I love credit cards so much! v4.0 - 2021 (see first page for add'l details)

Partially based on the discussion here and partially based on the photos from a friend of mine who recently went, I just booked a quick 2 night stay at the Desert Pearl Inn in Zion for mid February. I booked a "deluxe" room and requested the same room my friend had, which is walkable and close to the Virgin River. I could use some soothing river sounds right now since the beach is not an option.

Now all we have to do is pray for no snow... the little car is not snow-worthy. I technically own a pair of chains for my minivan (purchased years ago for a trip to Colorado) that have never been used... But I don't think I want to use them!

So this is a lovely email from Amex and all.. but is there any way to know specifically what purchase I made that triggered it?

I only have a few recurring monthly purchases on it.. Plastic HOA payment, the bug man, my Clash of Clans gold pass (shush!), and a monthly donation to a food bank. I've literally not used it for anything else.

The only offer I currently have is the $25 back on a $500 purchase, and none of my purchases even comes close to $500, so it's probably a mistake but it just seems weird to me.

I always get really stressed every time I apply for a card. Every single time. I don't know why, but I do.
I understand how you feel. I get a little nervous too and don’t know exactly why. But I think it is because before I joined this group I would just get a credit card and hold it for a long time. So I still a have the question in the back of my mind “how many is too many for me? “

Update: my CIU denial reason was "business too new." I think I may have put 1 year like a dummy because I considered 2020 the year I took it seriously even though I've been doing this for a while. Blah. I should've known better.

Those of you who use selling on eBay, craigslist, consignment sales, etc as your business for Chase business cards - what business description/type do you use?

Would you consider calling in and trying to make a case? maybe just explain the situation and you want to change the year?

Think you made a good choice. We wanted to stay at the Desert Pearl when we went to Zion a few years back but it was fully booked - we ended up at the Best Western across the street which was quite acceptable for a BW.

When do support points usually post? I used DH's support link on 1/11 for a CIC. Got an email I was approved on 1/15.

ugg! I'm waiting on my charge to post on my AmEx Hilton Biz card because I need the points. It's been pending since I made the transaction on January 15th. Today I checked and it's not pending, but it's completely disappeared. It doesn't show I made a charge at all  . It was a tuition payment, so I checked DS's school account and it shows that it cleared, so I'm sure it's just a temporary deal, but please, just post! :badpc:

DH got approved for the CFU on January 8 and we STILL haven't gotten the card. Is this normal or should I be worried?
That feels a little bit long... usually they show up within 2 weeks so I'd give it a couple more days before I'd worry.

They will go pending on Tuesdays typically so you can keep an eye on your pending points in the app to see if they're there. I wouldn't worry until 3-4 weeks have passed and they don't show up though.
