I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Has anyone been to Cooperstown, NY and the baseball hall of fame. I think next year it's time to finally go instead of just saying I want to go.

I won't spend the whole week there so starting to figure out what to pair it with.

We went to Cooperstown when we drove out east for a vacation. We live in Illinois and drove to NYC, stopping at Hershey and Philadelphia, PA on the way, then home through Cooperstown and Niagara Falls.

UGGGHH! Can't seem to get approved for anything right now. Used to be approved instantly - now just getting denied.

Tried BOA Biz, Chase Ink and now Citi Strat Card. Not sure if I need to go through and start closing some cards to not have so much credit out there or maybe just lowering the credit limits (especially on the Marriott and IHG Cards - I just keep them for the FN Certificates)

Anyone else having this much trouble? Hate not having a SUB I am working on!!

Does it even matter to lower Credit Limits on Biz Cards?
I've been carrying a balance on both my inks (0% for a year) and I wonder if that's helps with approval?

I'm visiting a friend in PA in August with Hershey and Philly on the list. I've also done the Canadian side of Niagra.

It might be time to finally go to NYC instead of also saying I'd like to go there sometime. Get out of the city to rent a car. It would be the easier flight to/from SEA.

Anyone have recent trouble (or success) making payments on their Target Circle CC using Visa GC at the customer service desk? I do this all the time and never had trouble, but ran into problems today. Not sure if it's an issue with the specific card I was using or if this isn't working any longer?
Worked fine on Saturday. I use the BHN Pathward ones from Staples or ODOM.

When we visited, I think I was college-age. I seem to recall that I liked the Farmer's Museum. I thought the Baseball Hall of Fame was boring. I just remember walls of bronze plaques for different players, like this https://www.cnet.com/pictures/baseball-hall-of-fame-plaques-photos/

I had it happen once that a VGC from Staples did not get properly activated. Still had the receipt and the office manager fixed it. Could it be somehting like that?

Latest on my Jan 1 CIC app - denial letter today because they couldn't get a credit report. Well, duh. My credit is frozen. I did thaw it when I applied, and they did pull it then. Guess I will have to thaw again and call. Do I need to thaw all 3 bureaus?

So unfroze and called. Spent a half hour on hold only to be told my Transunion is still frozen on their end. Really hating Chase right now.

Has anyone gotten a retention offer on Citi AA business cards? AF hit and wondered if they have any offers.

Can you downgrade a card from the version with an annual fee to the free version without another credit check?
Usually yes. Citi used to be a bit wonky though. If you tell us which cards we probably have someone here who has done it. Also you need to have the card for 1 year first.

Did anyone use the offer for Chase Travel recently on Sapphire cards where you got 20,000 URs for spending $500 on hotels through Chase Travel? How long did it take to receive the 20k URs?

I made a booking 5 weeks ago and haven't received anything yet.

For those looking at cheaper SW flights, I was finally able to change our spring break flight to Orlando, and saved points (700 per person).
And I was able to change out Belize tickets, saving 4,600/person and booked the return flight with those savings (was 15,000 points short but didn't want to transfer URs since DH is waiting for his SUB to post).
