I'm not as experienced in this as you all are here, so bear with me.
Question: I went to the Chase Sapphire Preferred 100k offer and there were two choices: Apply as Guest or Sign in to apply faster. Since I have a Chase card (but not Sapphire), I signed in. It took me to a page of various Chase card offers and the Sapphire 100k offer was showing but not clickable.

Does that mean the offer is no good for me and it will be a waste of a credit "hit" to try to go via the apply as guest option?

Have you had a Chase Sapphire product, either the Preferred or the Reserve in the last 4 years? If you have you have to wait out the 4 years since you got the bonus. It doesn't matter if you closed it - they won't let you get it if you have had either one.

I'm finally getting around to using the Goldbelly offer on DH's platinum and just wanted to confirm that orders from separate stores/companies will be bundled for the Amex credit if the purchase is at the same time. I seem to recall some early DPs on this when the offer first showed up. I'm planning to do a total of $300 in one transaction to get the $150 back, but each store itself might not be $100.
I ordered from 2 different stores to total just over $100 and got the credit.

How long do new CCs normally take to arrive? I never kept tack of how long a new CC takes to arrive before but since this time I did a MDD, the difference between the two cards is noticeable I'm worried that the second card is lost because I've had the first card for several days now. So CSR approved Tue June 1, arrived last Thursday. CSP approved Wed June 2, still nothing. I've already met the spend on the CSR so I really want my CSP to get here already!

For reference, chase's email said 3-5 business days. I was thinking I should call but I worry about the added scrutiny.

The CSR is automatically expedited and the CSP is not. I would say 7-10 days is normal.

I'm trying to figure out how to use our Aspire resort credits before they reset in November. Can I book a room using my Aspire to have the credit cover the room rate, then switch the card on file at check-in to DH's Aspire to cover any resort charges and restaurant charges? Seems like it should work, but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking any fine print.

Hi all, I wanted to share a travel TIP which has allowed our family of 6 to take trips we never would have been able to take. While I currently use credit cards to earn bonuses, my other largest travel savings has come from cheap airfare. While I know a lot of the regular posters here try to fly in first or business, for our family of 6, we'd rather use our funds/points to take more vacations, even if that means economy!!!

Hoping this tip might help the lurkers out there who don't regularly post, but are looking for ways to save. Utilizing cheap airfare, I have booked economy flights (from the Midwest, not even from a coast):

$400ish RT to Santorini, the Greek Islands with a stopover in London on British Airways a380
$400ish RT to Iceland on IcelandAir
$500ish RT to Paris open jaw departing London
$600ish RT to Venice, open jaw departing Rome on Lufthansa

The key to us is being open to different destinations. The biggest tool we've come across is Scott's cheap flights. You get flight deals straight to your inbox, which you can then jump on on your own. Their service scans for cheap flights and mistake airfare, and then sends those deals to your inbox. You take the research from there and continue to search on Google Flights. Once you've found the dates you want, you can book directly through the airline. Scott's cheap flights has a free service, as well as a Premium service which is $49/year.

Another way to take advantage of that cheap airfare you found is to then go to the Chase travel portal and see if you can book it there, utilizing your ultimate rewards at a 1.25 or 1.50 bonus with the Sapphire cards.

Happy travel hunting everyone.

Thanks. We had one years ago, in DHs name. Pretty sure it was only from 2014-2015. Maybe I'll just apply in my name, to be certain.

Thanks for the tip. A couple of questions. How far in advance are those fare usually? I'm not a last minute traveler. And were those trips during school breaks?

Do you use the free or premium service?

I have used both. I saw enough value in the free service to upgrade to the paid service. They so also share business class deals, but those come up much less frequently.

It varies. Here are two I got today:

Germany (multiple cities) $594-
August-Sept 2021
Hong Kong $540- Jan-May 2022

So it’s all over the board, some last minute and others nearly a year in advance.
We tend to travel over school breaks as well. Our Italy trip was over spring break, as was Paris/London. Iceland and Greek Isles were summer breaks.

I could share some screen shots if it’s helpful to see what you get. Or sign up for the free service and they’ll roll in. I probably get a dozen alerts or so a week, both international and domestic.

ETA: I do sometimes fudge breaks by a few days if it makes sense.
ETA2: Another example just came in: Costa Rica $299, July-Nov 2021, excluding Thanksgiving

I just realized the whole lack of transferring URs will be a bigger problem than I originally thought, since dh should be getting some support points (well he better), and those will be the only UR"s he has left. All the rest of his I already have.
Back to this, I see my dh's account which now has support clicks pending, is linked to my last exisiting CIP, so I should hopefully still be able to move them. Whew, one hurdle down.

Anyone in AA advantage should be receiving an email like i just got. Basically informing me they
are going to extend my mile expiration until jan 2022. It was set to expire in a couple months.
I have been scrambling trying to figure out how to use them then decided to just use the portal
to buy something on ebay to keep them active. Now they tell me.8-)

did winning miles in the anniversary game extend the last date? I have to check, but does anyone know if those miles post yet?

New member here, long time lurker. I have gotten so many great ideas from all of you on this site! My DW and I have most of the chase cards except the CSR. I have only recently acquired the HH AMEX and the AMEX gold. The post about the cheapflights is what persuaded me to join, I can also see myself with a spreadsheet to chart my progress in points as well! I may try for the Plat after I finish the Gold spend. We love to travel to Florida, but I see flights in our future to other destinations. Thanks for such a great site
