I just checked and they have story time but they have to be 2 and up. Our library in Iowa was so nice. That’s one thing I miss
I know mine were walking and interacting with other kids so 2 seems about right...then once they start preschool and sports you meet lots of parents....

Our best friends we met when my son was 5 and started playing ice hockey...

That’s a good idea. I’ll have to look into that. We have a pool so planned to teach him young but swim lessons might be more fun.
Two of my three loved it from the start and are strong swimmers today (teen and young adult now). The other didn’t like it, even as an infant. I stuck with it until he was a strong-enough swimmer. He still does not like it today.
My oldest was a strong swimmer at 2. I mean like jumping into pools and swimming to the surprise of any adults around. Of course, never leave a child, even a strong swimmer unsupervised.

Do you know how early you can have the baby in a pool? I know the temperature is usually the worry when they’re little. The baby will be born right before summer so our pool will be pretty warm

I saw earlier today that Delta is having a flash sale on certain routes...it sounds like you lucked onto one. It is a sign! You had better jump on it. That would be awesome.

I have only been able to take advantage of a Delta flash sale once; 35,000 miles direct to Maui. It was a good deal but I wish there were options that would work more often.
I really shouldn't even be looking because I can't travel right now. Hopefully I'll be able to take advantage of Delta deals in the future.

For the membership purchase I used the $25 off $45 offer.
The membership offer I had specified it must be used at a web address listed. I used it on a different membership offer (like the one you posted). Hasn’t credited yet. DAECFDEF-87AA-423F-ADDD-FE9EF3560451.jpeg

I also had $15 off 30 on another card. I just realized both the membership and order posted to the same card, despite me adding the second card and double checking it was on the order I placed. Apparently I should have triple checked.

Maybe I can put him into our pool a little before that to get him used to the water and then do the swim lessons
Things definitely may have changed since my baby is 29, but I seem to remember my doctor saying I couldn’t take a bath or go swiming for something like 6-8 weeks after....and I think they warned about putting the baby in the pool, but we used chlorine

Does Sam's still do referral GCs? They had an offer before where your friend got something too (I think $20) and I think you got a $10 GC. Was going to do it from my Mom's membership but then the $45 scan and go stack with Dosh etc came out last Jan and that was better.

If there's nothing else, that seems like a money maker with the Amex offer if you both get the GCs still.
Yes. I just checked my link and it's still working so your mom should be able to generate one for you to use.

We went to a heated, indoor pool. It was warm like bathwater. DD, at maybe 6 mos. loved the water, but couldn't stay in a normal temp pool for more than a few mins. Even at one year her little lips would start turning blue. She was a water baby, though, through and through, and still is (went swimming today even though it's cold outside).

I need one of these flash sales!! Still waiting to book my flights to Glacier. I hope they go down but not counting on it.

I guess I’ll have to ask the pediatrician what he/she thinks.

Playing catch up here and skimming through posts. I posted more pics on the hotel thread for Baker's Cay in Key Largo HERE

2020 Goals

Secure flights and accommodations to Africa for an end of year trip with points. Originally was planning to use AA miles but I will be waiting until the dust settles with all the AA shut down stuff and hopefully come out unscathed. At this juncture I have no plans to touch anything AA related.

Maximize UR earning and MR earning and keep better track of my AOs.

Get under 5/24 for the first time since 2012 and pick up the CIP, United business and Hyatt cards

Begin planning how to visit the Galapagos and not pay real money for it.

Hit up a few bank bonuses for the year.

Begin accumulating Alaska miles again.

Pick up some cash back business cards and diversify the points portfolio.

Work on gathering points and miles needed for airfare to visit Dubai and Maldives again for 2023.

My second had terrible eczema so I was never a big fan of chlorinated pools with him.

I liked MOPS (Christian ministry but you don't need to belong to a church to attend) when mine were little. We moved a ton and some groups were better than others but they were generally warm and welcoming (a few were a bit cliquey).

Yes that’s the $25 offer I was credited even though I didn’t click through the Amex specific link. I was nervous it wouldn’t track because I used a different link, but ultimately I did receive the credit. It took about 5 days to receive the credit. I also used the $15 off $30 right after I received the $20 e-gift from Sams, which took a few hours after signing up.
ETA: my Amex offer had the same language must use that specific link. I did not and it still credited.
