Fairfield Anaheim released more dates through early August. I booked late June with 2 FNC. Planning to book 2 more nights cash to use up DH's Brilliant credit. Hope DLR will be open!
We are in NY also, both working from home...but even doing that the only way we were able to go see our son for Thanksgiving was the new testing option...with it the quarantine was 5 days since the results came back quickly.
We're going to Santa Barbara first (driving down from Northern California). Booked the Mar Monte with 15k/nt Hyatt points. Going to work towards Globalist organically.
I guess I’m rusty with getting new cards and I’m hoping I didn’t make a huge mistake. My DH’s new SW card doesn’t show a date yet for statement close. He was approved 12/13. I put a large payment on it and now I’m worried somehow his points will hit in 2020. I need some reassurance that his statement won’t all of the sudden close and I’ll be SOL. Rookie mistake, I should know better.
Was it a Biz or personal card? With all my Chase Biz cards, I've seen all the statement close dates be 29-30 days after opening the card, e.g., if I opened it on the 5th then the closing date is the 4th of the following month. DH's latest Chase personal card (6/2020) follows the same pattern, but my own last personal Chase card was opened on 11/18/18 and the closing statement on that was on the 3rd of the following month. So if the recent pattern I observe holds true for your DH then his statement close will be the 12th of Jan. I hope that's the case!
I was making fudge and zucchini bread. By the way, my package that was supposedly delivered to the wrong town was really delivered to one of my neighbors. I'm thankful DS will have his gift. Now if I could just get the other four packages delivered that seem permanently stuck "in transit," that would be great. I think I will be wrapping some photos of gifts this year.

I am slammed at work, ugh, so nothing fun like that for me. I did just have fudge delivered to me by the mailman though, from one of my loan officers.
Dh just informed me my present won't be here, so he is upset. I said it's totally fine, it just extends Christmas. We weren't even supposed to buy for each other, he broke the deal LOL.
We are also in the middle of a nasty nasty blizzard!
I’m on my own until Saturday—well with my dog and my ex’s dog. Spending my time researching small SUV’s for ds. He really wants a jeep (compass or maybe a used Cherokee) and I really want to stick with Japanese or maybe Korean.
Starting to think about another card. My biz platinum will take care of q4 and q1 estimated taxes then I’m set with the msr. Haven’t had a chase card since February so that may be next. Also thinking about pc’ing ciu to cic. I think I can do more than $25k in visa gift cards next year. As long as I can keep converting them to MOs.
Okay I hit the $5k Bonvoy spend. Debating which card to do now. Is the 100k Amex Plat still out there? I was denied (popup) earlier, but maybe it's worth trying. Otherwise I guess I'll use my last slot on the IHG card since I want to reload those points.
In big adult news....I just submitted paperwork for my passport FINALLY! I've only been saying I'll do it for 3 years now! But with the pilot BF and Spirit flying to Mexico (and South America) he's mentioned a few times enjoying trips to both locations. So I guess next up will be using the GE credit I have on one of my cards (I'll have to looks when my Precheck resets on my CSR).
Which reminds me, half of my Saks order didn't arrive and rather than re-placing the order, the CS rep preferred to refund the money to Amex card.
So if I don't reorder, will I lose the remainder of my $50 credit?
