Question on the Hilton Aspire card. Do you get the weekend night in the first year or only after you renew? "Enjoy one weekend night reward with your new Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card and every year after renewal. " Reading that it seems like you get one in the first year after approval.

Planning to stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki next year. Will Diamond status get me anything?

I am probably still in Amex pop-up jail so it might be wishful thinking. Just playing out different scenarios for next cards, and seeing if the benefits make it worth trying for.

Can confirm you get it in the first year. DH was approved for Aspire on Feb 2nd 2020 and just received a letter from AMEX on around April 7th that he has a free weekend night

I have nothing worthwhile to say but I may have been eating skippy straight out of the jar today and I may or may not have bought a clearance bag of candy at Target that is basically bunny shaped circus peanuts, just to have two or three and toss the rest.

There’s not much going on at our house right now. Today was supposed to be our AK day and we should just be getting off FOP after breakfast at Tusker House, Safari and LOTLK.
In other news I was able to get a nice trade into the Marriott Ko Olina for December again. I’m planning on 2 weeks in HI again if travel is good.

I was pretty excited to see the plan for 25,000 point bonus toward CP. It looks like we will need to put about $9,000 through mom’s SW card to get her CP.

I also used another trade for a week in a 3BR townhouse at Lakeshore Reserve in the last week of August. I sure hope travel is good by then. Even if we don’t end up going to the parks, it is a pretty quiet resort and maybe we can go down and play in the lazy river and relax.

That’s a good point. But I also wouldn’t want to ask Chase for an MSR extension stating that my business was closed or even slow for fear they’d just shutdown the card due to risk of loss.

I looked on instacart on a whim this morning and saw openings. I submitted a “flexible time” order at 11am, it said delivery some time today or tomorrow. My shopper just called and is checking out now. Not even 2 hours.

DH's 7-10 day message was on the SW Biz card yesterday. It is possible that his credit limit was too high on other cards or it is due to changes by Chase.

He's 18,000 points short of the CP after figuring in the extra 25,000. I'm trying to figure out if it is worth trying to earn those points a different way.

What all SW cards does he have? Will he be getting any anniversary points later this year?

There must be a Pop Tart shortage because I can't even find my beloved plain ones lately. And I cannot eat them while my 15yo is here because he will steal them from me and then there will be no Pop Tarts and I will be sad.

A neighbor owns a Video Game Bar in downtown and since they're of course closed, they are DELIVERING ALCOHOL! Husband and I tried it last night and are very pleased. If they come out of this alive, we will go visit them when they reopen.

We are going to take a socially distant ride with my husband's motorcycle drill team this morning. I am working off about.... 3.5 hours of sleep so this should be fun.

My Ds is addicted to Pop Tarts. He eats them everyday - not the healthiest thing to eat but at least he is eating something for breakfast. I ordered them from Walmart.com on Tuesday and fed ex delivered them on Thursday. They had plenty in stock and the price was less than other stores online. Over $35.00 is free shipping but I needed coffee and juice too so it was easy to get free shipping.

Nice! I usually keep a few bottles in the house. But, we as a family drink very little.

However, fairly recently I was in 2 stores that sell wine and liquors, and I was looking at all the different bottles and trying to pick a few. Both times I left empty handed.

So when I noticed a group of 4 on Boxed for $50 and I had 20% off, I figured even if it's vinegar I can make salad dressing.

I don’t know who needs this information, but with all the mentions of wine being delivered. Check out Drizly (they have a website and app). It’s like door dash for liquor stores. I was able to get my alcohol delivered to my doorstep in under 30 minutes a week ago. They seem to be in lots of cities, and from what I could tell, don’t appear to mark up the prices a lot as they seemed comparable to in store prices.

He just has the Priority Card. No Anniversary points posting this year.

I'm thinking about doing a hotel stay to earn the points. We could do some nights at a Chicago hotel and earn the points for about $600. With current conditions, we'd drive down, check-in but likely not stay.

We have our spring break trip to Aulani rebooked for the first week of August. If I knew that the travel restrictions would be over and that we could go it would be a no brainer, because we'd save $700 in points by having the CP for DS.

I have a CP that is now good through June 30 ,2021. DD is my companion.

DS is supposed to leave for college in August which is why I hesitate a little bit. I wonder if we'd really be able to get the value from it if we can't use it for Hawaii in August.

We are planning to take a trip between Christmas and New Years and if we had two CPs it would make sense to go somewhere SW flies.
