are you talking about $15 off? those credit in such a strange way...every month I think it's not gonna work and then it does..... I have to remember to switch my autopay next week.... my entire bill is $19 so this was fun having an almost free phone....

Same here!

Does anyone know if Staples or OD/OM sells Xbox gold giftcards? I need to get my 12yo one. If I can get 5x points, might as well, LOL.

Okay my CSR travel credit reset. Looking and the fine print, grocery/gas expired 6/2021. So what's the best way to quickly use the $300 credit so I can downgrade my card. I'm not a SW fan and never fly them. My airlines of choice are Delta or AA I guess. The BF and I are hoping to go somewhere in Feb, but I won't know when/where until Feb, LOL.

Anyone else get nervous when applying for a new card? I've never been denied but every single time I get nervous when I hit the submit application button. Anyway I was just approved for the Venture X. Looking forward to booking some travel in the upcoming year with my wife and taking advantage of those credits.
Me! I waver back and forth so often I wait for weeks to finally apply. The only time I've been denied is the Amex pop-ups, and the Barclay Biz took 475644 attempts, LOL.

Oh and just one more. I see that the last time I used the TSA/GE credit was back in 10/2017. Since it's ever 4 years, I could use that too right? I might just push forward on TSA precheck for my 16yo. And then later get her the GE once I finally do their passports, LOL.

The TSA pre check is paid at the appointment so you would have to do it quickly to get the full AF refund.
For the $300 I’d buy gift cards at the supermarket

Maybe not the best use, but do you have any local Marriotts or Hyatts that sell gift cards? There is a Courtyard Marriott not too far from my house that sells gift cards, which can be used at most worldwide Marriott hotels. Call a few Marriotts and ask before you head out.

I'll try and apply for the TSA for her later today. I can't do GE as I still don't have her passport, LOL. It's a christmas present...might as well double dip.

On my chase account this is what it says about grocery "Through June 30, 2021, in addition to eligible purchases made in the Travel category, purchases posted by June 30, 2021 in the Gas Station and Grocery Store categories will also count toward the $300 Annual Travel Credit." I guess the way to check is to spend a small amount and see.

I'm not a huge Marriott person (plus have 5 FNC). Same with Hyatt, LOL. And w/ Hilton I'm on my friends "family" list who works there.

I'm hoping there will be a post by DoC or someone that goes over the amex card perks with what's staying and what's going. I know some where for covid/keeping people but some with the gold are going away. I can't remember if grubhub is going and uber is staying or what it was, just that we got both for this year if we already had the card.

Miles to Memories publishes an AmEx Credit Spreadsheet that I've found helpful - they keep it updated pretty regularly so I expect they'll update it for the new year at some point. https://milestomemories.com/amex-limited-time-credit-spreadsheet/

Since you have 5 FNCs, you could use a Marriott GC for breakfast, gift shop, spa or at the bar. Just a thought.

Lucky! I knew of a Marriott in the Pittsburgh region that sold GC, but haven't found any in the Washington DC area yet. Have a couple of Amex offers I would like to use.

Has anyone used the Amex $ off cruiselines offer. There were several lines with the credit.
Any suggestions? Honestly was planning on flying the family somewhere and renting car but
with rental car prices still very high im back to looking at cruises. lol

I have to buy gift cards (about $1,000 total) for various kid Xmas gifts. Could go either Amazon or Walmart. I have plenty of spend to accomplish SW CP, so ideally will put it all on my SW visa. Any suggestions if there is a best way/place to buy these that also won't raise any weird manufactured spend problems with Chase? Also, do they relax their gift card issues during the holidays? I can't be the only person buying gift cards with my cc right now.

We have a RCCL cruise booked with our adult kids and my parents in March 2022. DH, I, and both of my parents had the RCCL offer on our cards. 2 offers for $500 off $1500 and 2 offers for $200 off of $500. The AMEX offer came out after (or at least I activated the offer after) we already paid the deposit of $500 per cabin. Our total balance due including gratuities after the deposits was only about $3800. I purchased a 4 device internet package for us to share to make up the difference. So, we paid $4000 towards the cruise and got back $1400! Cha Ching!!

I have activated some other cruiseline offers (CCL, NCL, and Celebrity) but not sure if we will book any cruises in time (who knows though). CCL expires on 12/31; NCL expires 2/27/22 and Celebrity expires 3/27/2022. None has been as generous as the RCCL offer.

We already have a MSC cruise booked (and paid in full) for February 2022.

I may look for a cruise next fall to book and use the AMEX offer before expiration, just because it's there! :rotfl2:

Has anyone taken advantage of the new-ish benefits on SW cards to get up to $500 in credit back when you do a points transfer? I transferred points on December 16 (2 days ago). The charges

Knock on wood, I’ve never had issues buying GCs with Chase. I’ve always heard that AMEX is the one that gets squirrelly about it, when you’re using GCs to meet your MSR.
