How does everyone integrate DCL with a WDW trip? I think I want a 3 night cruise, but IDK if I should have it start the trip or be sandwiched between two resort stays. I have a slight fear of being delayed flying in and completely missing the cruise :scared1:

Assuming everything were to fall into place...
If you could only do one night DVC at Grand Californian, would you? I have 5 nights at DoubleTree Suites already booked. My booking window for DVC is about to come open for part of our trip. I don't want to use a lot of points because I'll be using them later next year for WDW. I am willing to part with enough for 1 night, maybe 2, but that cuts into any possible 2021 Disney trip. I don't know if it's worth it for 1 night though.

We did WDW first and then the cruise. The cruise is more relaxing, so it was nice to unwind after a few busy park days.

Personally I would. But I would ask my family. My 5 don’t know it yet but our spring break trip they are probably going to do 3 nights at All Star Music Family Suites, one night Beach Club, one night Riviera and 3 nights BLT one bedroom. I know they won’t like it but it will be worth it for me (never stayed at BC or RR). They can deal. Even though I sense the complaints already. Since in your case moving for one night or two will be a big impact on them I would make them vote. If they feel strongly no then just deciding to save your points seems to me to be the easier choice.

Ok folks...I need some advice. After we pay our electrician through Plastiq, plus pay for a surprise CT scan, we will be finishing up our current MSR faster than expected. I don't know what to do next. We can't hit up Chase for a while, and I have no use for AA miles. I'm thinking maybe a Hilton biz for DH? We would use the points in Tokyo in early 2021. He is 2/24 and probably has a better shot at getting approved for an Amex card than me. I'm just not...excited about it? Haha, I think that's not supposed to be a criteria for picking a credit card but here we are! Anyone have any better suggestions? Preferably without a big AF...

I signed up for the RedCard thing and tried to open a Chase checking account too. They want me to go into the branch booooooo. Don't they know I'm a millennial and I hate human contact?

This is also meta but does anyone else feel kind of...burned out by the CC game? The stack of sockdrawered cards I have is getting ridiculous and I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the different bank logins and changing autopay on different bills and all accounts I have to manage in YNAB. Our next big points goal is Tokyo in late 2020/early 2021 and it feels sooo far away. Also I am very overwhelmed by being a new homeowner and having so much stuff to pay for (who was it who said "Welcome to the nightmare?" It's true!). Has anyone here ever felt the same way? Like simultaneously annoyed at the shuffle but also having serious fear of missing out on SUBs that get you free travel?

Thanks so much! How much time did you spend there, think would be enough? We are staying the night in waco but driving from dallas and then will need to get to austin the next day so trying to plan an itinerary. It is mid-week so I lucked out on that!

Let's see....we arrived at the Silos maybe at 1 and then left for dinner at the Health Club at 5, so four hours. Then we spent another hour and a half for dinner and taking a brief Waco driving tour. We also had a very, very leisurely pace and I spent a lot of time perusing the shops. You could definitely just spend an hour walking around to take a quick look around the complex and maybe getting a quick bite to eat. Add another hour to linger over a meal and try the bakery (if the line isn't crazy), and one more hour to get a good look at all the merchandise available in the different shops. So anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on how much you want to do and how fast you want to go. They also just opened a Magnolia Diner that might be cool to try if you want to have a meal in town and stay on-theme!

Sandwiched. That way I wasn't worried about a delay causing us to miss the ship, and it had the added bonus of my family not looking miserable the morning the cruise ended. It's hard to be sad when you're heading to the GF for a few days, but most people were headed home and it was obvious how they felt about that.

Thank you. I figured with DME this could be doable with minimal effort. I will probably have a combo of 3 nights BC, 3 nights GF, and 3 nights DCL. Just have to figure out the final order with schedules and vacation. IDK if I will be one of those first in line to book. I don't see the cruise I want selling out right away and I will probably go through Costco 🤣

Just booked our Spring Break SW flights also! I went on and booked DS a ticket until we get the CP in place for next year. I wanted to make sure he was covered. I had wanted to come home on Sun but only the last nights out that got in at 1:10 am were priced appropriately so I booked the first flight out on Mon morning and he’ll just be late to school.
Our return is pretty late too 12:45. There aren’t many choice for direct flights.

Those are the exact hotels we stayed at the last time we took a short DCL cruise from Port Canaveral. It was a really fun way to meet up with our DD for spring break.

Will be able to tell you for sure soon, but strongly suspect it will be worth it. We are about to have our first stay as a VGC resale owner in 3 days this upcoming Sunday! 1BR (for our family of 5) that opened up a few days ago, and since we live only 1 hr away, DW said "why not?"! This is what we were planning for anyways, to take advantage of our proximity and do last-minute stays with sleep-around points.

Got last minute club level tix to thr Mariners game tonight and finally got Mom to a game. She hasn't been since I was 15 and they were playing in the kingdome. Yay to an old coworker. Two of the company tix with parking weren't going to get used so she asked who was using the other two to see if she could offer them 😁 Was someone's daughter and bf. And they got better seats than last year, front row on the 2nd level instead of 8th. Was so nice and great to see Felix Hernandez's last M's game.

And I found out the place has gotten worse since I left last year. Another old coworker quit last week without a job which didn't surprise me, she seemed over it last year.

Raise.com Gift Card Deal - ACT FAST! $10 off $125 using code EVERYTHING. Stack with TCB 8% back...
I think this JUST came out tonight and is probably the "Friday deal". ALL of the good cards will be gone QUICKLY as usual. I just scooped up $150 in Disney GCs.

May the odds ever be in your favor... (I was watching Hunger Games tonight)

I have never bought Disney cards at raise. Do they just say Disney or Disney store? If I remember correctly certain ones can’t be used at the parks right?

We have done the parks first then the cruise...however you decide to do it you’ll have a great time

Question: What Chase business cards can refer to which cards? BIL is going to apply for CIC and I am wondering if he could refer DH to the CIP next month (assuming he is denied his Sept app).

I'm catching up, and I don't think this was answered.

Only a CIP can support to a CIP. A CIC cannot support to a CIP.

The CIC and CIU can support to only the CIU. There is no way to support to a CIC.
