yeah saw this version of it too
https://onemileatatime.com/sapphire-reserve-changes/@Lain agreed tpg gets all the info from Chase before anyone it seems.
Also, it says 60$ a year immediately in the tpg article you posted not sure if it was updated since then or not.
haha, we all know why TPG gets it first... :P

I didn’t. Im not sure what they could do since we paid for three years upfront. I’m so annoyed with them though :furious:
ask for 6 months of Disney+ more.... :P

Both of these new CSR benefits that chase is giving are so lame. Most people don’t use these types of ride share or meal delivery services regularly at all. I have about 7 friends and family who’ve gotten the CSR on my recommendation. Pretty sure none use either of these services. I thought it was lame when Amex partnered with Uber and now this is even lamer.
I already struggle to make peace with the $450 AF, especially since we lost timberline as a lounge option. I won’t be paying $100 more.

In case this info helps: I upgraded my CF to a CSR in mid-August of 2019 and my AF posted on 12/1/19 so on the 4th "first of the month" following my upgrade. What's odd is, you upgraded in September I believe and did not follow the same pattern since you were not charged the AF on 1/1/20. I believe what's been said is that the AF should be charged in 3-6 months following an upgrade so you'd think yours should be charged on 2/1 or 3/1???

So in the article it says:
Existing cardmembers will be able to renew at the current $450 fee, as long as their renewal fee hits prior to April 1, 2020

I'd hope that they would consider you an EXISTING cardmember and that your AF will post prior to the the April 1st date. Keep us posted, hopefully you get in at the $450 number and then you won't have to worry/deal with this until this time next year!

If nothing else my csp should hit march 1 and I'm pcing it to a cf so I get thr categories. Worst csr I'll change the csr ton a csp in April.

I'm upset about the CSR fee, but I just renewed in October, so I guess I have awhile before I need to decide the CSRs fate. Does anyone have a side by side of the CSR vs say Aspire in terms of travel coverage and stuff? I know CSR had the good rental coverage and travel cancellations. My Aspire AF is coming up, and if it has the same, might be worth it to switch to it. I've yet to redeem ANY URs so the fact that it's 1.5 vs 1.25 isn't affecting me. LOL

Also I'm jealous of all these CIP approvals. I'm still waiting to hear on mine. The number someone posted got me no where! Anyone have a number I can use to check the status?

The CSR is still a decent proposition as a new card - hopefully an increased SUB might come along with the increased fee - but the SUB and the ability to redeem at 1.5 on the Chase portal make it worth keeping for a year. Don't forget - you can kinda double dip the $300 travel credit and then downgrade to get the balance of the second years AF refunded.
I totally forgot about double dipping the travel credit. That helps a lot too. I think we’ll probably still get it because we plan to use URs for flights this year (for us and to fly family down to see us).

agreed if I didn't have many UR points and just had my AF hit in Jan I would debate keeping this. The AMEX green seems to give more value the only problem though is my points aren't diversified enough. I love being able to have 2 big buckets of points to choose from and just fly whomever I want with points. I dont see the value in this 100$ and I use lyft and uber about once a month. Never used door dash but now I will just because of the reduced delivery and 60$ in free food.. the real question is do I clear out my UR trifecta and go all AMEX.. I do get marginal points when I travel abroad but tbh Amex is looking better I really thought there would be a 4x multiplier with the increased AF. This is why I dropped my Citi card beside Costco card. (i know everyone loves points as much as me but I love the peace of mind with the warranty deals they do. and 4% back there too)

1-800-432-3117, #, 3, 1 - that should give you your status. Anything besides 7-10 days is a good sign.

someone called chase in the one-mile thread they said
-DoorDash DashPass: Effective yesterday
-DoorDash $60 Statement Credit: Starting Monday, 1/13
-Lyft Benefits: Starting Monday, 1/13

Can somebody figure out how to monetize/cash these out? I have no use for them unless I can convert them into money, LOLOL!!!! Yet I have 2 CSRs at my disposal!

eh, the cash is just worth 60$ period. If you can use it I looked around at least here in Florida some places actually charge a buck or two more for food when it's delivered vs pickup.
the door dash is a minor reduced fee (signed up yesterday thanks to this thread).
Lyft benefits are 15% off a few cancelations blah blah blah airport priority pickup? id value that at 1$ a pickup I'm not seeing the value here. Also, I noticed all this language says 2021 Amex doesnt say that maybe its just a temporary deal like you said @SouthFayetteFan

maybe you can buy a gift card and sell it to raise.com or something? maybe not.

edit just checked i can do 15% off the minnie van ride with this.. maybe that's something..

OK Newbie doordash question - so does this credit mean I can place an order for $60 and it will effectively cost me nothing? I was assuming the $60 credit was against delivery charges only. If it goes against food and delivery I will find a way to use it.

Capital Bank/Now First Horizon-

No bonus paid by deadline so we called. They said we meet the criteria but we’d have to go to a branch to see why it wasn’t posting. In branch they tell us there is only pne person who can post bonuses and shes on vacation and they don’t know when shes back so just check back later. Super frustrating.

Earning $100 less... 😜 😉 (for those of us playing the upgrade/downgrade game)... 🤣🤣🤣
For those of you doing the upgrade/downgrade......I use my CSR card for the security fee on SW flights and book hotels with URs on the Chase Portal.
my understanding is if the CSR card is downgraded before the trips are taken the travel protection is lost. Is this correct ?
