Someone on my gym’s Facebook page asked if they could live stream the classes. They said they’re going to look into it because so many women were interested. They’d only be able to do classes like yoga and mini bands but it would be better than nothing.

Husband and I went to Winco just to see what was happening.... it was exactly as I expected and much worse than what he expected... but I have a lot of local FB friends posting their experiences and he doesn't so it makes sense.

We did buy some soup and boxed rice mixes... oh and some dried tortellinis Ooh and a double pack of tortillas! (I didn't even know they came in a double pack! I don't go to Winco often).

The churning angle? Winco doesn't take credit cards

Look online and find some recipes for bread. Most of it takes flour and yeast and salt. Maybe a few other ingredients if you get fancy. It’s pretty easy. Kingarthurflour.com has great recipes.
I had to hit 3 stores to find bread flour. Took the last bag.

The winco I went to had NO flour and no sugar either. I guess ppl plan to do a lot of baking....? You don't put sugar in bread, normally, right?

Not really. Maybe a pinch in some recipes. My grandma was an old school hoarder having lived through WWII in the Soviet Union. In an emergency she would buy flour, salt, sugar and soap. Worth their weight in gold during wartime.

Sorry I’m sharing so many pictures but here’s one from our dinner tonight at Bonefish Grill:

Just to show how small of a crowd there was. This was at like 5 pm though so a little early

5pm is a late dinner in Florida. Early bird specials are over by then 🤣

P.S. Happy Anniversary to you and DH.

I have no idea when our Walmart restocks but I’m definitely not making Dh go back again tomorrow lol. We actually use a ton of bread so that really stinks. I told him to get bagels so we can make those for breakfast instead of toast. Idk what we’ll do about sandwiches
I bake bagels at least weekly and bread is pretty easy to make. Maybe you can learn to bake it? Might be fun:)

Oops--realize I'm late to the party.

The good news: DS had an awesome 13th birthday at DHS yesterday. We got to ride everything we wanted (SDD, TSMM, RNRC, TOT (all completed by 9:20 am), ROTR, MMRR, Frozen (yes, we liked it! Better than MFSR). DS built a droid, had dinner at Yachtsman and DS and I went back for Fantasmic. The Swan is the perfect location and it was so easy to get DHS at 6:25 am so the 8 am opening. My boys thought I was crazy but agreed it was the right decision. I still can’t believe I now have a teenager! And AmEx AU!

Today is our Epcot day. So definitely more relaxed.

Now the bad news: We are homeless after tonight. Our RCCL cruise was canceled. We need to figure out where we move to or if we just go home. I keep searching through all of the websites for a resort to stay at but I just sad about the cruise and having trouble wanting to book anything else.

if we stay, looking for a resort with an awesome pool since that is where we probably be spending the majority of our time since all of the parks are closed. Any recommendation? I was looking at the Hiltons across from DS so we could walk over for dinner As a possibility.

Glad your son had a great birthday!!! I have a friend down there right now, today is her last day of her week long trip. She has had a fantastic time. Wish our trip had been a week earlier. On the bright side she got the Orange Bird spirit Jersey for me. So I will have a little piece of the flower and garden festival to cheer me up when she gets home.
sorry about your cruise, hope you have a relaxing time wherever you end up staying.

Our Diocese said yesterday that Catholics don’t have to attend Mass for the next 3 weeks
My church sent out an email yesterday saying tomorrow would be online only. Last Sunday I streamed church for the first time because I didn't want to be in a packed room with people. Honestly it was really nice:)

Bread making - I remember putting a tsp of sugar in with the yeast to feed it when making bread. I used to make bread all the time growing up as store bought bread was not always as convenient when I was a kid. It was a 'treat' for party sandwiches.

Now, the kinds of bread I grew up on are 'treats'. Lovely artisan loaves for twice the price of a sandwich loaf. Who would ever have guessed? I did go back to bread making for awhile after getting married as I figured it as a cost saving measure but then got lazy as I got older. Then my husband bought me a bread maker and for another period I would set it to produce a steamy cinnamon raisin loaf for Sunday morning breakfasts.

I am so disgusted with my agency's lack of response to all of this. I live in Washington DC, and things have really progressed rapidly with no response from our leadership. I asked my director about it yesterday, and he said he couldn't issue our department guidance even if he wanted to - he's seen other directors trying to let their people work from home full time, but our agency leadership has overruled them and denied it. The leadership had a meeting late last night, so I checked my email this morning only to find "Make sure you wash your hands! Stay home if you're sick! See you Monday morning." And we have a meeting Monday afternoon about regular work stuff, where we will all be crammed into a small meeting room. Real smart there.

Not to mention, Metro will be scaling down operations beginning Monday. Trains will be running less often, which means for all of us still stuck going into work, trains will be much more crowded and we'll have to hold on to handrails since we'll all be shoulder to shoulder. Really seems like the appropriate response to a pandemic.

Given I'm new, I'm going in the office 5 days a week. Considering I ride metro twice per day, and given how many people move in and out of this city, I have almost certainly been exposed. I had a serious health issue about 10 years ago. I've been okay in the years proceeding, but ever since that happened, my immune system has been poor, and I tend to catch everything. I got the flu for the first time after that happened. I got the swine flu when that first appeared. So I'm pretty rigorous about getting my flu shot and it helps, I don't get the flu anymore. But frankly, I'm concerned about this.

I've not been feeling great most of the week, a dry cough started yesterday, and I woke up this morning with shortness of breath and body aches. But I don't have a fever so I don't have an excuse not to go in the office.

Our agency head is an appointed, out of touch crony billionaire, so I expect nothing less. He's never in the building, so he doesn't have the capacity to understand or care about his employees.

Ok sorry, rant/vent over.

Maybe its time to experiment with a bread maker. That can be kinda fun. I have one that I never use, but I might pull it out now. Probably cheaper and better for you to make your own anyway.

I've been baking sourdough lately. Time consuming but very easy and tasty. No yeast nor sugar required. I just finished off a half white half whole wheat I baked Tuesday. It was amazingly good.
