Give it a few years. 🤣🤣🤣. After this I worry about retirement. DH is still working but going bonkers from being at home. I am pretty sure my dreams of his early retirement are out the window. I can’t say I’ve gotten sick of him. But I’m not sure he can say the same. Lol Of course we also have 3 young adults in the house. Sometimes it is great. And most of the time it is not. lol We all want our space. And I mostly just want a clean kitchen.
We’ve been together for 10 years and obviously we have moments where we get annoyed. I think the main thing is we like to do the same things. We are interested in the same movies, games, etc. so we do those things together

Chase placed a fraud alert on my CF (nothing fraudulent was going on, it was their mistake). I couldn't log in to the app or website and so I was forced to call. I spent almost an hour and a half waiting for someone to pick-up. Once I got a human, it took all of 5 mins. That call would have been a 5-7 min call before. So, yes, I do think they are running a bit slower.

Fingers crossed your CIU is approved!
Dh and I got a fraud alert on our bank account. We were doing $1 or less transactions of gas to get our 10 transactions for the month lol

My Dh just started wearing khakis and a polo because he said it makes him feel better to get ready for the day. He works from 6 or 7 am until 3-3:30 with a little bit of time for lunch. His work day really hasn’t changed much it’s the commute time that’s gotten cut out.
Yep, same for my dh. His day was 7:30-5:30 when he drove in. Now he is working like 7:45-5:30. But he doesn't take a lunch (didn't before either...) and he's not one to just surf the web or do anything like that so he legit works all day. I really don't know how others do "WFH" as I've really only seen my dh now and then when he had a brief stint as a project manager working from home. Again, no play, all work. My neighbor, who I am good friends with, works from home and has for years and she doesn't mess around either. Like if I need a cup of flour, I just text her I am coming in to get it lol. She never even comes out of her office but I can hear her talking. She is always on calls.

The first week DH wore sweatpants. Then he decided he just didn’t feel right. So now he dresses like it’s Casual Friday. Jeans and a nicer shirt. I guess it makes him feel more in work mode. 🤷🏻‍♀️
My DS puts on a polo shirt when his teacher does online video chats with the classroom. My kids go to charter school so he feels better wearing his uniform for online class meetings. However, he still leaves on his jammie shorts 😂 cracked me up the first time I saw him do it. I’m proud I’ve raised a boy who wants to look “respectable” 😂😂

Dh isn’t that serious. He works all day but does take breaks here and there. Mostly he’s in the living room so we still talk or turn on the tv sometimes unless he has a meeting. I’ve caught him playing call of duty a couple times too lol

My dh spends much of his day in meetings. I'd say 50% (and some days higher) of his day is spent on video conferencing. So, he is either in a meeting or preparing for one. He just has no downtime whether in the office or at home. It's really okay cause I stay pretty busy during the day too.

ETA: Once he is off at 5:30, he rarely has a work call to take or anything to do. For years, he worked in IT in a different role and frequently had to take after hours and weekend calls and many times had to go in. So, I like the current job much better.

ETA2: I didn't like how my post sounded, even though I didn't mean anything by it, so I edited. Hope no one took offense!

My Dh is a software engineer and sometimes has to run his code or wait for someone else to test it. That’s usually when he has some down time.

The recent discussion on the thread tonight has me all like:

If I lived in a warm weather climate I would be all about the year round school. For those who experience cold weather winters...it feels like it would kind of stink.
It’s actually ideal for the cold because then you can escape to the warmth for a couple of weeks. I love that DS has a 2-2 1/2 week winter break. This past year was the DR and FL. This year is supposed to be HI.

I sleep during the day and get hot very easily while sleeping, so just a sheet (no blanket). Apparently today mu husband (WFH) decided to turn on the a/c and not tell me, so I froze!

He was up all night last night trying to fix a problem that refused to be fixed. He laid down shortly before I did (probably around 0645) and was asleep before I got out of the shower. He said he slept till noonish and then dealt with daytime work and then tried to fix last night's problem again tonight after close of business. He has been wearing a "work" shirt (like just a plain button down) and jeans. Haven't seen him on any video calls but he is on the phone a LOT.

I have now taken part in two meetings remotely (one using Skype and one using Microsoft Teams) and chose to have the camera off for both. Considering they happen right after my normal wake up time, it's a good thing! Grateful my boss only requires me to be heard and not seen.

So is the MSR period automatically extended on Chase cards, or do I still have to SM to have it applied? My "tracker" still shows 5/22 as my goal date. And although I feel like I'm making (online) purchase left and right, I think I am really missing the hotel stays I'd normally have, even if they're small! This is so weird.
ETA: I just got the email from Chase about them automatically extending the MSR period.

However, my tracker still shows 5/22.

I have $300 CSR travel credit and renewal is october. I was going to easily spend that this summer, but now I don't see any way to do so as we aren't traveling. Any advice on how to get use of this? Should I book some sort of refundable airfare or something and just cancel in september?
That’s what I would do. Or refundable hotel.

Most of my home attire consists of old Disney t-shirts. I had a Christmas themed one on today. Thankfully no video calls!!! I would have just angled the web cam to only be my face 😂 😂 😂
My dh is on Zoom meetings all day so he has to look biz from waist up but I do also think there might be something psychological to it for him.

My colleagues have all gone pretty casual in our WFH world - t-shirts and sweatshirts (and a lot of guys not shaving regularly). It helps me feel ready for the day to be a little closer to work attire - so a sweater or nice looking t-shirt and cardigan or something like that, with yoga pants. No one really can see what I wear, the camera pretty much just shows my face, but it makes me feel more productive.

We do zoom and go-to-meeting. We had an internal meeting with a small team and one of my co-workers crossed his legs and I saw his knee and he was wearing pajama pants:) One of the other guys is looking like a mountain man.

Update in red on my 2020 Churning Plan:

End Feb P2 : Delta Biz - $2K MSR - $1K MSR left
March P1 : Barclay Aviator - $1 MSR - applied 4/1- still waiting on approval
April P1 -- Hyatt - $6K MSR - approved today
April P2 -- Hyatt $6K MSR - applied this morning with my support link
July P2 - Chase Biz Card - still trying to decide if he should go for a SW Performance card. He has 27K qualifying RR, meaning he's 100K from extending the CP. If he goes for the Performance card, he'll be 25K RR from the CP, we can't spend the $25K in 6 months I just can't bring myself to MS that much money. Depending on the referral SUBs when I go to apply we might be able to pull it off, +20K RR from my 2 referrals. - Will be applying for SW Performance P2 has received 60K RR from support links- this should help extend his CP another year.
August P1 - Chase Biz card - $5K MSR
October P2 - Chase Biz card $5K MSR
November P1 - MDD 2 SW Cards - $4K MSR

This puts me at 1/24 and DH at 4/24.

It's all jammies over here for DH and I all day long lol. I have my first "staff meeting" this afternoon but don't have to use video. DH is in numerous meetings everyday but never with video. His hair is getting so long there's now way he'd let anyone from work see it lol. He's been working like a maniac- crazy late nights and everything. But his job is all pandemic-related. I've been working a pretty decent amount, but some of it is filler-type stuff. Part of my job is to go to court everyday and you can't do that when the courts are closed and you're at home :confused3
