So as you guys can see - I've reappeared. A few random thoughts:

We enjoyed Onward – watched it on Monday or Tuesday last week. We are having a family movie night every night during our stay-at-home time. We typically watch half of a movie. We went through all of Star Wars, now we are doing all of Harry Potter.

For some odd reason my wife and I both received 3,050 AA miles from our closed Aviator biz cards. It is apparently our 5% bonus... I closed the cards a LONG time ago so didn’t expect that. I hope they successfully closed them…because it is Barclays and their TERRIBLE business card setup and website.

We have our $3,400 stimulus money pending so that's cool I guess.

Missed you guys - hopefully I am back to my slow and bored self soon!

So glad you liked Onward!!! I know it got a lot of hate in reviews, but I enjoyed it. Especially as a sibling movie. I saw it in theaters... before it was released on digital and AMC was actually open 😞 😷 I will watch it again on Disney+ after I finish the MCU for the second time this year 😂

😍 I love it!! Happy you are able to enjoy this time and relax with your DH. Also glad to hear you got baby Yoda and he is ready and waiting!
It’s actually been amazing having him home through all of this. It couldn’t be better timing to be honest. Now I don’t have to worry about waiting for him to go to the hospital. Him not having to drive home from work every day saves a ton of time too. Some couples might get sick of each other but I think we’ve just gotten closer since he’s been home

If I lived in a warm weather climate I would be all about the year round school. For those who experience cold weather winters...it feels like it would kind of stink.
The school I subbed at in Iowa had no AC. They wouldn’t survive in the summer. My last year there they extended into June and ended up cancelling those days anyway because it was too hot

I would definitely not want year round school in Iowa, lol. Who wants random weeks off in the middle of winter... although I could see us taking lots of vacations if that occurred. HMMMM..... LOL!!

We saw it in theaters too. It may be the last movie we see in theaters for a long time. I laid down through most of it because sitting gives me cramps lol. I was able to put the arm rests up and we sat in the back row

Apparently they’re still kind of in winter lol. My mom said it was like 30 this morning and they just recently had snow and sleet. That’s too cold for April. Meanwhile we’re down here with above 100 (heat index) which is too hot.

Silver lining! Glad you are enjoying your shelter in place! I have to say I am also fortunate that I can work from home and have been doing just fine with it!

It's funny because I keep hearing people say how they are "working from home" but that really means doing fix it jobs in the house and some gardening, but my DH is working a ton and has no time to even consider doing that. Or at least that's what he claims. :rotfl: In all seriousness, though, I hope things calm down for you and everyone else who is working more right now. I can't complain since at least he is getting paid and I know not everyone is in the same situation.
My dh actually gets dressed from the waist up in biz clothes and then wears workout pants. He works all day, rarely takes a break and keeps an 8-5 schedule. He's always been a very 'by the book' guy and so he works at home just like he would work if he were at his office. He has just now, after 3 weeks, begun 'showing up' about 15-20 mins later lol. My dh is still very busy as well. There is plenty going on for him.

I think it will be my last in theaters for awhile too! I hope Onward holds a special place in peoples' hearts as the pandemic movie they enjoyed on Disney+. 😂 I was so pumped for Mulan and Black Widow. I also have AMC gift cards from the Amazon Amex promo. LOL They may not get used. 🙄

Give it a few years. 🤣🤣🤣. After this I worry about retirement. DH is still working but going bonkers from being at home. I am pretty sure my dreams of his early retirement are out the window. I can’t say I’ve gotten sick of him. But I’m not sure he can say the same. Lol Of course we also have 3 young adults in the house. Sometimes it is great. And most of the time it is not. lol We all want our space. And I mostly just want a clean kitchen.

It has now been a week since my application for the CIU. Is everyone finding that Chase is taking longer right now? I was going to lower the limit on my highest biz card but decided to not bother lowering and just apply as I did not want to wait for them to act on the SM. Now I am wondering if that was a mistake.

Same for me. I SM'ed asking to close my CIP and got a message saying it might take up to a week to hear back from them. It's probably been about a week at this point. I think it's all the off-shore call center people not being able to work from home.

LOL mine dresses the same way. :)

I started working from home three weeks after I started my first full time job in 17 years! I'm so thankful that I was allowed to do that as a new employee and be home with the kids during this, but I am truly working hard for 8 hours a day, and I am still exhausted at the end of the day.

Chase placed a fraud alert on my CF (nothing fraudulent was going on, it was their mistake). I couldn't log in to the app or website and so I was forced to call. I spent almost an hour and a half waiting for someone to pick-up. Once I got a human, it took all of 5 mins. That call would have been a 5-7 min call before. So, yes, I do think they are running a bit slower.

Fingers crossed your CIU is approved!

The first week DH wore sweatpants. Then he decided he just didn’t feel right. So now he dresses like it’s Casual Friday. Jeans and a nicer shirt. I guess it makes him feel more in work mode. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I called Chase after my Explorer card approval to shuffle around CLs and was actually connected pretty quickly earlier in the month. It may have just been dumb luck. I still need to call and drop the CL on the card. I just couldn't decide how low I wanted to go. Maybe I will try tomorrow. I don't want to wait 2 weeks for an SM. It will report with the high CL before I get a response LOL

Most of my home attire consists of old Disney t-shirts. I had a Christmas themed one on today. Thankfully no video calls!!! I would have just angled the web cam to only be my face 😂 😂 😂

My dh is on Zoom meetings all day so he has to look biz from waist up but I do also think there might be something psychological to it for him.

My Dh just started wearing khakis and a polo because he said it makes him feel better to get ready for the day. He works from 6 or 7 am until 3-3:30 with a little bit of time for lunch. His work day really hasn’t changed much it’s the commute time that’s gotten cut out.
