Just popping in to say thank you -- if not for you guys, I would not have know that I could go online to my credit card websites, and add offers to my cards. Most of the time there isn't anything useful, but I just used one which will give me $18 back on something I would have ordered anyway, so I'm happy about that.

Just got another US Bank Triple Cash Biz Card for DH. Applied last week and it went pending... but then a few hours later it was approved. Yeah! Need to take a break from Chase for a bit (currently already working on another INK Card) and in AMEX Jail, so this keeps us busy with another SUB.

Last US Bank Triple Cash was in July and then a US Bank Biz Alt Card in August. I also have 3 Biz Cards with them from this year also.

Have $16,000 in Europe Trip coming due. DS25 and DD23 are each paying $4000 towards this. Just got DS and INK Card and will have him refer DD for her to get an INK Card (after she lowers some of her other cards credit l

I'm planning a couple of Japan trips for next year! Flights are booked, but the rest of the trips are still in progress - some hotels/accommodation have been booked but there are still many nights not yet booked.

Current things I'm trying to do
- Find hotels in Osaka/Kyoto that accommodate 3 people
- Get a Tokyo Disney vacation package (probably for TDH) when bookings open for the date I need...
- Figure out how to book the Shinkansen with luggage reservations

It's possibly a bit easier for me as I live in Singapore which is just a 6-7 hour flight from Japan, and a lot of people I know have been to Japan this year (or are currently in Japan, or have trips to Japan planned) - it's an extremely popular holiday destination here!

But I've only ever been to Tokyo (and this was many years ago), so I'm still slowly figuring out stuff like reserving Shinkansen tickets, Suica cards, as well as what to do in Osaka/Kyoto/Nara/Kobe. Plus what to do in Tokyo as well! I got a Lonely Planet guidebook but still haven't read it yet...

And even Tokyo Disney is confusing - took me a couple of nights to figure out vacation packages... and I just spent the last hour trying to learn about all the restaurant options on the vacation packages so I can decide which ones to go for!
It’s easier to have your hotel forward your luggage via a transfer service than get the oversized luggage seats, tbh. It’s what I’m doing on my trip. It also saves you lugging them around train stations. The hotel fills out a form, you pay the cost, I think you even get tracking, and then you arrive at your next hotel and your luggage is there.

If you want a hotel that you can use points on I can’t help you, but otherwise, Hotel Monday or Apartment Hotel Mimaru.

Chase offers are great. Helps offset the fees on cards for stuff you would buy anyway.

Got a call from Amex today to see how I am using my Platinum card make sure I know the benefits etc.. the one thing that struck me as odd she asked what the the name of my business meant, what I do and what I would use my card for most. Likely just small talk. Curious if anyone got this type of call and this is standard for new Platinum cardholders?

I had a weird awkward call like that maybe a year or so ago. I think on the business side it's just their customer success managers' job to check in on customers or something.

Okay cool thanks. New to this and for some reason I have a small sense of paranoia almost like when a cop drives behind me and I know I’m not doing anything wrong but yet I’m paranoid 🤣

$100 DGC will be discounted at Best Buy tomorrow through their app. Am I good to buy some with an Amex Biz Gold while I'm spending towards a welcome bonus? Will Amex get upset about it?

I wouldn't count it towards your sub spend just to be safe. You are allowed to buy GC but the rules say it wont be counted for SUB spend. Better safe than sorry.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!

We just finished the spend on my husband's CIP and now we need a new card. I have some stuff to pay for before the end of the calendar year.

I like Chase but I'm nervous due to the recent DPs.

Here are my current stats:

Overall: 2/24 with the most recent personal card (Chase IHG) opened 3/27/24.
Current personal Chase cards open (if it matters): OG Freedom, CSP, IHG, and Bonvoy.
Chase Biz Cards currently open: 2 CIC's (most recent was opened 6/23) and a CIP opened 7/2024
I also closed FOUR CIC's within the last 6 months (all closed 5/2024) if that matters.

Do you think my chances of successfully opening another Ink (I'd go for another CIC, I suppose) are good or should I stay away and look for something else for now?

I'm thinking I might go for another US bank card too. I was just denied a CIU. I have three open chase biz cards (CIPx2 and CIC), so I obviously need to cool it with Chase for a bit. I got a US Bank Triple cash at the end of October. Might take my chances now with the Business Altitude or is it too soon? What are people doing with the US bank points? Statement credits?

Replying to myself to add:

Definitely not going for any more Chase cards right now!

Will look at Amex... I have two BBPs but beyond that, nothing.

Aaaand I froze with indecision on Amex so ended up with the CitiAA mastercard. I last earned the bonus on that in September 2019 so I should be OK!

It's nice they give me the card number so I can use it right away. Very convenient.

ETA: NOT Very convenient because I can ONLY use the temporary card on aa.com or for travel! Oh well.

Wow. Mom just was approved for the Citibusiness AA MC over the weekend and we are waiting for the card to arrive via snail mail. I wonder if we missed seeing a card number to use right away! 🔍

Not even mailed yet! 😭

I don't think you can call to expedite a CitiBusiness card, can you?

I was trying so hard to be patient but it is so hard knowing it hasn't even been sent out! :crazy2:
