I have the biz already, with an offer to upgrade but it's not worth the 250 af. That personal looks appealing though, and I could upgrade my flight home from mco and it'd cover most of that one and the flight there I already upgraded.

But I want to get the aspire, waiting for the af to hit on my gold to see if I'll get a retention. If not then I'll apply for the aspire and cancel the gold. I think it'll hit next month. If I get retention I'll wait until october for the aspire. Guess I'll wait to see what happens and hope this is still around but if I got both I'd be at 7/24 so hmm...

I've had the Aspire for almost two years now and I'm really happy with it. I've been able to use all the perks. For me, it's the best hotel card out there. Second is the Hyatt credit card only because I have the globalist status. If I weren't globalist, I'm not sure if I would the hyatt card as much.

Well I finally got a Chase number that I could get through to a live person. The person was very confused about what I was telling her but she did say she didn't have the 800-278-8830 number in her list of "actual" Chase numbers.

Very weird because aside from that application, he has zero relationship with Chase at all. I just don't want his application to get denied or something just because of that. *sigh*

I need some advice please! Our family of 4 (DH, me, DS10 and DD8) are supposed to go to Hawaii next month and I have some questions!

Our original AA flights (all booked on points) were updated so now we’re flying 8 am – 9:24 am ICT to DFW, then 1:25 pm – 4:17 pm OGG. This means we’ll have a 4 hour layer in DFW before our (almost) 8 hour flight to Maui. I noticed that online there’s a flight from ICT to DFW at 10:43 am – 12:07 pm. Do you think I should see if we can get changed to the later flight? I’m a little scared that wouldn’t give us much time to eat, and if our flight is late we could possibly miss the OGG flight. But, 4 hours seems like a really long time in DFW. Which brings me to my next question. DH and I both have the Aspire, which I believe gives us Priority lounge access and should allow the kids to be able to get in also, correct? Is there more than one lounge there? I’ve never actually been in an airport lounge (I feel like such a newb!) What is there to do there? Eat? Anything for the kids? Where is it located? I looked online and it seems like there are different ones in different terminals – is that right?

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for great excursions? We’ll be in Maui 4 nights and Oahu 4 nights.

We are in Hawaii right now (actually leaving today after 2 weeks on Oahu). We flew into DFW to connect to HNL. I would stick to the longer delay. That airport was huge. Till we departed the plane, went to the bathroom and took the skyway to our next gate, that took about 40 minutes. Depending on the size of your plane to Hawaii it may board up to an hour before departure. I’m not sure if you saw my previous post but AA ended up changing my DH and DD first flight in the late evening before departure and it was extremely stressful getting them on a flight so as to not miss their connection. So I’d definitely take a longer layover to help with any delays.
As for Oahu, it’s very busy here. If you need reservations for anything (luaus, kaula ranch, etc.) book NOW! Many things are booked clear into August. I told my SIL to hold off booking till we were here and we were unable to do some things. Not sure if you’ve been here before but the traffic around Honolulu can be horrible. Be sure to give your self time to get places. We were fortunate to have our family be our guide so we got to see a lot of the island. Our top beach was Waimea (we saw lots of turtles that were just a few feet from us). We also enjoyed Turtle Bay (great for snorkeling). Waikiki was nice but very busy!

I did Citizens bank around 1 1/2-2 years ago and it didn’t appear. I had to call and give them all the info on the offer. Very annoying as I’m assuming most people don’t keep the info around. I happened to have the screenshot and sent them a copy and got the bonus.

I recently did a bank account bonus with First Bank and Trust. I had to call and get them to look at my account to get the bonus.

Edit: Well it must have went though even tho the site did nothing, just got an email I was not a winner, website just said "502 Bad Gateway" and never displayed anything.

I got in and was able to play for both myself and my daughter. Nothing. I did win 50 and 100 points for daughter last week. Nothing for me.

Are inflated prices normal in the UR portal? I’m looking at Universal tickets and the UR portal is consistently $150 more than various discount sites and around $90 more than Universal’s site. With the extra 25% for using the CSP the UR price is still better I’m just curious if the prices for most things are higher than normal.

I noticed when looking at excursions in Hawaii that the prices were often higher - especially since lots of vendors had online booking discounts. It always pays to shop around!

Nice! My sister is down there this weekend too. Are you staying at the HP Boardwalk? I’d be interested in seeing room pics. I was planning to take Puggles with us. I realize dogs are not allowed on the beach so might be rethinking that plan.
