DH has as CSP that we’ll be downgrading when the AF post next month. I just got the Hyatt so need to wait 3 months before I apply for the CSP, if the link is still active when I apply will the points post to the downgrade CF or will the link die?

I can’t say for sure but I believe support links on PCed cards typically can live on for months as long as Chase doesn’t make some major change to the link structure or bonus amount.

MDD suddenly carries a BIG question mark with the biz card approval issues. It will use 2 of the 5/24 slots. And with that huge CSR AF and a bonus that is just ok, it’s not a slam dunk anymore. I don’t think it’s a black/white sort of thing but rather requires some personal reflection and meditation.

(If you don’t reflect and meditate on your new cards, you aren’t in the game deep enough yet )

Ah, so MDD can be useful beyond the SW cards? I didn’t realize that.

I do think that trying to meet two MSRs given the current spending environment might be too much of a stretch. I was thinking of going for the CSP, and then when travel returns for us, perhaps having P2 go for the CSR. (Or perhaps he should do the MDD at that point.)

We do each have a CIP. And P2 has a SW biz card.
