I took 4 little ones to see Frozen today - guess who loved it most of all and cried half the movie - yes, this mom. That’s not a spoiler, I’m sure most people don’t cry but I found the themes and story very moving. Treated everyone to tickets and concessions because there was a great promo with Go Gurts and Fandango (still eating through all the boxes of yogurt Lol).

Took DD to see Frozen 2, while DH and DS went to see Star Wars (guess I'll be seeing it on Disney+ eventually). I liked it more than I thought I would and teared up too. The scenery is beautiful, makes me want to go to Norway. The post credits scene was so funny, along with the related scene during the movie (purposely being cryptic here, lol).

My babies were all 8-9lbs at birth and we also had to buy more NB dipes. IIRC, those are 'up to 10lbs' and we used those for a bit and then the size 1, which were 8-12lbs were just flown through and we were in size 2 super fast. Then they seemed to stay in size 2 for most of their first year. You really don't know how it's gonna go until you get that baby home and start living life and then each one is different.

Exactly! I have a friend who had 4 babies (7-8 pounds) but they all hit 20 pounds in 6 months, whereas mine took well over a year to hit that weight. They all have their own growth charts and it's all normal, but not really standard. I just remember trying to help her and hold the baby while she dealt with another one and he threw himself back (the way babies do) and I almost dropped him, because at 16 pounds mine could hold on didn't do that stuff anymore, but this one was so young he needed much more support. Ah, I love babies! They are so precious.

FWIW - I can gain 20 pounds in 6 months too... so uhhh why are we so impressed with these babies and such?? :duck:

Oh me too!!!! I miss having a baby and all the fun that came with that but then I realize how easy life is now with my youngest being 8 and that is nice too. I'm excited for @Haley R and all the other expectant mommas here!

I have been perpetually behind here for the past 3-4 weeks. Trying to catch up.. .

New job has been great. Holiday stuff pretty much in hand. But my Grandma, who I have always been particularly close, passed last weekend. I am glad I visited 2 weeks ago and spent time with her while she was still lucid. Her funeral was yesterday and we are spending a week in my hometown for Christmas. It's been heartwrenching to say goodbye to the family traditions as we know them. She really was the glue... This time with my family has been very special though. Watched the Bills game together today. It's been decades since we we've all been together for a game (like we were every game as kids). Going skiing with all brother/cousins and our kids tomorrow. Made dozens of cookies today and trying to keep Grandma's traditions alive for one last holiday together in her home.

I definitely want to look at my upcoming SW flights, thanks for that update @SouthFayetteFan
So sorry for your loss. So happy for the opportunity it is affording you and your family. It is a beautiful tribute to your Grandma.

The rumor on Cap1 is they like a lower score, carrying a balance, ect. Behavior that says you may be more profitable. Yes people get approved with great scores and no balance, but the thought is Cap1 is happier if you have those things. Don’t let it make you feel bad!
But it also sounds like they may not be acknowledging the SAHM status the way it was intended (or per industry standards). Hope they come to realize their action isn't as transparent as they think and they could be inviting trouble.

I booked 4 nights at Disneyland first week of May. Tonight I just booked five nights at the Dolphin over Memorial day weekend. I got a really good AAA rate of 210.00 a night. I don't know if WDW and memorial day is a good idea, but I'm not going to lie I'd really like to see Daughtry and WDW just feels more like a vacation. I can't do both and I need to request the time off, but I got at least a couple of weeks to think about it. Cost-wise WDW will be 650 dollars more, but three days longer since I'm adding a couple of nights at the Hyatt on points.
That is fantastic! I would love to see Daughtry too but just no way I can get away from work in May. That’s why I just booked a trip for March. I love the flower and garden show, not too excited about the concerts while I am there but I will probably go listen just Incase I like them.

LB002, Sorry for your loss. Grandparents are so special.

Yeah, I was going to say that used to be C1's reputation and that's how they got into the business. But I really don't think they are like that these days. I live somewhere where every other friend of my kids has a parent working at Capital One.

We paid $1.99 at Costco today. Cheap gas is one of the few benefits of living in Oklahoma

1.99 a gallon is a great price! I had to look twice @havaneselover 's lovers pic to realize she had gotten 30 gallons for a total of $2.37 - amount from memory here. At first I thought she'd paid that per gallon. Cheapest in Maryland is 2.19 with our Costco at $2.25. Safeway nearby is also at 2.25, but my van has half a tank right now. Hope that price stays low.

We're around $2.19 for regular in Central VA. We have relatively cheap gas. I'm always shocked when I visit my parents in SW Florida or Northern Michigan that their gas is $0.40/galllon or so more. But not CA prices.

Wish we were lower. Cheapest reg gas is 2.38 and diesel is 2.88. I just need cheap diesel for the next two weeks since we will be driving so much.
