I plan to buy my first cards for next year's dues tomorrow - also CVS (three cards) so $12 saved. I also have 10% Target on one card so that's another $9. And that will take care of January's payment and February's too so I will have a little time to hope more offers appear. I have not kept track in the past to see how much I actually saved, but for next year's dues, I plan to - setting up a spreadsheet.

Merry Christmas!

I didn’t used to keep track because I’ve always been fine with 5x URs but willing to forego that for 10% off. I kept a spreadsheet for the first time on it this year and wasn’t as diligent as I should have been. All I know is I saved over $1,000 but not how much more. So, I do want to see how it pans out accurately for next year.

@afan This is crazy! I have $10 deposited on 12/25 plus I just had an extra $80 deposited today. I am swimming in Uber credits. I thought I would be using them in PR but they have been so cheap for our 2 rides so far.
I have an extra $70 deposited today. Wondering how fast they will claw it back and what happens if you spend it.

I will take real money saved over URs too. I won't keep track of URs earned from a purchase because to me, that is currency I will use for future travel. Now, if I decide to use URs or MRs or Discover Cash Back to purchase a gift card for dues I would count that as savings. (But I probably won't use any points or cash back for dues.)

I put that one aside for a January start. Are you speaking of the 25 off 45?

My plan was to double dip it with the one from Val Pak where you get a $45 egift card to Sam's.
I had one that was (I think) $20/$45 It's not there anymore.... I tried to pair it with the Dosh offer...which also failed. (they claim the card I used isn't attached to my acct, yet it has been for a while) I may just "return" the membership I bought bc I don't think it's worth the actual $$$ to buy in..... darn! That offer should still be showing if I haven't used it,but it disappeared like I did use it! I think mine expeired 12/31 so I needed to use it

@afan, I also have the $10 in my uber wallet too. I'm gonna use it before it expires 12/31!

I got the $10 on uber as well. Not the $80.
I just checked my Uber Eats Wallet and it’s at $0. I clicked through my wallet and it showed I had multiple credits added ($45 total) and then “revoked” this morning. So I’m thinking they are aware of the mistake.

So I guess we need to spend them fast:) Just kidding! I'm not intending to spend mine and expect them to be revoked.

I do through a ton of UR points during a normal year on non Disney travel. Therefore, earning 5x on Disney gift cards is a key strategy towards that type of travel, since historically I go through a bunch of DGCs too for DVC dues, Disney cruises and Adventures by Disney trips. Now that I'm on the Hyatt bandwagon, I can see needing even more URs just for Hyatt. But, I don't keep track of the UR earnings. I will this coming year but not for all purchases, just the DGCs to get an idea of how many URs or MRs were earned and compare how much actual cash was saved.

Now that the decision to venture out of Disney Cruise line and into other lines like Virgin Voyages and Celebrity has been done, I foresee the need for less DGCs than we normally go through each year. We will still do ABD but not until things are more settled. I have a tendency to ignore my Discover card, so thanks for the reminder that I should be utilizing the 5x categories on that once I max out Freedom categories. :flower3:

Got 35 for my plat so have 45 now. It's snowing today so the last thing I want to deal with is picking up food today. If I use it it'll be Thurs. But I expect it to get pulled back. That's a big oops by someone.

I have a very detailed spreadsheet. I don't count UR/MR/Disc unless I'm specifically redeeming it against Disney Gift Cards. Most of that goes toward other travel (air/hotel) or Christmas or annual fees. I do count my Swagbucks earnings and any shopping portals, those are usually cashed in for Paypal that then goes toward actually buying GCs. If GCs are discount when purchasing (Sams/Target/Sales, etc) that is account for in my spreadsheet.

The year is not quite over, I'm collecting for Dues and a trip in January and my savings is 50.7% on $3097 of DGC since May. It's a lot of work, but kind of fun. I have some more Swagbucks to cash out, but I also have more DGCs to get next week.

I keep checking, nothing for me.

I am up to $125 extra. Had $35 more added. This is crazy! I am sure it will be gone before we get home on 12/29 to use it.

My Uber got up to $80 before being revoked. Was in there for about an hour.

That is absolutely outstanding! :worship: Well done!
