My WDW trip is coming up on the 30-day mark, after which if we need to cancel we lose $200 per reservation - we have 2 rooms and are doing a split stay, so $800. Once past the 30-day point, can I modify the reservation to some future date without penalty? Really don’t want to cancel or change, but trying to figure out my options given all that’s going on.

I called Delta Vacations today since we have 2 trips coming up. The first trip is to Burbank in April and the agent said there is a waiver in effect so we could cancel, have 90 days to rebook, and travel by 12/31/2020. The second trip is to Italy in July and she said the travel dates fall outside the current waiver (thru 5/31/20), so we would not have the option to rebook without penalties. We bought the travel insurance for both trips, so she said we would receive a voucher for full amount (minus the insurance) and had one year from date of cancel to book. I know this doesn't help those that booked with Disney tickets, but I know several of us booked trips with the promotions last fall. If we cancel our credits with Delta just keep growing!!

Here's your friendly reminder that Southwest Airlines next schedule release is expected to occur THURSDAY, March 12th! For those planning to snag flights, set those calendar reminders so you don't forget!
  • Currently SW is offering flights through 8/10/20 and this next release will take their schedule out to 10/30/20. I'll try to post additional reminders as the date draws nearer. This is my Final reminder 😊
For those that care about "release timing" it's been all over the board recently (all times Eastern):
  • The release on 12/11/19 went live at 9:10am.
  • The release on 10/30/19 went live at 7:15am.
  • The release on 9/26/19 went live at 7:30am.
  • The release on 8/15/19 went live at 10:41am.
  • The release on 5/30/19 went live at 9:20am.

Dd's school is in Broward County and she has severe asthma. I am trying to stay rational, but just thinking about all the hospitalizations when she was a baby and young child sends shivers down my spine. We have it under control now, and the stats seem to indicate those with asthma would come out of the virus okay, but I don't want her exposed. For now it's just wait and pray that it doesn't get much worse in Broward. Thankfully they have been able to isolate at least 3 of the cases to the Port and hopefully contained it.

Oh man... they've canceled ANOTHER Princess Cruise now. There is a state of emergency for Broward County... 4 cases and 3 of them work at Port Everglades. This is such a cluster. And now news that there is another testing setback for America. Awful. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/10/us/coronavirus-testing-delays.html?action=click&module=Top Stories&pgtype=Homepage

They told them the day before that their cruise was cancelled?? What if people flew down for it?

Just thought I’d add that my Hilton Biz card showed up today. Only took 12 days. I was about to call. 12 days is the longest I’ve waited for a card. My first statement closes in 5 days. I was beginning to wonder if I would get to use it before the first statement cut 😏 Anyway...glad it’s finally here.
CIP still at 30 days 2 days after app 🤞🏻

To move in the opposite direction of kids ages - DD6's after school care (which is also a full time daycare for younger kids) announced that children are not allowed to go if they have any illness symptoms at all, including just a runny nose. And of course DD3 (who goes to a different daycare that does not have this policy) comes home today with... a runny nose.
Our school district covers our town and half of the next town over. The school district covering the other half announced today that they cancelled all after school activities today and school and activities tomorrow to clean the schools. A person COVID 19 positive was apparently at an after school event a week ago. I told DH to bring home everything he needs to work from home in case our district follows suit.
As a healthcare worker, I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to just stay home although I’ll attempt to convince my employer I can work from home when the time comes.

That's the way it has been. I was on Cruise Critic all weekend, watching the drama. The Royal and Regal had issues too. I believe it was the Regal that canceled the day of embarkation after people waited for like 10 hours.

There are people on the Cruise Critic roll calls right now booked on this cruise that do not know this thing is apparently canceled. It is sad.

Wow that’s crazy!

I mean they were crazy to still go on a cruise imo but one day’s notice is rough

That’s what I would do lol. I was hoping resort prices would drop but they haven’t
A lot of cruises are still sailing without problems, and I'd still sail, but I wonder what the lack of workers at the port is about. That's a whole new problem.

Why does all the bad stuff happen to Princess....so weird?

I was looking for a post on Cruise Critic and I can't find it now. Someone did the run down of all the ships out of commission right now. It was literally 8 ships (at least).

How do they even survive that?

After the flight takes off... 🤣 (half kidding - do they still refund points like that?? I feel like they used to if I recall correctly!). I’d go with the 10 minute ahead of time plan though.
You might still be right. I thought they changed it but the FAQ still says points will be returned for no shows:

If you no show your reward travel reservation, the points will be redeposited to the purchaser’s Rapid Rewards account. Any taxes and fees associated with your reward travel reservation will be held for future use in the form of reusable travel funds under the name of the traveler(s).

I'd rather not put it to the test personally. Hopefully this helps @Artygal90
