I am ready to apply for another card. I’m 2/24 (Capital One Savor and SW personal) and considering the CSP. URs are the most appealing to me at this point, although if a hotel CC would be better, I’d consider it. I don’t have strong brand loyalty.

If you are considering CSP you should pause and consider briefly doing a MDD (although that would push you to 4/24). This would be especially true if CSR is of interest to you.

I got the CSP and I like it. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles the CSR has, but the AF is much smaller. My DH has the CSR and likes it, so there was no reason to consider that one. It was pretty easy to hit the MS on this one, and the URs are quite useful.

ETA - I was going to mention that @SouthFayetteFan would probably mention the MDD so I wasn't going to do it, and then when I posted I see that he beat me to it.

I would add to that and say that in the current strange climate we’re churning in, I would think URs would beat any hotel CC every day.

OMG I was away from this thread all day today (don’t post every day but I read every page) and the suspense of knowing if I missed @Haley R having her baby was killing me as I scrolled through the pages! Can I put my guess at 11:32am, 7lbs 1oz if someone can add it for me? I can’t get it to work on my phone.

MDD suddenly carries a BIG question mark with the biz card approval issues. It will use 2 of the 5/24 slots. And with that huge CSR AF and a bonus that is just ok, it’s not a slam dunk anymore. I don’t think it’s a black/white sort of thing but rather requires some personal reflection and meditation.

(If you don’t reflect and meditate on your new cards, you aren’t in the game deep enough yet )

You really can't go wrong with URs. The CSP is a good choice and I think considering the MDD is good advice especially if you aren't ever going to go for business cards.

Still no news from @Haley R I see.

We hung the 70" TV I bought with MR points... that was a nightmare and a half. DH wanted an even bigger TV and was glad we stopped at 70 because it was so big and hard to hang. But now it is up on the wall and the basement is a complete cave for him.

I need to decide if I want to move my monthly charges off my Hilton (free night 15k spend) and back to Amex Blue Biz plus for the MR points... or to my Freedom Unlimited. Seems like those points would be in better use right now, all things considered. Something to think about.

It’s a great bonus no doubt, But do Hyatt points have any cash value right now? With so much unknown I might prioritize cash back and points you can cash out until there’s greater certainty around future travel plans. Hyatt will be there 3 months from now (as long as this isn’t the card that pushes you to 5/24).

DH has as CSP that we’ll be downgrading when the AF post next month. I just got the Hyatt so need to wait 3 months before I apply for the CSP, if the link is still active when I apply will the referral points post to the downgrade CF or will the link die?
