E-mail and it sounds like a basic upgrade with no SUB, but benefits of having the card (including the AF). Is this worthwhile? I would really really really like more HH points.

DH's second Aspire is from an upgrade without a bonus. Did it because we had immediate use for the resort credit. Plus it was near end of the year, so my intent was to triple dip the $250 airline credit (at the time), but they changed it to $50/quarter before I could do the third dip. I got an FNC about 2 months after upgrading and then again 3 months after that at the regular anniversary.

If you can spare the 5/24 slot and can get past the pop-up, I think a new card is better. If not, an upgrade without SUB can still be worth doing, depending on how you value the benefits.

DH just got another Biz Plat offer in the mail. 250K MRs for 15K! Amex loves him much more than they love me.

The funny thing is that we're still working on his previous Biz Plat SUB. Have any $50 left to spend my next week. I'm surprised they would send him another targeted offer so soon! But hey, we'll take it. Property taxes coming up.

ETA: this will be his third open Biz Plat until we close one in August after the AF hits. No issue with having that many open at one time, right?

I got the 250K MR mailer as well. It is in one of my business' names but I would like to use it in another business name or preferably in my own name as sole proprietor. Can I use the offer but use a different business name?

We are back from our niece’s graduation trip. She chose Greece, so we booked a Virgin Voayges cruise for her trip. What she did not know was that we were keeping her an extra week and taking her to Paris and London as a surprise.

We positioned to EWR and used UTB for our positioning flights. Our stay in NYC was at the Chatwal and we used Hyatt points to cover that. Our next flight was on Emirates fifth-freedom flight using from EWR-ATH. We booked the 3 of us in business class for the 9 hour flight. Amex MRs covered those. I had also purchased an Emirates Skyward subscription plan which allowed me to save 50% of the points needed to book for the 3 of us.

We arrived in Athens 2 nights before our cruise. I used 2 free night Marriott certificates to book The Grande Bretagne hotel. We were able to use upgrade awards and were upgraded to the deluxe grande suite which comes with butler service. The check in for this room was in a private reception area and we were given champagne while checking in. The staff and service was amazing. Concierge was able to book us dinner at the Michelin starred rooftop restaurant which was fantastic!

On our Santorini day, I booked a flying dress photo shoot for the niece and me. Judging what time to book something like this is tough in Santorini due to the time it may take to get up the cliff via cable car. It’s anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours. We were traveling with my TA so she booked us a private water taxi and a private car to get us into Oia on time. This was perfect and I’d recommend that route to anyone trying to get to Oia at a particular time.

Post cruise we flew Air France from Athens to Paris. The AF miles were an MR transfer. Then we had 2 nights at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile. I used a suite upgrade award to accommodate a party of 3. Somehow the hotel thought we were a party of 2 and upgraded us to a loft suite which was beautiful but is supposed to be for 2 guests. It’s huge so they set up an extra bed for our niece. The next night they moved us to an Eiffel Tower view suite. We used Hyatt points for our two nights here. We also booked a tour of the Louvre with a Find experience credit received on the way to hitting globalist last year. We also booked an evening cruise in the Seine to see the Eiffel Tower lit up at night but up close.

We did one night at the New York Marvel hotel in Disneyland Paris and 2 days of tickets. I rented out DVC points to cover this part.

We took the Eurostar to London and checked into the Hyatt Regency Churchill. This was also booked using Hyatt points and we used a suite upgrade certificate for the stay as well. We had the 9th floor balcony suites. We saw ABBA Voyage (2nd time for me and Planeprincess) and we also went to Warner Bros Harry Potter studios on a VIP tour. This was outstanding! Tower of London was a must do since we managed to get spots for Ceremony of the Keys.

Our flight home was on BA in business class booked with Avios. It was an amazing trip and I am so glad we were able to cover so much of it with points and miles.
You are one heck of an aunt! How was Virgin Voyages? We've only done DCL and I'm wondering how Virgin would be. I think the thing that scares me a bit is I'm so used to how family friendly DCL is (I know Virgin is adult only).

