Does anyone know what's going to happen with the Barclay's Aviator Red cards? Will they be rolled into Citi cards? Is there any advantage to holding onto my card vs. just canceling it?

I closed mine too. I didn't think too much about it, but didn't need it for the free bags and don't see a purpose for it at the moment.

SM or chat. There's an account closure option. I've done chat and it shows as closed right after.

Yikes..... I have one opened 12/24.... do I wait till AF posts to cancel? The only benefit on this card (for me) was the free check bag

You can wait for the AF if you want. They'll refund, but it takes them awhile (have read 15 days), so you might have to pay it first. I didn't want to deal with a refund, so I canceled a few days after anniversary date.

Ha, I'm trying to figure out if mine even has an annual fee. My notes say I don't think it does.

I opened it 12/6/24 and I do see that my statement balance as of yesterday is still $0 so I think mine does not have an AF.

The Aviator Red has an AF. It's charged sometime after the anniversary date (could be a few weeks).

Does anyone here have the Morgan Stanley AMEX Platinum card? I have a few questions about it.

I received the CSP SUB in Aug 2021 and the CSR SUB in Sept 2021. I have kept the CSP open because of the good benefits, but now I want to take advantage of the higher Reserve SUB. I want to make sure my plan is acceptable. I need to transfer all my CSP pts to my CFU, close my CSP, wait a week, then apply for the CSR. Assuming I don't get a pop-up, my plan is to keep the CSR a year and then downgraade to a CSP. Any issues with this plan?

If you close it, it's thought to take 30 days to clear the system. Better to PC to a Freedom, then only 4 days.
