I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

According to DOC, Amex is making changes to the Uber credits. It’s a little fuzzy but looks like it will make it slightly harder to use.
Seems to be that one has to pay with Amex card. But yeah, still fuzzy.

I would hope using one Amex card as the default payment method will still let still combine all the Uber credits into one transaction

How long between apps?

I had ink cash 10/2023 and preferred in april. My only chase cards in the past year.

That and I hope they let you use gc. I always either use a gc or an Amex for Uber anyway. Uber eats goes to my gold card if I don't have gc.

I use gift card/credit from Amex/CSR. But I can switch it to my Platinum. I've been stocking up on Uber Eats gift cards at Costco so I hope it's not like the Instacart Chase credit where if you have more in gift cards than the order, you have to either only use the gift card or use the credit and a credit card.

I saw it changes in Nov, I think during my wdw trip. At least the credit will get used on my Uber from mco before that.

I was surprised in Boston last week, Lyft was quite a bit cheaper than Uber sometimes so I didn't use up all my gc. Guess I need to check Lyft more often, but traveling with my mom we used them more than I normally would.

Now that I am done getting CC for now I am getting a bunch of higher bonus offers for Delta Biz cards via FB, also the personal offer is higher than it was when doing a flight purchase. Biz Plat 100k, Biz Reserve 110K, Personal 50k + $500

No Schwab Platinum? I cash out MRs through Schwab at 1.1:1 although I think there is a limit at that ratio.
I have a business platinum and a business account. I think I can do 1:1 from that. What about the chase?

Not sure what chase cards you have, but you can use PYB on certain categories on a CSR at 1.25 or deposit the points 1-1 to your bank account …I “think” the 1-1 to a bank account works with other personal cards but no experience

Correct, you can do 1 cpp with the biz plat and biz checking account. Not sure if they got the online option back, but you can call to transfer into the checking account.

All Chase UR cards can cash out at 1 cpp as well. It's an option in the UR Rewards portal menu "Convert to cash" > "Cash back". If you MS or can shift spending and have CSR, there are PYB categories that will get 1.25 cpp instead. Wholesale clubs and gas stations have various GCs to spend or liquidate. Should still come out ahead of any fees. Or combination of cash back and PYB.

I was wondering...I know it's the worst use of points but what's the best way to cash our points. I have a million amex points and about 250k chase points.
I sometimes use the "pay yourself back" option with my CSR. I haven't done it in a while so the categories might have changed, but I believe that gas stations are (or recently were) an option for 1.25 cent per point. I think you can also PYB for non-category purchases but at a lower rate.

Hilton is one that I do speculative transfers for, and Flying Blue is another. Both of these programs I use with enough frequency that I am comfortable doing it, but it's a very specific, individual comfort level thing. If I'm doing it speculatively, I usually wait until towards the end of the transfer bonus, just in case I am shifting gears.
HawaiianMiles for me, as long as it's bonus season.

You've gotten the usual answers with Chase. I've done pay yourself I guess it is on my CSP earlier this year on my Disney restaurant charges that were like $200- $500 a shot since we were 6 people. I wanted to mitigate the out of pocket expenses as that (March, Easter) started climbing over 10K cash. Now my points total are climbing back up there so I'll probably do this again if I can in Nov/Dec and Feb on my next Disney trips. I also save UR's to get a room in summer at Hyatt in Ocean City in July or August (right now 29k) but I wouldn't spend that in off season as cash prices plummet as you probably know. I haven't cashed out but that looks like a fairly easy option at 1-1.

I did well with gift cards a few years back when Amex would do 20% off on store brands so I went to look at that and all they have is the Amex prepaid cards that get you half a cent per point. Yikes! Amex is not very generous. Fortunately for me my Amex MR are minimal as I spent most of them. Now I can't even see a good path to get a cent per point as the restaurant cards are all gone!

Hilton might be where my very few Amex MR's end up going.

Do you know if the PYB for wholesale clubs would work if you booked a Disney Cruise through Costco? or is it just regular warehouse purchases?
