Our 8 pm trip was still quite crowded. But how clueless can they be, honestly??? Silly husbands.

Well I dropped off for a bit again. 🤣 Between work, voluntarily cancelling my WDW trip HOURS before WDW officially closed on Thursday, and waiting on hold for multiple hours to get refunds/adjustments over the past two days, I was drained! Hopefully I have a lot more uninterrupted DIS time now!
Dude. We are going to be SO sick of each other in the next month 😂... but everyone will be more sick of their fams so we’ll keep coming back here anyway 🤣

I've got bourbon, rye, apple brandy, cognac, butterscotch schnapps (for some reason), tequila, light rum, dark rum, overproof rum, gin, a few liqueurs, amaro, green chartreuse... wait, no cream liqueur. How am I gonna get through this without a Nutty Irishman? Guess I'm going back out tomorrow...
Can you be my neighbor? 🤣

Anyone having issues with Hilton website, use the app or change browsers. I cancelled a few reservations last night and Chrome wouldn't work, app worked for 1 then broke, Firefox worked for another then broke, back to the app and got my 3rd cancelled. I think like all others their systems are just overwhelmed right now.

Hilton would not extend my FNCs, the first one doesn't expire until 7/4. Rep said they were Amex certs so I had to talk to Amex about extending them, that makes no sense to me as I've never seen anyone told that.
Maybe they're staffing new people? I have however seen a suggestion to wait until closer to the expiration date so I shall do that.
Got this email today from Hilton

For all unexpired Weekend Night Rewards as of March 11, 2020, and all new ones issued until August 30, 2020, we are extending the expiration date through the end of next summer (August 31, 2021). There is no need for you to do anything, as your certificate(s) are being automatically updated in our systems.

I pulled the trigger on my final Amex plat Saks credit purchase. I used it to splurge on a Le Creuset stoneware loaf pan in a pretty blue color to match my Dutch oven. My nice ones from Williams-Sonoma got floodwater on them in Harvey and I haven't used them since. I keep telling myself I will clean them and use them but I think it's time to put them to rest. I am looking forward to doing some quarantine baking!

I had to hit 3 stores to find bread flour. Took the last bag.
I usually bake with whole wheat flour, I prefer KAF white whole wheat. I also use their AP or Ceresota AP. In a desperation move, I bought a bag of Aldi AP flour but I won’t make bread with it.
The winco I went to had NO flour and no sugar either. I guess ppl plan to do a lot of baking....? You don't put sugar in bread, normally, right?
Nah they’re making cookies. 🍪
I've never used one, but I had an aunt who always made her own with a bread maker. She used it to save time overall but pulled the dough out and baked it in the oven instead as she thought it was better that way. I've always been curious to try that. I used to make a lot of bread in college when I had more time.
I dug my parents’ bread machine out of their basement. It works great. I do bake in the bread machine most of the time but have used it to mix, then take out the dough and form hamburger buns.
Yowza.

My kids' first week of spring break just ended (we get two), so they have another week off anyway. At the moment , our district is saying they plan to return as usual. But a district right on our border has announced they will close, so it will be interesting to see if our district caves to the peer pressure I am sure is coming.

I am grateful my kids are older and even if they weren't, their step mom works for the the same district they attend, plus their dad is an district office employee for a different district who is also closing.. so at least they won't be alone all day if we do close.
Our district (and state) did a complete turnaround in 24 hours. Thursday both the governor and school superintendent said no school closing. Friday, governor closed all schools as of next Tuesday. School district closed until at least 4/6. At first they said no e-learning, today superintendent’s email said e-learning will start Wednesday and all schools will be open 2 hours on Monday for kids to get belongings and chrome books if needed. Plus they have arranged for meals to be provided for those who need them, which is most important in my book.
You should read the kids’ books Wedgie and Gizmo by Suzanne Selfors. The dog in the series is much like those Twitter posts. Your girls would probably enjoy them. I find them hilarious.
Did you say sweets?!!! This is what I did today.
Not our best effort, but this is what DS and I did today 49816634-55EE-4599-B334-15397245836E.jpeg

I'm so sorry for you and your daughter. Any chance she would get priority if she applied again (assuming she would want to go back)?.
We really have no idea. Her program still has almost 5 mos, so you would think Disney would offer these kids first dibs when they reopen rather than hiring new CP's but they aren't. I'm not impressed with Disney's handling of this at all. They were told midday today and have to be out by Wednesday at 11am. That is a lot to figure out in a short amount of time.

I do think she will want to go back for another program. She had planned to apply again for fall 2021 or spring 2022. I'm kind of worried now she will want to apply for the next one she can (which I think is fall 2020).

I have 2 18 count cartons and I am worried that is not enough! We go through a lot of eggs. But I guess we are 5 (hopefully tomorrow we will be 5 again) and you are only 1. Hmm, that is only about 7 eggs per person not counting brownies that i plan on making and some has already been eaten. Definitely not enough! And DH bought bread without looking at the date so it is already expired. 🤦‍♀️ So will probably french toast that. May brave the stores again tomorrow.
Worried about not having enough eggs here too. We eat a lot of eggs plus we bake. I have 3-18 packs and 1 dozen. I usually buy 4-18 packs to last 2-3 weeks so we will have to ration the eggs some :rotfl:

What's all this about baking bread? I thought flour was for making cookies. 🍪

Yep. Wishing I had a larger refrigerator, and a larger pantry. We do have eggs, though.
