Received my chase 1099 today…hopefully everyone else received theirs too.
I see 2 envelopes for each of us in my informed delivery email. Mail comes quite late here so I’m very curiousReceived my chase 1099 today…hopefully everyone else received theirs too.
We enjoy Princess cruises. We love Disney cruises, but our kiddos have aged out of them at this point. Last summer we did Barcelona to Rome on the Sun Princess. That cruise went on to Greece (we weren't on it though). A lot of people were doing Barcelona to Athens (14 days). Check them out!Thinking about a Greek Isle cruise next summer with DD (then fly to Paris for a few days). Want to use Chase points. We have only ever cruised DCL (seven times) and smoke and casinos definitely aren't our thing. Any recommendations for a cruise line? I'm thinking of looking at RCI.
Both flights are with KLM (booked through Virgin Atlantic). They said they can't do anything. I did find a KLM flight that leaves AMS like 4 hours later but they would not be able to just cancel part of the flight, so I can book that one. (and then we would have to get our luggage and go through customs - compared to if they could just change the flight). We cannot pack in just a carryon - I can't even do that for a 3 day trip to Disney (LOL). I am just going to have to keep an eye on it and I hopefully get lucky. I know many times from MSP to MCO it says it is a 3 hour flight but seem to land 30 minutes early - hoping that is the case for this flight..While the guidelines indicate that 50 mins is enough to clear passport control and get to your next gate, if you land at the same time as a few other international flights then there could be lengthy queues. If it were me I’d call Virgin Atlantic and ask what they can do to afford you and your family more time to clear customs. They should have the ability to open seats on their metal, if your connection is on another airline then it becomes a bit more difficult for them. If you don’t check luggage, you could book seats on a cheap European airline as backup if you were to miss the connection.
Not any better luck. They were nice enough but said nothing they can do since it is within their guidelines. My experience with VA customer service was dreadful. They honeslty were extremely incompetent. Hopefully @LynnTH has better luck. But I agree, 50 minutes would stress me out.
I did read about a separate line for those with close connections. We land there at about 6 AM. Not sure how busy they are at that time...I agree with @*WDW*Groupie* above...I wasn't going to correct your terminology because I didn't realize you were going to call VA...but Customs is what everyone walks past in the airport when they exit if they have "nothing to declare" (ie LOTS of cash or goods), whereas Passport Control/Immigration is where you stand in a long queue and have your passport examined--and yes, you will do that arriving in a Schengen country and progressing to another. In AMS, it can be quite long (as previously mentioned) and 50 minutes will be tight. You can ask to be allowed to go to the front for a close connection but whether that occurs or not is of course, variable (or there even might be a separate line for close connections). VA is a codeshare with KLM so that might help if things go sideways (hopefully not!).
Nice and it’s showing up in support links tooRegarding my post above about not having a CP, I think I might just do something crazy and apply for the new SUB that includes the CP until 2/28/26.
We have SW flights next month, trying to take a trip in April and have flights in May.
And then maybe later in the year apply for a SW Business card to earn the CP through the end of 2026?
I know not many do swagbucks any more but a few still dabble, this isn't exciting enough to bring the thread back from the dead. I wanted to share though since it may work on other games. I may try another after this one.
I wanted to do the slots game that you can get stuff to use in Vegas, going at the end of the month, don't gamble. I looked on sb and they had an offer for it if you were new, which I wasn't I'd done it years ago for sb probably before covid. But I figured I'd go through their link anyway.
So far it's tracking and they have a goal tracker now and are sending emails when you hit one, this is new from the last time I did a game, probably during covid. I started on level 27 which is the first goal so it didn't track but the install, a purchase and the next level goal have.
You may get another one….a few years ago I got a second one a month or so after the first and had to file an amended returnGot our Chase 1099's. 5 business supports at 400 each, and I had forgotten about the 300 GC they gave him for opening a Marriott Boundless card, but nothing for the 100 support for a CSP. Do they treat personal and business supports separately for the 600 cutoff? or should I expect another envelope I wonder.
I did a mix of 2 nights via THC and AP rates last Fall at Dolphin. I was upgraded to a resort view, my request was to be near the elevators and it was also granted. That said, even when I’ve booked only on AP rates I tend to get a small upgrade at Dolphin. I think I had a slight view of the boat dock on that THC/AP combo trip. The $100 credit was easy, it just posted right to the account. And I stayed in the same room while time, just swung by the front desk to re-code the keys.Hey folks, I was out of the game for some time and forgot about this thread but got back into it for 2025 since I was looking at refreshing my lineup after getting a CSR last year.
I got a targeted offer last month for an Amex Plat, 100k, which I decided to take—doing the math it actually works out for me having both, as I can get outsized value out of the credits. I’ve been an UR girlie for years so this is my first foray into MR points and Amex Travel. I’ve never bothered booking through the Chase portal, just transferring pts to partners, because I never found it to be worth it. But I saw Swolphin is part of their Hotel Collection. I have the Swan booked for Labor Day weekend on an AP discount but after doing some napkin math determined I would come out slightly ahead with Amex between the hotel credit and the resort credit. I was wondering if anyone had any recent DPs regarding upgrades there when booked through Amex. I know Bonvoy status never really gets you any there but I’m curious.
for Hilton? Can I just say how much I dislike FNC now that the ink train isn’t coming as often? We are trying to use two FNC in April, which normally wouldn’t be an issue because we’ve had 2 CP for the last 3 years, but we don’t have one and flights are expensive, weekend trips aren’t possible anymore.
yes, we have 2 Hilton FNC. It's mostly Chase and SW that's the problem.for Hilton?
I think this will change I was debating singing up for their cc once there was a better offer but now that they devalued the properties I was eyeing I'm holding back.
