Is there any kind of precedent for how long after a Chase in-bank offer goes live it might move to online?

I’m trying to hold off on a CSP in hopes the in-bank offer ends up online, but not sure how long I can/want to wait.

I've been looking to buy a power adapter for Ireland travel and when reading the comments a lot of them say they do not work for anything that heats up like a hair straightener or dryer. They only work for phones and electronics. Can anyone recommend a good adapter that works for everything or is that not a thing?
I think everyone answered but I honestly bought another flat iron that says dual voltage. Didn't got to Ireland, but I figure I'll keep it. I have it at my BFs house now, LOL.

Thanks for the rec. When would you suggest I start looking on Hilton's website or any other hotel's site to look for a reward/points room? This is my first time booking any hotel on points so I'm a complete noob. Do they just randomly drop? I've only ever used my URs for SW.
The "standard" rate w/ points can change availability honestly daily. I've had resorts show no standard rooms, and then 2 days later they have them. The perk of the "standard" price is that it's lower points. I've honestly gotten great rooms last minute!

I am trying to decide if I want to spend 5 full days in Amsterdam (I spent 5 days there a year ago) and just 2 full days in Paris (I haven't been in 10 yrs). There aren't many train tickets left, so I need to decide. I would go for it, except I will only have 2 full days in Brussels --> Amsterdam (currently 5 full days) --> Paris (currently 2 full days). Part of me wants to make the change, but the part of me that doesn't enjoy hopping around for just a few days in each city is holding me back. Thoughts?

It it normal when applying for a charles schwab account to get the brokerage instantly and the bank account go under review? DoC says it's a soft pull so I didn't bother to unfreeze anything.

Also I haven't gotten any emails about anything other than my log in. I don't even want the brokerage, I just want the bank account.

Are you traveling with anyone else? And do they have any other cities they would like to travel to? On my bucket list is Bruges. Would be a great day trip from Brussels. Cologne is beautiful. We were there for the Christmas market in 2021. Would love to spend more time there! If you’re ok taking regional and ICE trains, you can travel to other cities off the beaten path. I’m hoping to do a one day river cruise starting in Rudesheim. I am visiting Amsterdam for the first time later in the month for 2 days. So a quick trip to see some highlights. Some of my best travel memories are from hopping around without an itinerary. Discovering as I went.

Yes, this was my experience as well. I remember it took several days (a week maybe) before the checking account showed up. Like you, no email or anything. I contemplated calling, but eventually it showed up when I logged in. It wasn’t a great first impression, but since then everything has worked as expected. Great customer service as well.

That all just seems crazy to me. At least it's normal for them. Guess I'll check it at the end of the week :)

I'm traveling solo. I wanted to go to Bruges too, but with just 2 full days in Brussels I am not sure if it is feasible. Will decide on that when I get there.

Part of what I'm struggling with in regards to Paris is the on-off transit strikes. I walk and take public transit when I travel, if the metro isn't running my transport cost could go up -- I max out at ~30-35k steps/day.

ITA enjoying cities. The only ticket I have (aside from my train tickets between cities) is for the Van Gogh Museum, which must be purchased online several weeks in advance. Tried for the Vermeer exhibit at the Rijks, but lol. Still deciding if I want to go to Keukenhof; I have decided if the tulips are in bloom I will go (last year I was there too early).

Can anyone share their redacted Wells Fargo $1500 1099? I wasn't issued one and despite calling, they haven't sent one. I've entered it manually into my tax software but am missing a few details.

We'll be at Keukenhof on April 14 before getting on a river cruise, fingers crossed we at least get to see some!

I need to pay $10,0

Glad Paypal still works. I've got to pay Q1 estimated payments and I'm splitting it between an Amex Biz Platinum (retention offer) and my new CIU (MSR).
What retention did Amex offer you? I keep going back and forth on whether to keep my Biz Plat. I haven't liked the retention options they've offered me so far

@sinnika You have had quite the adventure getting to your daughter's! The passenger (and the crew) were very lucky that there was an ER nurse and doc on board. As a former flight attendant, I am very familiar with the limits of what crew can do without onboard medical expertise. My mom was a nurse for almost 50 years and I have nothing but high praise for nurses. Thanks for pitching in. You and I both know that poor passenger did not want the docs to do the IV, lol.

I don’t know how to do that but if you start a conversation and let me know what information you need I can look at mine

My friend who is meeting me in Amsterdam is leaving it up to me for the planning. I’ve booked tickets to.the Anne Frank house on April 19 and the Keuknof the morning of the 20th before we fly to Frankfurt later that afternoon. Then train to my DD’s. We’re planning to go to Stuttgart for their Spring festival. They have the beer tents like Octoberfest but on a smaller scale. She’s only visiting Europe for 6 days and wanted to see Paris if possible. She has to fly back to Houston on the 25th so she may change her return flight to leave from Paris and we’ll take the train to Paris from DD’s home. It would be a 24 hour adventure for her, and I’ll add a 2nd day to visit either Versailles or go to DLP again. I’m operating on a bum knee (looking at a knee replacement in my future) so my days of 15,000 steps are on hold right now. I’m hoping to get around by bus and Ubers there. And train or airplane back to Germany. And of course this is all dependent on any strikes that may impede our travel. Last time I was in Paris was 13 years ago with the family. I’ve been to DLP twice in the last 18 months. And tickets are such a steal compared to WDW!

That’s what the crew was saying. They were grateful for the help and I had the opportunity to get familiar with all of their emergency equipment and the medications available on board. The doctors were from the Netherlands and all of the supplies and medicines were US brands, so not so familiar to them. I got to administer IV meds too. Even took the time to educate the flight attendants on some of the emergency equipment. I’m an adrenaline junkie at heart and thrive under pressure. I’m getting ready to celebrate my 45th year as a nurse. I’ve had an amazing career as both a civilian and military nurse. And now I get to see DD do the same as an AirForce nurse working in the ER here in Germany.😊

I'm looking for advice regarding yearly travel insurance. Any thoughts, links, ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I looked into it earlier this year, but I couldn’t find anything that would meet our needs, but mostly because I was looking for something that would cover us for the next 12 months that covered pre-existing conditions. But from my research pee-exciting conditions were only covered for new booking and since all of our 2023 trips were already booked it didn’t work for us.

Tried searching the interwebs, but still confused. I know someone here will be able to help me!
I have a United card w/the 2 yearly 1x use club passes. My husband will be traveling United w/out me (out of OHare & Austin), can he use the passes w/out me? He is an authorized user w/his own card.
Can someone walk me through it so I can walk him through it.

Thanks. I need something that would cover it, too. Plus I booked a Celebrity 2024 cruise, so that wouldn't even be covered in the first 12 months. :( I just want something that's easier than constantly purchasing a new policy for every overseas trip.

I have looked into it, but my issue is sometimes I travel with dd, sometimes ds and most of the time, solo. If I were to buy an annual policy it would just be for me; then I'd have to buy separate policies for either dd or ds when they're traveling with me. I didn't want to deal with the hassle, though at some point in the future I reserve the right to change my mind :)
