I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

I know not many do swagbucks any more but a few still dabble, this isn't exciting enough to bring the thread back from the dead. I wanted to share though since it may work on other games. I may try another after this one.

I wanted to do the slots game that you can get stuff to use in Vegas, going at the end of the month, don't gamble. I looked on sb and they had an offer for it if you were new, which I wasn't I'd done it years ago for sb probably before covid. But I figured I'd go through their link anyway.

So far it's tracking and they have a goal tracker now and are sending emails when you hit one, this is new from the last time I did a game, probably during covid. I started on level 27 which is the first goal so it didn't track but the install, a purchase and the next level goal have.

Just applied for a Chase Ink Unlimited and finally approved! I was denied for a Chase Ink preferred a few months ago when they had the high bonus and denied for a CIU about a month ago. I had 3 inks then. I canceled one last month, so I was down to 2 when applying today. I also made a few credit lines decreases.

How long did you wait after cancelling to apply? I just cancelled one of mine and am down to 2 also, nor sure how long to wait to apply for a CIC. Thanks!

From what I’ve read those of us that apply within a couple of weeks are still getting denials. Seems like waiting minimum of 2 weeks before applying has greater success.

Nothing like each of us hitting our $1900 insurance deductibles and co-pays within the first month of the year. UGH. I have $900 left on my Cap 1 Venture X SUB. I have all the medical bills that will be coming. And I have property taxes coming up this month. I'm thinking of going for the IHG elevated offer. I'm at 3/24. Is there anything else I might want to look at instead? Getting another IHG card has been on my radar since I cancelled both my previous (Biz and Premier) last year. 170k seems like a decent offer. I'm just hesitant since I got denied the IHG Biz in the fall (too many biz cards I think).

I waited until the 14th day, so exactly two weeks.

Just back from a week at WDW. Did I miss anything exciting? We always buy LLMP/LLSP and used Standby Skipper this trip. I gotta say skipper worked amazingly well.
More info on skipper please

I went with just my mom in early December, DH had to work. Didn't buy any kinds of line-skipping service and that made a huge difference. we've been on everything many times so it was nice to just take things slow. We got up late, went a park and just strolled, snacked, and did rides if we the waits weren't too bad, otherwise skipped. Lots of character photos this time as my mom loves that. It was only a 4 day trip but it was so much more relaxing than usual when we bought G+ and felt like we needed to get a lot of use out of it. We've also been trying to experience the international parks some more since there's more newness to them for us.

Also, another nice way we've been getting Disney fixes without the hassle of the parks: Disney Cruise Line!
My kiddos are, sadly, aged way out of DCL! We'll go back when the grandkids are old enough to sail and enjoy themselves. We love DCL and I'm bummed that we have missed the new ships for a good number of years. :eeyore:

Another question for you world travelers. Going to Europe in May (Collette Tours). Booked my own airfare (on points of course) for the 6 of us. Flying from MSP to Vienna with a layover in Amsterdam. Originally the layover was 1 hour and 30 minutes. Now they changed the original flight and we only have 50 minutes. This is scaring me a bit. Do we have to go through customs or something when we land in Amsterdam?

Not sure if we can change flights - if so, the only other flight leaving Amsterdam to Vienna is 5 hours later. I messaged KLM and they said it was in the allotted time for transfers... HELP!!

Glad I looked also as they had changed planes and we didn't have seats (that we already paid for) and they wanted me to choose seats and pay again. Chatted with them and they got us seats pretty close to what we had originally.

Just chatted with Virgin Atlantic to see if they could change our AMS to VIE flight. They said they could not as they didn't show any open rewards seats right now and the 50 minutes is in the allotted time for transfers at that airport. He did say we would not go through customs. Our luggage would go straight through to VIE -we would only go through Passport Control.
@LynnTH - try not to stress about this (easier said than done, I know). You'll go through passport control, like others said. You will not have to pick up your luggage and go through customs since it's a layover. All of that said, 50 minutes is not a lot of time and AMS is LARGE. Think Disney power walking to get from one area to another. I've never gone through there that there weren't a bunch of people in line for passport control, but I have also NEVER missed my connecting flight when in AMS. They will hold that plane for their layover folks.
That said - AMS is beautiful to look at. They have a restaurant that is solely giant teacups for chairs. I've heard that the food is bad there, but it's beautiful to look at. They have cheeses, other foods and Stroopwaffle store that you'll likely want to stop and look at! If you can get a 2.5 hour layover - do that.
If you are looking at lower cost times of year, you can look at the calendar view for park tickets and you'll see the costs vary widely by time of year. That is where I would start. Mousesavers (if they are still around) has a great list of cheapest room rates.

Disney recently moving individual LL out to 7 days in advance really helped cut down on our need to be doing high stress stuff on our phones the morning of. I do think you could have an enjoyable limited cell experience this trip if you wanted to.
I'm not looking for lower costs (although that would be nice), but am looking for lower attendance. We can Disney any time of year now that my youngest has graduated HS - so we aren't forced to Disney during peak Disney attendance. With that new "freedom" I'd love to go when the crowds are low and the park is "slow".

Oh no!! I hope that you're well!
Deductibles suuuuuck. Mine is $7500/year per insured. The only year that I've ever hit it was my back surgery year. Hoping to not have to have another year like that, but it's looking like husband needs spinal surgery this year.

It worked great for us. $45 for 7 days. I booked my initials, and used some of them, and cancelled some others, and let Skipper book more. It got us Peter Pan, Slinky, Remy and Frozen (a few times), when they were already long gone for the day. Also got our VQ in the morning, the highest boarding group number we got the entire trip was 7. I wish I would have paid more attention and used it for our November trip last year also. Let me know if you have specific questions, and I will try to answer.
I have never heard of this. Is it 45 per person? Did you have a good time? We are going to Florida
for a wedding and whenever we are in state we always plan a WDW trip. For the first time my kids
are lukewarm to going saying it is too much work lol. I was contemplating overpaying Deluxe so they
can at least get extended night hours. This deluxe skipper sounds interesting.

How many were in your party? We are going over SB but have 12 in our party, we will probably split up 6/6 since we are going with my parents and toddlers.

I was pretty good at getting my own last year, but might be good just for the VQ.
Seems like they use computers and not humans to book VQ which gets us a better chance of getting VQ for large parties.

Thinking about a Greek Isle cruise next summer with DD (then fly to Paris for a few days). Want to use Chase points. We have only ever cruised DCL (seven times) and smoke and casinos definitely aren't our thing. Any recommendations for a cruise line? I'm thinking of looking at RCI.
