The JetBlue Plus Card is now offering 60k points SUB instead of the usual 40k for an unspecified limited time. This is killing me because I just applied and was approved 5 days ago for 40k. MSR is only $1,000 in 90 days to get the SUB. The card isn't amazing, and I understand many people disdain Barclays. But 60k JetBlue bonus points are worth in the neighborhood of $750 by my estimate. The card has a $99 annual fee and other benefits include a free checked bag (for cardholder and up to 3 companions)/5k anniversary points every year (which offsets about $60-65 of the annual fee)/6x on JetBlue spend (good), 2x on restaurants (meh), 1x everything else (less than meh)/50% off inflight cocktails and food, and a $100 statement credit if you buy a JetBlue vacation package worth at least that much. Card holders also get a 10% points rebate on every points booking which is very nice. IMO a decent card if you fly JetBlue often enough. It appears that to get the 60k deal you have to go to the JetBlue home page. If you go direct to the Barclays card site you just get offered 40k.

The JetBlue Business card usually offers a 60k SUB but these promotions on the Plus card are rare AFAIK.

Are WDW tix available through them too? I’ve never had a card for TY points, but am always looking for other currencies for Disney tix!
Yes I did confirm they still have WDW tix. I opened the Citi Premier with 60k TYP bonus. I have a very old Citi Sears Card which they added TYP to about 18 months ago. They keep sending bonus offers to get my spend on Sears card. The most recent last September was 10x points on gas, dining and grocery so we did put a lot of spend on that card. Had 65k TYP on Premier and 75k on Sears and was able to transfer points to Premier to cover (Premier has 1.25 redemption rate)

Every Tues and its all movies not just ones on DVD already. :cool1: DD always has events on Tues so we never make it. Tho we sometimes spend a bit more and go on student Thur for $1 more.
I forgot they raised student Thursday’s to $6. It’s still not a bad deal since they give free popcorn

I had a nightmare with Chase car rental the other night. Saw the price went down, cancelled amd tried to rebook (didn't have points to book and then cancel existing). Then the website was charging UR *and* cash rather than *or* cash, aka double billing. Called and the rep said price was $800, not $400 as online. We debated, she told me I was looking at outdated info. I refreshed and price went DOWN another $85 and she kept insisting $800. Then I asked if I could reinstate the reservation I just cancelled. After reviewing EVERY car reservation I've ever made with UR (seriously, she started with the 1st), then she said "oh, we can't reinstate reservations anymore". So why the heck did you just waste $5 minutes reviewing???? Ugh! After waiting on hold a while we got a manager who booked for the $400 shown online, but it was a FRUSTRATING call.

So, yeah, also having trouble booking online.

Yikes. We were finally able to do it later in the day. Though I had DH do it and he has never done it before. I guess I better check after him and make sure it all went through OK.

Barclays has allowed matches within 30 days of application before. You can try to SM to match to the new offer. It's not guaranteed but it can't hurt to ask!

The only real disdain I thought was for the AAviator Biz card website. It is in it's own world and not as user friendly as any of the other Barclays websites. Barclays can be stingy with credit at times so they can be fickle when applying, but I think many people still want one of their cards. And for people who fly JB consistently it is a good card. I know there's several people on the thread here that have one of them, either the biz or personal.

If you don't already have a use for the $100 vacation package credit, here's something to look for: https://www.disboards.com/threads/i...t-page-for-addl-details.3729982/post-61213316

i asked reddit yesterday and was told ppl were seeing them at the 11.5 week mark.
works for me though, as i dont have any travel plans for it yet.

IME, the FNCs post in batches around the start of every month. So anyone who’s been waiting 8-12 weeks could have their FNC post with the next batch, or they’ll have to wait another month. Since I’ve been waiting 12 weeks from my anniversary, I’m expecting my FNC posts in the next few days.

Thanks! I need to look into that card.

@SouthFayetteFan glad your trip was successful! Fingers crossed for everyone else dealing with this.

Does anyone know if the Amex support annual limit is based on approval date or the points post date? Approved for a card in November, but support points didn't post to DH's account until January. Now I'm not sure how much is left.

Thanks so much. Multiple bits of useful information there. I'm off to go send an SM. I wonder if it will help or hurt that I already met the MSR with a JetBlue booking when they decide whether to match the increased bonus. Thanks again.

@SouthFayetteFan You posted in the past a reddit link you use to easily check any new comments at Dischurners.
Does that work for any comment on any thread on that subreddit?
How can I make one for new reddit (I never knew old reddit)?
