I know some of you have Hawaii trips planned for this Summer. This article talks about the Governor’s plans for travel requirements starting July 4th. May be interesting for those with upcoming trips.

When they announced the vaccine passport for those vaccinated in Hawaii, it was 3 weeks before the actual implementation. If they follow the same pattern, hopefully there'll be a definite announcement in a couple weeks.

DD is 9, so she'll still need to be tested. But it'll be nice to only have to worry about 1 test instead of 4. I'm secretly hoping they'll say <12 don't need to be tested. Or drop the interisland testing. But that's probably too much to hope for lol.

I LOVE Savannah. The city planning and the well preserved urban layout are perfection. If you have time, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is a great read that captures the city's personality. We also ate at Treyler Park and enjoyed it the food and drinks. Our favorite was the basement bar at The Olde Pink House - the restaurant is supposed to be one of Savannah's best but the bar was unique, you can get food there, and we didn't need a reservation. My kids favorite was an Churchill's English pub.

I put that book on digital hold a few weeks before our trip and just yesterday got the notification that it is ready for checkout. I was surprised it had such a long hold for a book that has been around for awhile. I think I may have read it years ago, but since I can’t remember it will be new to me either way. Lol.

Ok anyone who has read this book, when does it get good? I am now over halfway and it is clear I have not read it before and it has been torturous to get this far. I keep thinking it must get better later and it hasn’t happened yet. I keep reading reviews and there are many like me who thinks it’s a disjointed mess but so many more love it. I hate to give up but not sure I want to put more time into it.

I canceled one on sm last month, no problem. I'm not sure why they need him to call?
I closed my CIP by SM a few weeks ago, and didn't get a phone call. Maybe there's a retention offer???
Thanks for confirming this is still a way to close accounts with Chase. He doesn't have spend on any of his Chase biz cards right now, so I'm doubtful there is a retention offer, I'll have him wait it out a couple days and see if they respond via SM.

Thanks! Mine is back now too. I am trying to time it for June so I can at least triple dip the Dell credit, although with TVs being gone, I have no idea what to purchase. We all have new laptops, I want the Google thermostats but DH wants to stick with our ancient ones. What is everyone using their Dell credits on?
I'm still just buying XBox gift cards, with plans to buy an Xbox whenever they get back in stock. I'll either sell at a discount to my nephew or resell. I never thought it would be this long for them to be stocked. There have been restocks, but I never stay up late enough to try :D

You’re talking about Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil?

If you’re halfway through and you hate it, I don’t think you’ll decide you like it. Personally, I enjoyed it and I’ve read it twice, but I can see why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Just like the PS5. Still trying to get one for DS. I did XBox GCs for DS’s Surface and accessories to go with it. Is this discount code still working?

Has anyone closed a card with chase through SM lately? I've always closed Chase accounts that way, and sent a SM yesterday to close on of P2's accounts. They called and left a message for him this morning asking him to call back. I'm assuming they'll try to talk him into a PC, but P2 hates talking to CC companies on the phone, does he really need to call back?
Quoting myself because P2 and I opened CIPs the same week last April, so I went ahead and SM to close mine to see if Chase would call or just close the account. Chase called within an hour and wanted to discuss other card options I could change the CIP to. I'll have DH wait a couple days to see if they go ahead with the request via SM or if they want to talk in person to close.

My neighbor used my referral for CSP and got the card last week. I don't even see the referral points as pending - does this normally take longer to see?

Still have $2900 MSR on CSP and $600 on CSR. I just Venmo'd both my kids $1500 so hoping that works to finish out the CSP one. Hopefully it codes correctly - it did last week when I sent DD some money by Venmo for some bills. Then will be buying my dad a computer this week and that will take care of the CSR.

DH is next in line for cards. (He got CSP and CSR last fall) and he is 4/24 so needs to be a Biz card. Was originally looking at the Chase Ink Unlimited or Ink Cash ($7500 spend for 75,000 UR's) but thinking I may be able to get the Chase Ink Preferred to work ($15,000 MSR for 100,000 UR's) any of the cards I would use one of my Ink Card referrals and get another 20,000 UR's. Going to be booking a DVC stay in a few weeks at the 11th month mark and the company takes MC/Visa for no fees. So that is $4500-$5500 (depending on what view we get). DD's tuition for fall will be coming up in a month or so. That at the minimum will be $5000 and then books for Nursing are expensive so probably another $2000 there. So, if everything falls into place this is doable. I just SM'd Chase to lower credit limits on the cards he does have . Going to wait and see if the Venmo charges are credited on my CSP before proceeding - just in case I need to get one of the other Ink cards instead.

@becauseimnew- Just wanted to say thanks for mentioning Tony Hinds when I booked our July universal trip

We always rent a car but it would be $450 plus parking for the 4 nights we will be at Universal. That’s for a car that might not even fit our double stroller.A minivan to SUV is around $800. (We would really need the bigger vehicle or we would have to rent the stroller there)

I mentioned to DH that it is silly to pay that kind of money when will probably never have time to leave property this trip anyway. He agreed he didn’t need to go offsite and said to book it.

Emailed Tony this morning and will only pay $120 plus tip. Thanks for saving me so much money!

Yay! You are spending about what parking would cost you. Also, don’t forget that includes a stop, we are stopping at the store to get drinks and snacks.

So my United card gives me up to a $100 credit for either precheck or global entry. I'm thinking of going ahead with global entry but it seems like a big hassle. I travel internationally at least once, maybe twice a year, then another 2-3 domestic flights a year. For those of you who do have GE, is it worth going through all that or should I just get the precheck?

Question for you DVC peeps. Am renting for next May. When putting all the guests name on the room - does it have to be legal name or can it be the name they go by. Their full name is Patricia but goes by Patty. And same with WDW My Disney Experience? Full name or nickname and does the account and room names have to match?

Put whatever name is on their MDE account. If they aren't on MDE already, then it's really up to you, but it just needs to match what is on the resort reservation to link the resort stay to the associated account and tickets.

Ok thanks. They don't have accounts yet. So would be no problem putting Patty down instead of Patricia. They will be happy to hear that.
