I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Yes I agree and the insurance protections are pretty good and can be used for personal travel as opposed to the business card that has the same fee that only covers you for business related travel.

Just saw from your original post about referring P2 that certainly would be an option sub is 75K CUR points right now.
plus the 10k or whatever the bonus is for a referral right now. but I'm 99% sure I won't get DH on-board with that since that would be a 3rd card with an AF, and there's no big upcoming travel plans that aren't already covered.

Yes but as long as you have one card that can transfer you could downgrade the other or cancel it.

How much time before your next AF posts? it might not be enough time to do it and get the referral points.

are you qualifying for the bonus? I saw somewhere maybe doc that they are going to stop bonus for the free ink line if you have already received one.

I used the app link page with 90k bonus and it went thru...I also just rechecked- can't find any NLL on the app page info- plus I went thru my existing login.....
The CIP is not a FREE Ink, there is an AF, maybe that is a difference?

well that sucks. i figured though. it's been a huge PITA to shuffle cards between accounts (we have multiple logins so we could refer eachother for some stuff) but I honestly think that we should keep the card because of the benefit with the travel partners.
We always keep a CSP active (either my husband or I), as it's a net $45 annual fee card, which is worth it to us to have the ability to transfer to Hyatt and other partners whenever needed. It includes a $50 hotel credit every year (which you can use on a refundable hotel, and then cancel the hotel after credit posts), so $95 - 50 = $45.

I use this strategy too, for the CSP and United Explorer hotel credits. But there are DPs that Chase is clawing back the CSR Edit credit. So at some point, this might not work anymore.

Chase is becoming more like Amex.

Speaking of credit claw backs, I'm surprised that my Lululemon return a month ago hasn't caused Amex to take the $75 credit back. I wonder if it's because it's new and I'll get hit with $75 charge sometime next year (that happened once with a Dell credit)

My best use of the Amex FHR credit so far was a 1 night stay at Portofino Bay at Universal. Room was about $500, which brought it to $300 after the credit. Staying at Portofino gets you the Express Pass at Universal Studios and IOA for everyone on the reservation for the length of your stay. With a one-night stay we had the express pass for both check-in and check-out day, which for 2 of us was worth about $600. The terms said we got a $100 hotel credit and free breakfast, but I think the breakfast worked as a set $ credit behind the scenes as well, because I know we spent more than $100 on dinner, yet the cost of dinner and breakfast were both zero'd out. At check-out, the only amount on the bill was the parking charge.
Wow. I may be rethinking the whole second half of my April stay. Although I told DH he could stay at the resort and work the last half of the trip if we extended it after our cruise. But he could be enticed by Universal… so do you get express pass for the entire party staying in the room?

I called to close my Barclays Red Aviator card since the AF was due and I don't want it to turn over to Citi and restart my clock for Citi AAdvantage cards/contribute to 5/24. I asked them to transfer the CL to my Hawaiian card, so now that one has a ridiculous CL of ~$50K lol

Yes, but the room rate will be higher if you have more than 2 people. We've done this with our parents even though they weren't really staying with us, but it was still worth it for them to get the EP (would have cost more for them to buy it separately).

Okay could still be worth it going to crunch the numbers and see what happens. DVC makes me go to the parks more and now my credit card credits are making me go places. The money I spend to “save” money 🤣
