Are you sure the range is going to get rid of the possible fire hazard? Maybe it will burn itself out in an enclosed space?

Which air fryer did you have? I have the Ninja Foodi oven.

I've been range shopping and also considering the ones with air fryer capabilities since DD uses it so often. Reason for shopping a new range: old one is white and going strong. All other appliances are stainless. I did have a built in convection oven that I rarely used but had it removed after a couple of years to create more counter space.
LOL no, I am not sure it will remove the fire hazard... maybe it would just be a larger fire, yikes! I have read a ton of reviews and I guess I'm just hoping for the best. Our range is also white and old, but still going strong too. Our dishwasher is white too, but has slowly been dying a miserable death since we bought the house 5 years ago. It's been making awful noises. So it's finally time to upgrade both to stainless.

Thinking of going for the southwest 75k offer. We didn't get companion pass this year and really missed it. What is the best way to do this now? Should I MDD two personal cards, try for one personal/one business, etc? I'm currently 2/24 and have mostly been focusing on inks and other biz cards.

If you are in a hurry MDD would be easier, but 1 Biz and 1 personal would keep you at 3/24 in case a really good personal card comes around.

I applied for a CIC a few days ago. Two hours later I could see a new card in my Chase acct online. Credit limit $5000.

Just got an email saying welcome to CIC, your credit limit is $1965. Checked my online acct and it still says $5000?

My daughter is contemplating applying for a CapOne card for the Taylor Swift tickets. I saw a few mentions of this but nothing definite--do people think this will work? Any tips? I'm guessing it might be easier to get a Venture expedited than a Quicksilver?

Since you're at 2/24, I would MDD two personal cards, since you would not be able to apply for another personal Southwest card due to the Chase "One Southwest Rule" (personal cards only). Being at 4/24 when you're done would not prevent you from getting a Southwest business card to add more miles. Of course, this assumes you want to stockpile Southwest miles while the offers are good (and not just qualify for the CP which only requires 2 cards).

Yes, I think you could request the card to be expedited; not sure if they are overwhelmed at all. I would app ASAP though, just in case. As long as you have a CapOne card, you should be good to get presale access.

You could do either of those or go for both business cards …all 3 options get you the points needed for a CP…

I've been trying not to spend money but today I broke down and jumped on an early Black Friday deal at Best Buy. My Ninja Foodi Oven gets used non-stop and it's disgusting so it's getting replaced with the newer model. I just am unwilling to clean it (sorry landfill). Used my Amex with the BB offer so if I spend another $92 or so before 12/15 I'll get $25 back.
Mine is so gross! I've cleaned it as much as I can but there's so many parts that either you can't get out or can't reach to clean.
Mine caught fire a couple of weeks ago due to some grease splattering on the heating element probably from cheese. Thankfully, my husband was able to throw it in the backyard while I'm yelling at him and the fire alarm (with the announcer voice!) is going off and the only damage was soot all the way up my cabinets. I found that the parchment liners really help but if you aren't careful about turning it off when sone with a liner in there, the liner catches fire (been there, done it twice). We have the Breville which we love but its not digital and cooking under 10 minutes is hard to gauge so sometimes, we just pull the food out and when we shut the door, it starts up again until the timer is over. This is really a love hate appliance.
Yikes! I never thought about it catching fire. We do use it a lot, almost daily, so I may start watching the ads to see if it goes on sale during the holidays. We have the Ninja oven.

I saw some people on other sites posted they did it the way I did it and it worked, but no one on the Dis that I can find has said that, and I tend to trust them more. I guess I will give it a day or two and see if the credit appears, and if not, I will cancel and rebook on Hyatt's site for the best rate.
I think you've changed your mind, but I did it last spring. Booked our London hotel thru Chase portal except for $51.00. Credited with no issue.
That is a little scary. DH has been telling me to throw our air fryer for awhile, he hates that thing and thinks it's a fire waiting to happen. Coincidentally, I got a recall notice from Best Buy a few months back for it. I forgot to do anything about it and now they aren't offering the refund anymore. But we are getting these new appliances in the next few days, and we've decided on a range that has air frying built in, so we can get rid of this fire hazard!
I just ordered a new range with 'air fryer' that I don't plan on using. It's literally a basket that hangs off the rack. I foresee all the grease dripping down to the bottom and smoking or burning unless you put a sheet pan under which just makes more cleanup. Plus I think it would spatter on the oven walls. I'll stick with my counter top air fryer. I have the Ninja Foodi 5 in 1 Air fryer grill. Pretty much all the parts that get greasy can pop in the dishwasher.

Load until the Available stays under 100 when you reload. You can have way more (over 250 in mine now) in the Added offers but only 100 will show up in Available. My Surpass and Hilton Biz are not showing that many offers but the Surpass is where it showed up.
I thought you could only have 100 in the Added Offers so my Available has stayed above 100. This is good to know. I wish you could hide/delete the offers you were not interested in.

My P2 was pre-approved and app'd for Savor One. I was able to get the virtual number within the app right away, we both already have Cap1 savings accounts. App'd on Tuesday and just got a message today that the card should be here on the 10th.

It looks like the regular presale at 10am does not require a Cap1 card, there is a special presale at 2pm for Cap1 cardholders. Sounds like some seats will be held for that second presale.

What's a good way to top up or get more AA points? All of sudden I'm wishing had more...a first for me! Also working on a way to (hopefully) get in on the great ink offers right now, it's the msr that I need to figure out....

Do you know how often Apple products go on sale? With the Sapphire Reserve the AirPod Pro 2 are 16,600 points which is awesome as I wanted to get a new pair anyway after losing one of my old ones.
Can you tell me the differences between the airpod options? How comfortable are they in ear? most of them look like the old style apple earbuds which I always toss away b/c they're so uncomfortable

The pros have silicon tips and come with 4 sizes. The newer AirPods 3 are still plastic and one size but they more resemble the pros. If you don’t like the older AirPods then the pros might work since they come with resizable silicon tips. I like the way the older AirPods fit so I might go with those to save points. Also I don’t really use the features of the pros.

Top up? How many points? The shopping points post within of few days of shipping.
I’ve managed to earn 30k points this year on the shopping portal. That’s the main shopping portal I use.

Good morning and Happy Saturday.

Regarding getting my 18 year old his own card- we tried the Discover Student, but as I mentioned awhile back, he actually dropped out of school and they ARE asking for school documentation. He has been an AU on my Freedom for awhile now but we applied him for his own a few months ago and got an instant denial. Any other suggestions for a first time card applicant?

I would do a secured Discover card.

Got my Universal Japan tickets with the Wakuwari discount. Only available on the Japanese site so was a little tricky and ended up using the hotel address. Got the QR codes, so hope all is okay. 🤞

Didn't try Visa and MC since the English website says foreign ones aren't working. Amex worked perfectly fine on desktop. Didn't have to go through Apple Pay like some were saying on Reddit.

Express Pass hasn't opened up yet, hope I can get the one I want without issue.
