpected health issues so had to cancel our Kimpton Seafire trip 🥲), so far the refund has not been clawed back.

I had shared a few months ago that I was able to book Biz on JAL via KLM for September next year, ORD to HND. I finally booked our return yesterday after searching for weeks and hoping I could at least score PE on the way back. I had been searching HND to ORD and JFK and even the west coast (we're in Ohio) knowing I'd have to reposition. Well, on a whim I decided to check Osaka to CLE (on the AA website) and low and behold there were 4 Biz seats available for 60K points each! The flight is KIX -> HND -> ORD -> CLE, so a total of 3 flights. But, we would have had to take the train from KIX to HND anyway since we plan to end our trip in Osaka, this way we can check our luggage all the way through (I know we'll have to get it in Chicago and recheck).

I had enough AA miles to book 2 of them with 35K miles left. AA was having a buy miles deal (ends today) so for just over $2200 I purchased 85K more miles and was able to book the other 2 tickets. From my limited research it seems like a one way flight from Japan in economy is roughly $1000 - give or take so although it kind of freaked me out to purchase that amount of miles, I think all in all we got a pretty good deal! Oh, I had put all 4 on a 24 hour hold while we decided on purchasing those miles.

All this to say, don't discount purchasing miles if it makes sense and you know you can get the flight you want (put on hold), and check other airports! I was shocked to be able to book all the way to CLE on one ticket! That portion is on AA while the other 2 flights are on JAL.

This is a college graduation gift for my DD, she graduates in May. At first it was going to be just the 2 of us, but now DH and DD's boyfriend are also going. I think I will have created a monster after she experiences JAL Biz class! She's used to sitting in 37B on Frontier lol!

Now to start working on lodging...