I just spoke with AmEx, the upgrade offer does not come with any points and the AF would be billed on July 20th.

Is it possible to apply for a new Aspire (cancelled 3 yrs ago) with a DoC link (not sure if the Aspire has NLL), then take the upgrade offer (I can use both of the FNCs easily at SLH properties)?

Has anyone booked American Airlines flights through British Avios? I am wondering if the economy and business fares will include luggage

For those that have received recent Chase business CC denial how long are you going to take off before you apply? Anyone been approved after the recent denials?
DH received a denial in Feb and March, it's been 4 months, he's down to 2 Chase business card.
His last Chase business card was 11/2023.

I decided to apply for the basic HH card using a DoC NLL link and got instant approval.

I want another CIP and don't think I can meet the MSR of 2xCIPs + a new Aspire. Also I didn't see the NLL link for an Aspire (though I didn't try super hard). I think I'm going to take the upgrade offer on the basic HH I got last year since I have a few HH stays over the next year and enjoy lounge access plus I want another FNC -- can anyone confirm when I will get the FNC if I do the upgrade?

No idea. We've always done sole proprietor so all business credit accounts have had the same names

P2 was approved for a Chase IHG business card on 04/08. Then a Chase Southwest business card on 06/27. I want to apply them for a CIP sometime before 09/02 when the 40k support bonus ends. If I wait 30 days from the Southwest approval should I be ok? As far as business cards go they have an CIU, IHG, and the Southwest. They have had more business cards with Chase but they were Ink cards that have been closed.

The Hilton FNCs can take a while. I hit my anniversary Feb 24 and didn't receive the FNC until end of April or beginning of May.

I just rebooked my June 2025 Greece/Italy Disney Cruise to a Norwegian Fjords cruise in August. I couldn't get excited about Greece and Italy in June (sounded hot and we've done several of those ports before). I still really need a vacation now, but the best I can come up with is three weeks in SW Florida during peak hurricane season. I am going to fly dd down for a long weekend so she and my mom can celebrate their birthdays together (21st and 81st).

I have 2 Aspires and so does DH. We each took the second one without a bonus and have come ahead every year. We do fully utilize the airline credit, resort credits and FN certs every year. This was before the SLH properties so now I am super excited about using them.

Thanks :-) Virgin Voyages was awesome. This was our third cruise with them and third ship we have been on. We booked a future cruise before we got off as well. I love DCL but we get way more bang for the buck with VV. We also get more perks and great deals as repeat cruisers. This round everyone in our party had a $600 bar credit and there were 7 of us. We were not going to drink $4,000 worth of alcohol. Especially as half our group doesn't drink and those of us that do are more like the one cocktail or glass of wine with dinner type of drinkers. We were randomly getting bottles of champagne and surprising other cruisers by gifting it to them. That was fun. We all also got what they call sailor loot which is like an onboard credit for experiences, merchandise or gambling credits. I got myself a new pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, a new pair of Ray Ban sunglasses for me and one pair for my niece, some clothing for DH and then spent the last $100 playing slots in the casino and came home with over $400 that I won there.

The food is always good. The entertainment is different than DCL and can be hit or miss. The staff is wonderful! The passengers I have met are all nice. The adult only is nice as quiet places can really be quiet. The people who seek certain .. cough cough ... adult activities that I imagine many of us have heard about, I suppose find each other. If you aren't looking for it, you won't know if it is or isn't happening from what I can gather. I know it happens from what I read on the FB group pages but I've never noticed anything happening if that makes sense. The vibe is super fun and very you do you.

Yes, makes sense! Thank you so much. I’m intrigued.

I hear it takes about 8 weeks for anniversary FNCs to hit, as well as the initial FNC to hit. So if your AF resets on 7/20, I would try to upgrade NOW in hopes you'll get an anniversary FNC (since the basic doesn't come with one on an anniversary, right?)

I am going to go look at my accounts now in hopes maybe I have an upgrade offer.
