We just stayed at Boardwalk for the first time ten days ago and had a great stay. Loved the walkability to the parks. We're definitely planning to check out Beach Club and Yacht Club in the future!
I’m glad you had a good stay! Did you try any food at the boardwalk? We’ve stayed at both yacht and beach. I like yacht more but both are great because of the pool!

My son was surprisingly good waiting in line which we did not expect! Both of us would hold on to his hand and just talk to him/point things out if it was an interactive que. We tried to social distance for him at times by having one of us walk in the front and then my brother would bring up the rear so we controlled how close we were to people.
I’m not sure how Ds will do in lines. I feel like he’ll want to run into everyone and freak out. He has too much energy lol. Most likely we won’t do anything longer than 10 minutes. I’m honestly okay going and not riding anything and I doubt Ds would care. He just wants to run around

We didn't, we almost booked Trattorio but I just didn't end up doing it this trip. DH says he wants to try it in the future. We stopped in Boardwalk Bakery a couple times, but just for little things like coffee or a cookie. We ended up parkhopping so ate dinner at F&W booths one night and then at Yak and Yeti in AK another night.

We’re planning to do the bakery once or twice. Did they seem to have good breakfast choices? We most likely will be doing lots of qs around the hotel

Hey churning friends! We are back from our 8 night trip to Disney World. We had a great time, went with friends (first timers), stayed at the Hyatt MCO on arrival night, then 5 nights at YC followed by 2 nights at the Polynesian in the new room. It was hot & crowded, and we really missed FP+ and Character M&Gs.

Breakdown of expenditures:
  • 4 SW RT flights used 33,994 RR + CP
  • Hyatt MCO - FNC
  • 7 nights at WDW Resorts $3,000 paid using DGC bought at Wal-Mart then used PYB 200,000 URs
  • Charged all dinning to DH's CSR used and used 100,000 URs to erase some of the charges
Vacation cost $6,570 but used 300,000 URs to bring our out of pocket expenses down to $2,070.

That's awesome. I wish we could get SW flights that cheap. It seems like New Orleans to Orlando is never super cheap like I see other routes going for. Anytime I've priced it out it's always around 90,000 RR for 4 RT tickets.

So was the entire process 100% digital? Are the papers e-signed and sent via email? How did they do the appraisal?
I think that depends on your state. In MN, there are papers that must be wet signed at closing, you can do all digital, up until that point.

The Disney site shows the breakfast choices, you can check them out there, to see what you would like.

This was booked when SW was having their free change window, I booked the cheapest flights I could find then used the free change window twice to get this awesome deal. I don't think we'll see this kind of deal again.

I didn't pay close attention, sorry! We stopped by on the way back to the room at night for cookie and a coffee. We ate breakfast at starbucks.

I'd never seen this video before on what it's like checking in as a Diamond member. Good one.
"I'll need an ID." "Nobody's asked me for that before!" This is hilarious to me since DD works as a drive-thru bank teller and over and over again there are customers who want to withdraw money from their accounts without showing ID, indignantly saying they never had to do that before. Um, yes, you did, it's to make sure that your account is secure and only you can withdraw money from it. lol

The tile guy is coming soon! I picked out a Carrara porcelain tile (12" x 24") for floor and shower. My bathroom is so small (less than 80 sq. ft.) I'm wondering if I should splurge and do marble. But then that sounds like more maintenance. And I sent all of my choices to my mom and she said they are all safe and I need one "wow" like a border in the shower. Yes, I'm 44 and still listen to my mom:) I am hoping this goes well because I think my budget will go a lot farther if I hire a tile guy, electrician, plumber, and painter than if I go through a kitchen and bath place. Then if I have anything else left over I can work on a few other small projects (replacing the kids' vanity, tile backsplash for the kitchen, replacing the fence in the backyard).

Spend met on the Chase British Airways card for the 100K avios

Now we gotta shift all our spending to husband's CSP for the 100K URs- we didn't plan to end up with two MSRs at the same time so this will be fun although we FINALLY bought two trees for our back yard so that helps!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Just want to make sure whatever is on the floor won't be slippery.

Hmmm so to add to my post of just a few minutes ago:

The Chase app and website both show the 100K Avios earned and "transferred to Executive Club" but it doesn't say exactly what date that transfer occurred.

My actual British Airways account shows some miles deposited for prior transactions such as hotel stays (well... one hotel stay) but not the 100K bonus yet.

Anyone know how long that would normally take? I would have only hit the MSR in the last couple of days I think.

Good point--I'll make sure to ask when I go to the tile store.

And he did say to think about not doing a pre-made vanity because mine would basically need to go up against the wall but there would be a gap which would be a dust collector. I'm thinking I could swiffer under it (they usually have legs so you can get under them).

And I bought an IPad for DS Sunday from BB (with his $) and went through RMN and it tracked even though it says it excludes Apple items. And the tracked amount includes Applecare. In the past these have paid out but who knows.

I agree here. My parents replaced the original vanity and now there's a couple inches on either side. Stuff will fall down there, it is a pain to get them out as your arm won't fit far enough back. You will grow small hair animals unless you dust the area weekly, and you won't see them until they have grown big or you knock something off the side. This happened the other day, clearly we don't dust down there 😂

It also looks bad and it annoys me.

I've never had this card, but if the Avios aren't there yet, maybe when the statement closes? That's when my dd's 100,000 URs will post to her account.

I had this card many years ago, and my BA account doesn't show me all the Avios earned to the beginning, but I see that regular card spending Avios posted on the statement close date. Then the bonus Avios posted 10-12 days later to my BA account. But this was back in 2014, I don't know if it's the same process these days.

I really don't want small hair animals. The other advantage of using cabinets is I can pick out the counter top. I'd rather have quartz than marble for maintenance reasons.

I’m $2,000ish shy on my CSR MSR and statement closes tomorrow. I really need those points ASAP to book an international trip soon for next year. I’ve never done any MS at all (and don’t understand all the tricks/pitfalls). Any hazards with buying $2K in fee free cards at Staples today to hit the spend? I don’t want to set off any red flags or anything.
