Just coming here to say... I didn't know Fazioli's still existed! It has been since 2004 the last time I saw & ate at one, which was when I lived in Ohio. So funny because I was just explaining to my DH the other day about Fazioli's... he's never even heard of it! I guess they still existing in the Northeast?

We still have them in KS!

Haha! Not sure about the Northeast - I'm in the midwest (St Louis area) and they are all over here!

Funny story about using our UberEats credits tonight. I ordered pickup from Fazoli's to take home. Total came to just over $30 to use up all of our credit. I still have a few more Hyatt charges to do, so I was planning on getting a couple extra breaksticks when I picked up to get another charge in. I ordered the breadsticks and the girl said, oh you got a big order, I'll get give them to you. I told her that was fine, but I'd be happy to pay for them and she insisted. The one time in my life I really wanted to pay for something, and I didn't get to!:rotfl:
We still have them in Nebraska and Colorado! Breadsticks ❤

OMG, I am so jealous of all of you!!
We had one by our old house, and we literally went at least once a week (I could eat it every day) but they eventually closed all of ours. So, they are not all over the midwest LOL.
We went on a choir trip to St. Louis in 2010, and stumbled across one. I was soooooooooooooo happy.
Then when we bought our puppy in 2018, we ate at one in Wisconsin on puppy picking weekend, and the weekend we picked him up.
I also stopped at one on my way home when my dad passed last year. And yes, I planned my drive hom to make sure I would be at a Fazolis at lunch time.

Quick question - PC-ing a card doesn't involve a credit pull, correct? I need to get on the ball and PC my CSP to a CSR but we're waiting for our mortgage refinance to close and I don't want to mess with a change in credit score. Thanks!

Nope, as long as you have the $10k credit line available they won’t do a pull.

Those who applied for CIC/CIU and didn’t get instantly approved - how long did it take you to find out if you were approved (or not), and how did you find out? The Chase status line being out of commission is killing me!!
I applied on a Thursday. Was notified of approval by email 6 days later. Received my card approx. 5 days after approval.

NE Ohio here and have one a few minutes from my house! Haven't been there since pre-covid, but got coupons for it in the mail yesterday which I kept lol.

Never heard of it, but googled and found that there is one 'coming to' Clermont, Florida. It will be at 1913 US-27, Clermont, Fl. This is not that far from WDW, if you go out to 192 by AK and turn right to the end, then onto 27 going north. About 10 minute or less drive for those with car or rental. Not sure when it will open.

Wow! That was quick.

Edit: Wait - what nights are you looking at? I am seeing 60K for the weekend nights and 50K for weekday.

ugh, I really screwed that one up. I bet I was using the flexible search option but for 2 nights, which probably put them at 36k and 50k per night when Marriott was running that point saver promo, which expired a few days ago. I did scoop some dates near Thanksgiving, so thanks for the prompt to go back and look. This time correctly :)!

Has anyone done the Amex Home Chef offer ($50 off $50) and stacked it with another discount? I have a coupon for $90 off, 30 off first two orders, $15 off next two at homechef.com/OVEN. I worry since it has the OVEN extension it will somehow disqualify it from the Amex Offer. Any dps on this?

For all of you who have been to and are planning Hawaii... we're looking to go this year or next. I currently have Grand Wailea booked for Aug but afraid we will have to reschedule because of DS's summer internship. I've been reading a lot of reports here of other places to stay that also sound really great. Any thoughts on GW vs Hyatt Regency or any other resort in Maui? We are limited to 7-8 days total and plan to spend enough time in Oahu to see Pearl Harbor, so maybe 2 nights, and the rest of the time in Maui. We have so many Hilton points that GW seems great and the obvious choice, but are there other properties that may be better where we can use UR/Hyatt points? I'm stingy with our URs but this will probably be the only trip my family of 4 gets to take to Hawaii together as DS graduates college next spring and will likely be getting married and on his own, so I want to pick a resort that's really great, even if a bit of a splurge.
I haven't been to Maui, so I can't help with hotel comparisons, but I wanted to commiserate with you on booking special trips while our kiddos are still in college. Dd will be finished her freshman year in 5 weeks and boy does time fly by. Not only is she working in the summers, but she has a boyfriend that she doesn't want to leave (she said she'd rather stay home for New Years to spend with him than go to the Maldives :guilty: -- but I booked the trip anyways).

I also feel you on hording URs. I'd rather use up Hilton points than transfer my URs to Hyatt. One thing to remember with Hilton points bookings is that you get the 5th night free when booking on points, which beats using points for a Hyatt redemption (just a thought). I used up all of my Hyatt points booking PH Sydney (3 nights 100% points) and PH Auckland (points & cash) for my trip to NZ with ds next March.

Also there is an Andaz on Maui which has received stellar reviews. From what I've read it's more geared to adults than young kids, so it might be a consideration for you.

How did you like HHV? I am planning a trip for June 2022 and want to stay at HHV for 2-3 days when we first get to Oahu. The reviews seem don’t seem very good. (Then there are reviews that people love it) We are a family of 5 and I want to be on the beach so our options are limited.

I am also looking at Embassy Suites in Waikiki. The location seems nice being closer to shops and restaurants but it’s not directly on the beach. We have little kids so being on the beach is so much easier plus I think they will like the pools at HHV🤷‍♀️

There are so many towers at HHV, I think that's why you get the mixed reviews. We've only stayed at the Lagoon Tower, which is part of their vacation club. It was wonderful and we lucked out with an awesome view.

The complex is at the edge of Waikiki, so you're not in the heart of the action. But it makes it easier to get out of Waikiki, you don't have to deal with the traffic on the main drag. The beach is long and wide. The lagoon is fun too. There's fireworks on Fridays (suspended for now). Not sure how things are now, but when we were there, the Super Pool was crowded on weekends since there didn't seem to be any procedure to limit to onsite guests. The Paradise Pool was better since there's a gate.
