But, today there is 2 hour early dismissal - which will encompass the other 100k kids as well as the couple of hundred doing in person.

Couldn't they play yesterday? I just feel like these kids won't be able to read or add if this doesn't end soon. I do understand that some teachers go to school to teach because their home internet isn't great. That is legitimate. But the outrage by parents is bizarre. It has felt like 300+ days of snow days to me as a public school parent.

Since I don't have any kids in the mix, I should probably shut up about any of this. 5 year old isn't due for kindergarten until this fall. I get phone alerts still because my number is in the system here - it's for a lot of stuff, not just school schedules.

But - I really feel for parents who have had to navigate this! Not sure I could have had the patience to survive it! I also believe that kids who may not have adequate support will suffer from this and that the other tier who thrive on learning versus being taught, will create a huge gap when kids do return to school. Just my thought on this.

The order has gone out here to get back in school by 3/1. Waiting for the back peddle on that.

I don't have the upper level cards, or Marriot cards, but I do have two $5 dining credit and 1 $10 dining credit now. It say you cannot buy gift cards, have you all found that to be true?

DH just got 5000 AMEX bonus miles in his Delta account, and I have absolutely no idea why LOL. He hasn't supported anyone and uses his Delta cards very very little.

This is a huge problem because kids who have no support at home are falling further and further behind, particularly in the lower grades where in person learning is so important.

I read the gift card thing and it probably won't matter. But it does differ slightly from the usual exclusion of buying mass amounts of cards for corporate usage.

So, I've got a question about the Gold card $10 Uber credit.

Has anyone added the card to a family member's Uber account? I don't have an Uber account right now and it occurred to me that I might want this on younger daughter's account instead of mine since she does most of the picking up, ordering of food for us. She's made me lazy - I barely even look at the menus anymore.

My offers were all on Marriott as I don't have Delta or Hilton. There were no cell phone or food offers on my MR cards, other than some local restaurants in DC/Va/Md.

And none were on the AU cards. I thought I was going to score there.

So, just a reminder for those doing the Hyatt spend offer, where you get 5000 points for 50 transactions, as you hit 10, 25, 50 transaction levels.

I did a Chewy order this morning for $50 to get free shipping. Will need another as I didn't order as much as usual on purpose. It's Feb 1 to - Feb 28, and I figure I'll do a download to Amazon as well.

I'm also trying to do my 5X Freedom on warehouse, Costco and Sam's.

My spend is just so small it's sort of frustrating, but I want to do these two and exercise my CIC in addition, plus now I've got the food offers to track. And my Lowes, Panera, and other offers on my Chase cards. It's getting crazy!

I'm going to have to make a spreadsheet!!! There's no other way. Or I won't catch it all. I'm now a slave to my offers.

Plus I just finished maxing out my Sam's offers on 6 cards, doing online transactions for a 24.4% return, plus a few extra pennies here and there. That offer ended yesterday and I spaced each one out so that I rec'd my credit before I moved on to the next. I should have figured it out earlier.

Not really complaining but this smacks of 'job' and 'work'.

So happy to see the offers on my Amex Marriott cards!

$20/month on my Brilliant. = $240
$10/month on my regular legacy Bonvoy = $120
$15/month on my cell service on Amex Bonvoy Biz = $165

Makes Free nights really free and then some!

I especially like the cell service as I'm with Xfinity and my basic bill is approximately $18 a month to begin with.

I also liked several other offers - $15 off $75 on Wayfair and $20 off $100 on Boxed and the $50 off $100 on Rockets of Awesome, but I'm not sure I want to deal with that one.

Which card had the Wayfair offer? I need more kitchen floor mats since I lost one to dog dishes.

I have to stop watching the news. They had a clip of a woman who proudly stated 'I'm from Wisconsin. This is nothing.'

It's nothing if you are in Wisconsin, but, lady, you are NOT in Wisconsin! You are in a metro area that gets a couple of snow events every few years and the temp gets up above freezing, thaws and then refreezes into ice. In Maryland yesterday, state troopers dealt with 300 snow related accidents.

Okay, I'm going away from news and online to make lunch and to think out a format for my spreadsheet.....

I think I’m going to try for the SW MDD either today or tomorrow, but I had a question first. I currently have a CP through 12/31/21. If I earn the 125k RR points this year through the SUB’s, that will give me a CP through 12/31/22, correct?

This is a little scary for me because it will take me over 5/24, which I haven’t been in a long time! I really want a CIU, but was instantly denied in Nov, and the SW elevated offers just seem too good to pass up. I can always use RR points, and I’ll be back under 5/24 in July so I think the MDD makes sense for me. I’ll plan on meeting the higher 10k MSR on probably just one of the cards for the adt’l 30k RR, and that should keep me busy with a MSR till then anyways.

I was experiencing the same. I logged on via a browser and the wireless credit offer showed up for my Delta Biz Gold. I used mobile safari browser on my iPhone just FYI.

I will try it on my phone. I logged in on an actual desktop. DH's Marriott card did have the wireless offer, but that's it.
