Plastiq is currently charging me no fee to make payments for both Amex and Visa cards. Not sure if this is targeted or not (I didn't get any email from them) but wanted to share in case anyone else has it too.

Thank you! I also did not get an email, but I just rescheduled my car payment and my monthly HOA. And went ahead and scheduled mortgage. I would set that for the rest of the year except we close on the refinance next month.


I completely understand. My daughter is also job searching, though thankfully she says they're fine without her working right now. She did live here for a year between college and becoming a military spouse and while we survived, she and DH would not have survived quarantine. I hope your daughter is able to find something soon.

Google didn't turn up anything. I would love to schedule another mortgage payment but I imagine that they don't charge their fees until they actually make the payment and I won't do it if it has any fees.

Such good credit cards news finally! I like the Amex plat credits - Disney + here we come FINALLY! I do wish they would do something about their almost useless airline credit. And with the doubling of my grocery bill these months, 5x grocery on CSR couldn't come at a better time.

For the Dell credit, if I have the $100 off and the 10% off how much do I need to buy? I have $103 in the cart and I know they stack, but do I need to add a few dollars? We are usually way over the $100 amount so I have never had to worry about it. Thanks!

ETA: I found an article where Amex has clawed back the difference so I will just add a few more dollars to the order.

Thanks! I went in to schedule car payments and made it through to the payment screen with no fees but I could never get it to process. Now it is adding the fees again. Hopefully you were able to get some payments made!

My Chase Freedom is already giving 5X on groceries but I always used to transfer those to CSR URs as the best value. DH and I combined are sitting on about 500,000 URs and don't have much travel planned in the near future so personally I am more excited about the Hilton and Marriott points bonus on groceries. I'm also looking to use my cash back cards more for the near future. The BOA premium rewards I opened for the bonus for my air conditioner installation give 2X oops! only 1.5x on everything and are looking better to me right now! Guess I can do cash back on freedom too, have never done it.

I saw them and ordered a bunch right away. I did SW, princesses, and mickey ones. We've been going through masks like crazy with four of us on our daily walks/hikes so I'm storing up to not have to hit the washing machine as often.

I really don't get the resistance or fear of masks. They are mandatory in my area, and you get used to them really quickly. My son is special needs with sensory issues. It took patience and a few outings, but he is totally on board and says something (loudly) when we pass people who aren't wearing them "Why aren't they protecting me like I'm protecting them?" Good question! Does he like them? No. But he's dealing. If they enable us to help stop the spread and move around with a little less risk that's all good in my books. Glad to see all the major US airlines have joined JetBlue in making them mandatory. Hope the International airlines will follow suit soon.

Same here, although the person I bought from is an avid seamstress and someone I met at a runDisney race. She also has an Etsy shop but I found out about her masks on FB. I got one with The Child, another Star Wars fabric, Minnie Mouse and runDisney Mickeys.

I knew the moment B6 announced it, it was only a matter of time before everyone else followed. I have no problem with it at all, seems like a common sense step to protect the crew and passengers alike. Around here obviously we have mandatory masks, it's only been for a little while but most people here were already wearing them anyway, and you get used to it. The only thing that sucks is being a glasses wearer, I start looking like an 80s anime villain with my glasses so fogged up! No matter what trick I try, I can't get them to stop.

So true. I feel kind of guilty complaining, but I hate the lock down. I'm also horribly worried for DD21. In addition to missing the end of her senior year, there's the horrible employment situation. There are absolutely no jobs available. She's been diligently looking, but this is absolutely the worst time to graduate. She is anxious and can't sleep. She's crying constantly and the worst thing for her would be to have to move back home with no job and no prospects. She has a difficult personality and if she has to live in quarantine with DH, I will have world war III in the house.

I'm so sorry. This has been really hard for the young people who are just starting their lives. I feel so bad for your DD and the others out there. My DD was offered a good job (starting this summer) about 3-4 days before all this mess happened and they started a hiring freeze. No news on whether or not she will actually get that job now, even though she signed the agreement right away. It's a terrible time to graduate and start looking.

if u got the no fee on plastiq, go for it. make ur MSRs quickly
if u dont have the no fee, id check to see if u can pay directly. where i live, its a 2.3% CC fee, save u .2% direct.
